Great service. Steak on the specials menu was so tender and well-cooked. It came with an abundance of mushroom sauce which is always great! Pasta was al dente and flavours were amazing.
Birthday celebratory lunch organised for my sister with Louise. Contributed $250 to the cost. All good. On the day, “Alia” calls - no record of the payment. I email a copy of the bank transfer receipt through. I email the email chain with Louise through. Still not helpful.

I brought some foodie friends here this weekend and it did not disappoint!!
Booking is a must, as it gets extremely busy. When fully packed, though, the restaurant is kept comfortably cool and the acoustics are good - lively atmosphere but you can still hold a conversation across the table with ease.
We enjoyed a delicious garlic pizza to share, ordering rigatoni ragu, Margherita pizza and fish of the day between us.
Each dish was superbly cooked and flavourful, right through to our desserts including tira misu and an Italian lava cake.
The slow cooked ragu was so good, we asked for some bread to mop-up the sauce. A real star of a dish.
Staff are efficient and polite. The woodfired prawns are to die for. The prawn pasta was lacking in flavour a little but still tasty. The rigatoni salsicce was delicious and the fennel gave it a lovely flavour.

Tried this place twice in a week as I had heard so much about it. First time was takeaway and then we ate in.
The pizzas were definitely of high quality. Ordered the margherita, funghi and salsiccia pizzas and they were all deliciously flavoursome. The sauce on the margherita was some of the best I’ve had, the flavours of the funghi worked well together and the salsiccia pizza had the right balance of broccoli, cheese and sausage.
Unfortunately the base of the funghi was a little over cooked in one or two spots and the crust was maybe a little thick for my liking, but overall some really excellent traditional pizza - it’s obviously a difficult thing to get perfect every time.
I also tried the arancini and the cotoletta. The arancini were packed with flavour and balanced well and the cotoletta took me back to eating my grandmother’s cooking.
In terms of pricing, I did find that that the food was quite expensive. I understand that the location plays a roll, but some of the menu items were very pricy for what they were. One extra arancine was another $7 and the eggplant parmigiana was $37 - I just don’t understand how you can justify charging this much for ‘cucina povera’ (traditional peasant food).
All considered, I highly recommend Gemelli if you want traditional Italian food.

Food was nice but not 5 stars. ITs worth the try but be careful as there are thousands of birds in the park in front and it's so loud that it's unbearable. I am surprised no one has mentioned the last reviews. If you come to the restaurant, ensure your seat is inside so the noise is a bit quiter.
What can I say about this place? “Wow” is the first thing that comes into my mind when I’m eating here. Food is real Italian and by far the best around. The price is up there so expect to pay more than your usual night out. Definitely worth every cent though. Loved it.
Had the Diavola pizza last night and it was perfection! Beautiful base and the salami was delicious! Great service too. Always a highlight when we visit the Gold Coast.

Once we got there we sat down strait away and order they had a beautiful menu and we order the food came in 15 - 20 minutes. It was amazing the food even though the bill was $78 just for 3 adults and 4 kids which adds up to 7 people. Great service recommend you going there for dinner.
gemellis is such a great family restaurant, with amazing fresh italian food that without a doubt you will love. I have never ordered a meal that i wasn’t absolutely in love with that has such flavour. The staff are so friendly and are always willing to help you, we have eaten here multiple times and not once has any of our drinks or meals been late or forgotten. The staff are so well trained, even when super busy they aren’t stressed out, neither are running all of the store, they are so calm and they manage to get everyone’s orders out so quickly. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough

Came here for our first dinner at Gold Coast. Heard quite a few good things about this place on the internet so it made it on our list of must try places.
We ordered the Spaghetti Marinara and the Margherita pizza (not sure if I spelled either one of those right). It was quite busy that night and it appeared that you might need a reservation to be seated. Luckily we made one earlier that day.
The waitress who took our order was attentive and had a lovely personality. She made the experience feel authentic but homely.
The pizza came piping hot. It had a very crisp but bready base, if that makes sense. The toppings were more than generous which is nice to see as usually it will not have this much Mozzarella.
The pasta came slightly after the pizza but it was well worth the slight wait. The spaghetti was handmade and had the perfect chewiness to it and caught the sauce very well. One of the best pastas we have ever had.
The total bill came up to just under $60, I believe which was due to the addition of a beer.
Even if I don’t like Napoli style pizza, the ingredients and the taste of my pizza with prosciutto were really good. My friend had pizza with funghi and he didn’t like much, but not because it wasn’t good, just because the mix of ingredients were too strong for him.
The service was really slow.

