Review Sushi Train - Broadbeach

Overall, it was a good place to dine at and we enjoyed a variety of sushi. Just one let down was a poor customer service. A waiter served a plate of sushi that we didn’t order. He insisted that we definitely ordered and said “You GUYS must have ordered” showing us the order docket that has our table number. We were confused since he seemed very confident about it and that they had no doubt that we ordered it. While we were trying to check the order history on our phone app, the waiter left us without saying anything. He then served the dish to the other table. No explanation. No apologies. Since the order docket he showed me had our table number on, I asked him if he took off the item out of our bill. However my question must have sounded stupid for him and he just said "no, cuz it was not in your bill from the beginning anyway" Very rude manner. It was their mistake but no apologies, no explanations. It was a very bad aftertaste. Their sushi quality is really good, even for me - pure Japanese, but i question about the waiter's behavior. There was not something that was praised.

wow this sushi train truly is one of the fanciest sushi trains i’ve been to. the atmosphere, seating, decor and lighting of it is insanely good and makes it feel more of a five star restaurant fine dining than a sushi train. a wide selection of sushi’s, all super fresh~ staff were still friendly and fast as they could be on a friday night with jam packed dine in and takeaway orders~ appreciate the hard work!!! ordered a couple of plates of sushi and a tempura prawn udon, all super yummy!! definitely an amazing experience and might i say the best sushi train i’ve been to!!!

The food was absolutely delicious, highly recommend in that respect. Ordering was not very easy, unfortunately. We had troubles with the app and tried calling to place an order but they don’t accept orders any way other than online or via the app. My sister ended up going in, placed the order online but it wasn’t made clear that she then had to pay them at the register before the order was actually placed and being made. Possibly more of an eat in destination, the food was delicious, but not so easy to take away.

Staff are astonishingly rude here - terrible service. Nothing like it use to be back when this Sushi Train was still on the GC Highway. Food is good here, but you can't get away from the absolutely god awful, down right rude customer service. TO THE SUSHI TRAIN STAFF: if you don't like your job, please find other employment - don't make everyone else suffer. TO OWNERS: Train your staff or you won't have a restaurant soon. Plenty of other nice sushi places on the GC.

I went in this restaurant with a friend, the food was nice, but I’m so disappointed about the staff, I don’t know if was the manager or part of the staff, but she’s definitely need to change job! I ordered a miso soup at the end of the dinner, the soup arrived like 10 second after my order, which is was a bit surprise and was completely boiling. I asked to the waitress to give me an extra bowl with some cold water to try to cool it down a bit the soup and she reply that she couldn’t do anything about it and I only had to wait until the soup was not that boiling. I was waiting there with my friend for about 30 mins and after my request that they didn’t do it, we wanted to leave. The waitress arrived to count the meals and I said in a kind way that I wouldn’t pay for my soup cause I couldn’t drink it and didn’t even taste it, she started to complain and said that she never saw that in a restaurant if you don’t finish something you don’t have to pay for it and I explain that I was working in hospitality as well and I know how this is working. She started to be so RUDE and she said to me to never come back in the restaurant again. Well.. I’ll definitely never come back there and I’ll never gonna speak in a nice way about it. Sorry for the coworker and for the good people working there, but that girl she really need to change her job.

I’m super reluctant to ever leave a bad review but wow. Unbelievably horrible service. I have never encountered such a rude waitress. Also have food poisoning from here. We came for dinner so I don’t know if they had the sushi sitting out since the morning. First time going to this sushi train and will never be going back here again.

Cool sushi train restaurant. I love the fact that there are a lot of booths so groups can actually sit and enjoy their meal together. Service was average. The best part about my stay was the old skool RnB music 🥰 The food was good. This restaurant is fully licensed so people who enjoy alcoholic drinks can enjoy a drink while enjoying the sushi.

Had lunch here and the staff were all so enthusiastic and lovely. The sushi all tasted really fresh and delicious the only thing was that the staff didn't really check up on you and you had to wait a while to call them over but everything else was all really good and I will definitely be back :))

Took my partner who has never eaten nor been to a Japanese restaurant. I on the other hand love Sushi Train and this one had a lot to prove as my home town one in Adelaide is great!
I had to ask for a fork for my partner and this was done in an easy way with the staff very kind to both of us.
The food was delish, and the atmosphere was very comfortable!

I've been eating here for over ten years whenever I'm in the Gold Coast and was delighted to pay a visit over Mother's Day weekend. I can only dream that one day this delicious franchise will extend to Melbourne. Until such time I will have to be content with my annual eating long weekend trips to Queensland and Sydney. The aburi salmon is phenomenal. There's nothing like getting the blow torch out on lovely fresh salmon topped with Japanese mayo and sweet teriyaki sauce. I can practically eat ten plates of it and it's literally my idea of heaven. Loss of a half point due to expensive pricing relative to other sushi trains