Gemelli - I really don’t know what all the hype is about. The food wasn’t outstanding by any stretch. But it wasn’t horrible either. Wine list was good. Server was great and ambiance was lovely.
If you’re after more traditional Italian food try Bar Italia in Surfer’s.
The food was absolutely delicious, we got the Arancini, which are a must have 😍 and a metre pizza. Beautiful, thin crust with just enough toppings so as not to be too heavy. We topped it off with some refreshing dessert including the panacotta which was creamy and smooth. The service is where this was lacking as our waitress was quite inattentive and it was almost as if she didn't want to be there.
Amazing food, wonderful service! Pizza's were delicious, plenty of prosciutto to go around. My son's 'Mickey' shaped pizza was great. Will be back next time we are in town!
I think there is a case to be made that Gemelli is the best restaurant on the Gold Coast. The staff are affable, the ambience is authentic, and most importantly, the food is fantastic. The dedication and care that each member of the Gemelli team takes shows and results in an unparalleled dining experience. I cannot recommend more highly, though a word of warning - after trying a margherita pizza from Gemelli you will live a life of futility; wandering the culinary wilderness searching for a better pizza. A quest, which is bordering on the impossible.

by far my favorite italian restaurant in the gold coast! i took my brother to have his birthday here with about a group of 10 and every single one of them had a positive comment to say, pizza is yum and the pasta is delicious. will be returning soon!
What a great place! The cheesy gnocchi was the best I've ever tasted. Light, fluffy pillows. My mum had the spinach and feta ravioli and that was delicious too. The staff are super friendly and portions are great value. We'll be back to try the pizzas!

The pasta and pizza are good. The veal is just average. We ordered the veal from the special. Maybe the one from menu is better. We were there on a weekday night. The restaurant was still packed. Our waiter not even care about us. We have to get everything ourselves. For the service I will say bad.

Really nice authentic Italian food not much to complain about. Pizza was fantastic. Carbonara is a must order. Only thing I didn't like was the price $123 seemed a little excessive for what it was.
But overall good Italian restraunt.

The authenticity and simplicity of their italian food is something I haven't seen before. It's not just a bunch of ingredients chucked on a pizza or in a pasta. They've really thought of how the ingredients compliment each other when put together. We ordered the salami chilli pizza and it only had three ingredients but boy did it work like a charm. We also ordered the chicken bacio. Oh Lordy the sauce on this bad boy was incredible!This place just really uses the freshest, simplest ingredients to bring out the best in italian.
The service was excellent and the price was reasonable. The ambience is great for date night (what we did) or a special get together.

Had takeaway Wood fired pizzas from here. Pizzas were some of the best I have had. Thin base. Perfectly cooked. Toppings were top shelf and done right. Staff on the phone were helpful. Definitely highly recommended should anyone be looking for gourmet pizza.
Best Italian food we've ever eaten. We had a pizza and the marinara pasta which were just incredible. Friendly staff and it was a very inviting environment. Bookings definitely recommend as we saw many people being turned away due to the restaurant being fully booked the entire night.

Fantastic Italian restaurant! I ordered the gnocchi pomodoro and my husband ordered the duck lasagne. Let me start by saying the pastas were delicious! The gnocchi was beautifuly cooked with a rich and tasty tomato sauce and the duck lasagne was such a unique and satisfying meal. The selections of wine are great also.

We booked in advance for a Saturday night - not a great table - but testament probably to the popularity of this place.
We ordered the margarita to start, and you can see that it could come straight of out Naples: thin crust, lovely and sparingly used ingredients to produce that wonderful understated dish that is an authentic margarita pizza.
For mains we had the carbonara. A little rich and therefore filling. But the real star was the special - duck ragout pappardelle with truffle oil. Delicious pasta, great flavours, right amount of richness in proportion to the meal size (let's face it, duck is so rich it can be a challenging meat to cook with. Making it delicious is easy - making it palatable in a sizeable meal you can finish without feeling queazy is more difficult).
Definitely one of the better restaurants around Broadbeach.
The food is absolutely incredible! The only reason for the .5 down from the 5 was because the pizza wasn't anything special. But the lasagne and the other pastas were absolutely 10/10. The lasagne was actually made out of duck meat. Was hesitant to get this but figured there must be good because it's so unique and far out was I right. The aperol spritz and red wine went very well with it too. Service was great, location down broadbeach amazing and lovely decor inside. Just a bit too warm inside I think!

A great find and great italian feast. It is a place which captures thr essence of great fresh Italian food, which is more closer to authentic outside of Italy. The gnocchi here is one of the best I have had. The handmade pastas and fresh ingriedients you can taste.... bellisimo. Simply one of the good Italian places that have done a great job at maintaining authenticity to their dishes.

Everything from the service to the food, the interior, the view, the atmosphere - stunning! It was extremely busy even on a Wednesday night, so I'd highly recommend booking prior to attending.
The menu comprised of almost too many options - I thought I'd struggle to choose until I stumbled across the Rigatoni Bacio. It's a pasta dish filled with chicken breast, mushroom, tomato, avo and a tomato sauce, and couldn't have been tastier. It was also well balanced and meant I wasn't feeling heavy afterwards!
Friends enjoyed the Agnello (lamb cutlets), Gnocchi and Porchetta (pork shoulder) - we were all so impressed by the quality that we each tasted the others dish to avoid fear of missing out! Staff are warm & very helpful, this is just a must-visit. Perfection. A rare 5 from me 👌🏻
Great atmosphere here at Gemelli Italian. They were super busy for a Tuesday night so definitely recommend booking ahead. The arancini we ordered for entree was one of the standout dishes. The tomato based sauce on the side accompanied perfectly. For mains we ordered the rigatoni ragu and gnocchi della casa con zucca. Most memorable was the oxtails and pork shins in the ragu which were tender and flavoursome. They accompanied the rigatoni well which was cooked al dente.

COULD NOT FAULT! I don't know where to start about my experience at Gemelli... I've grown up around quality home made food, i have family in the restaurant business and ive eaten at alot of great restaurants. Italian is my favourite food and i will admit i am a little fussy. But my experience here was honestly second to none.
The caprese salad was the best ive ever had, the tomatoes were so perfectly ripe and sweet, the basil so fresh i felt like i was eating from the garden at home. Pizza is probably my favourite food ever and i find some people often nail the base or the topping, but very rarely both. Gemelli killed it, the base was so thin and crispy, but fluffy where it should be and the toppings were how i think they should be- simple but full of flavour. There is nothing worse than 72 toppings on a pizza.
I live in brisbane and was so stoked to hear they are opening here next year, but until then i will happily make the trip to the coast just to eat here. I raved on so much about our meal here that my boyfriend had to keep reminding me that he was there too and he knows how good it was.
Staff are friendly, helpful and so accommodating. Owners are lovely and make a point of greeting everyone.

Gemelli Italian has the most authentic and delicious Italian food we have ever had! Better than Italian we had in Italy. Gemelli's dishes are beyond amazing, their food is even better than DOC in Melbourne, something that we thought would never be possible. The pasta was heavenly and flavours were perfect. Everything on the menu are traditional Italian dishes. The pizza was flawless, the thinnest pizza base we have ever had and was not soggy at all. The base had a perfect crunch to it yet was still soft and also not one bit burnt which is very difficult to do. Both pizza and pasta were extremely flavoursome. All ingredients were authentically Italian and very fresh! The staff were notably friendly, accommodating and attentive. This was some of the best service we have ever experienced.
TIP: Do try the Funghi Pizza- amazing bianchi pizza. Don't forget to order a pasta- Spaghetti Marinara is fantastic, light and intensely delicious with fresh seafood.
In order to rate a restaurant 5 out of 5 it has to be something special. Well lads this place ticked all the boxes for me on 2 Occasions. The pasta here is out of control. Even when I was full to the brim I didn't want the dish to end. The best way to describe the dish is a harmony of flavours that get better and better after each and every bite. The service was professional and attentive and the cocktails were tasty and generous. Do yourselves a favour and try this place next time your on the Gold Coast.

With a long overdue girls catch-up lunch on the cards, Saturday found 10 of us at Gemelli. The ambience was great - lively with almost a full house - and service was fantastic. Friendly, warm and great with suggestions. With that many ladies, there was a variety of menu choices, but it appeared that every last one enjoyed their choice.
Firstly wine - I asked for a pinot gris and my lovely young waitress suggested a new wine that had just arrived in-house - a pinot bianco - and offered me a taste before I decided. Well what a cracker of a wine - perfect for lunch and absolutely delicious. I knew right then we were onto a winner as far as restaurants go.
To eat I went with the gnocchi fromagio, shared a garlic pizza bread and indulged in the passionfruit panacotta. The gnocchi was divine - pillows of gorgeous deliciousness with a seriously good fromagio sauce (very cheesy - exactly what I wanted). The garlic pizza bread was also really good - light yet chewy, plenty of garlic and olive oil - perfect. Then on to the panacotta - this was bliss - perfect wobble to the panacotta and the most sublime, tart passionfruit syrup. I really loved this.
Other meals around the table were the pumpkin gnocchi, steak, veal saltimbocca and a pizza - as mentioned, everyone enjoyed their meals and I have to admit the veal did give me serious food envy (and will be my choice next visit - and there will be a next visit).
All up great value for money, beautiful food, lovely service and fantastic company. Highly recommend Gemelli.
Went here for lunch with my bestie. Chicken breast will always be my fav food. My friend ordered pasta however they put cheese in it (she has to have dairy free pasta) and they are so nice to recook it. Happy to be here!

We really enjoyed our night, staff so attentive and accommodating. Food was delicious, the arrancini were so tasty not the usual bland rice balls you are served and the Sugo amazing. Usual contenders like pizza, Panzanella salad were fantastic, we also enjoyed the ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers. The pasta looked amazing as well but there is only so much we can eat...hoping for another visit soon!
Dined last night with friends. The noise of the birds in the trees on the park is unbelievably bad. If you can get a table after about 7 it would be much quieter. Shared a delicious garlic pizza as a starter and we all had a pasta dish and no complaints. The service was efficient and friendly. On checking our bill at end of night we noticed they charged $3.00 for those of us who chose to have extra on our pasta dishes. Come on guys that's a bit rough. All in all very good but you lost a point for the "cheese charge".

We had an amazing experience last night at Gemelli! The ragù rigatoni was incredible, the meat was soft and the sauce so beautifully rich! And they make their own pasta! Also, try the bomboloni for dessert!!! I cant speak highly enough of the wait staff who went beyond expectations to make sure we had a great night! Thanks guys, we will be back to Gemelli for our next Gold Coast trip!
Nice enough food, pork meal was perfectly tender. Servings were a little small, out of six meals only the lasagne was big enough to be filling, but would be enough for most with some garlic bread. Reasonable price.
A meter long pizza is a must! This place has plenty of good and authentic italian food. I would definitely come back for those tap beer!! ahh just thinking about that beer makes me thirsty!!

Had dinner here last night after seeing it was rated best gold coast italian. The food was above average, especially the specialty porchetta (which was delicious). However, the pasta and pizza missed the mark slightly for us. The spaghetti marinara sauce, we went for the olive oil, was quite dry and the seafood serving was not generous (read two prawns, two mussels and one scallop) for the $32 pricetag. Also, they forgot to bring us a bowl for shells. Pizza dough was fantastic on the capricosa, however the sugo lacked depth and there wasn't enough spread on the base. Otherwise, toppings were fairly generous. I wouldn't be rushing back, however we did enjoy our meal. Almost a four, but not quite there.

Went here last night with my girlfriend as an italian friend of mine recommended it to me.
My girlfriend is australian and i'm 100% italian and work in an well known italian place in Melbourne.
The place is really nice,good atmosphere and vibe. The front of house staff member told us there was no seats for two,but then we asked of we could have a few drinks at the bar and she found a table for us straight away..

We ended up ordering the antipasto della casa,which came out on a cute chopping board with some capsicums,olives,a buffalo mozzarella and a selection of cure meats.
A different waiter brought the food to the table,and to be honest,i was expecting a description of what we were going to have.
Being italian,i knew all the products,so i explaned everything to my girlfriend,but i think that a local would probably want to know what's in front of them..
As main,i ordered the tagliatelle with mushrooms,truffle and sausage and mu girlfriend the spaghetti alla marinara.
The portions were quiet big and looked amazing.
Both were very rich. The pasta was cooked perfectly,the mushrooms chopped in big pieces and the sausage as well..it's also good to taste and not just smell the truffle oil..good job guys!
I only tried what my girlfriend ordered..it was delicious..fresh handmade spaghetti and a lot of seafood.
After that we ordered the budino al cioccolato..it takes about 12/13 minutes,as the menu says and Luca repeated. Delicious! It was the right way to conclude such a nice dinner.

Are my eyes deceiving me? Did I just read the words “Handmade Gluten Free Pasta” on a restaurant menu? I have been offered gluten free packet pasta plenty of times, but never delicate strands prepared by hand in house daily. I feel like all my gluten free Christmas’s have come at once.
Been here a few times and highly recommend! Delicious authentic Italian food. Arranchini balls were a perfect entree to start off with. The hand made pizzas were cooked to perfection. Staff very attentive.
I had the eggplant dumplings - I love eggplant but these were even more delicious! I didn't want to stop eating them - they were so good. I shared a Nutella bombe and was also delicious... And I'm not a massive Nutella fan. Thankfully the waitress suggested that we share. We were sat in a little alcove which was removed from the the crowds but good for a table for 2. Service friendly. Went here on a Friday night. Booking recommended. Great atmosphere and service. Had the pizza rosse - diavola, which had some good heat to it, and the crust was beautifully thin and crispy. A little bit on the pricey side for the portion of food offered, so best to save for a special occasion.
The food here is really good but the servings aren't great. I shared a pizza and arancini and was still so hungry afterwards when usually half a pizza would fill me up.
Also a matter of taste but the pizza dough was VERY thin which meant it was hard to eat the pizza with your hands without it falling everywhere unless you folded it up and ate it.
However, the pastas are filling and very good.
The Nutella bomba is also something to try if you and a friend want to treat yourselves!
I recommend booking because they're usually booked out.

Our long anticipated return to Gemelli did not disappoint.
Since our first visit my husband has planned a return visit. We had planned a long leisurely Friday lunch and when we booked they said it would be a 2 hour block but on the day they weren't busy - didn't rush us and we lingered for a whole 3 hours!
Menu isn't over the top but lists lots of seasonal, locally sourced fresh produce.
The prawns were astonishing good, as was the traditional roast pork.
Great wine list and full bar.
Friendly charming Italian service and the best pizza on the Gold Coast.

My husband had been talking about this restaurant for months and we finally got there for lunch last week/ on his birthday.
Gemelli did not disappoint.
The decor is funky and raw / a wood burning pizza oven dominates the space.
The smells are amazing.
The menu is vast and includes classics as well as innovative Italian dishes. Lots of Gluten free options make it a winner with me.
Wine list was pleasing and reasonably priced.

Portion sizes too big but great value for money. I am not a Queensland local but I had read a number of reviews about Gemelli Italian, citing it as the best Italian on the Gold Coast. The service my dining partner and I received was outstanding and we enjoyed all of the beautiful food. I could not go past ordering a wood oven pizza, the base was absolutely amazing but the toppings seemed to be just dumped on top in the centre which was a shame. Portion sizes were out of control for the mains and the dessert, we were not able to finish everything and I hate to see good food go to waste. Maybe reduce the serving sizes? In saying that for what we spent we definitely got our monies worth. I would recommend and dine here again.
