Maybe too quiet an atmosphere for some but we had amazing food and service and it was a Sunday night. The manager warned us before we took a table that there may be a delay due to a rush on the kitchen. We greatly appreciated her honesty and the choice to take on the wait. We are glad we did and appreciated even more that the wait was minimal. Our thanks and compliments especially to the chef. We could not fault our meals and the staff were delightful. One of the most delicious meals, a great night, and quality food. Thank you.

For dinner, Bistro On 3 offers 6 entrees, 8 mains including 4 char grill dishes and 4 desserts or a cheese platter. The French onion soup was not nice and I would not recommend it. The other entree dish we had was the garlic cognac prawns. It was nice but too salty for my liking. The standout dish of the night was the large pot of mussels cooked in a white wine cream sauce . It was served with a freshly baked baguette. Highly recommended it. The 400g T bone steak was cooked correctly as we ordered it. Our meal was completed with the creme caramel which we enjoyed. The restaurant was very quiet, especially for a Saturday night so lack atmosphere. However, the waiter was friendly and attentive. For breakfast the restaurant was nice and bright and very busy. It was totally different to our dinner experience. The breakfast buffet offered a great range of dishes including some Asian breakfast items. The breakfast also included barista made coffee.

Service was good, however.... The food was way too salty, we had the scallops for entree and the scallops were so salty we had to eat bread to wash it down. It was even saltier than the bacon on the dish! For mains we order the tea-smoked duck, and the beef cheeks, and a side of green beans, again, everything had too much salt! If it wasn't for the salt, the meal would have been more enjoyable. Take it easy chef!!

We ordered just entrees for dinner tonight. All delicious. Great service. Staff very attentive. Great selection of food. Well priced. We really enjoyed it!! The only criticism would be they need some soft lighting rather than the bright white lights. Would make it feel more comfortable and relaxing. But overall loved it. PS - Google says the restaraunt is closed after 3pm. Not the case.. it is open for dinner also as we found out!

This used to be our favourite restaurant... the best French food & in particular, eye fillet steak on the Gold Coast....Pear Tarte tartin to die for! Unfortunately the chef & the menu have changed now all meat is cheap cuts that you would expect to get at a pub. $50 for a thin piece of rump... fatty scotch fillet... ordinary desserts & no NZ wines by the glass! The service is impeccable & always has been. But as there are so few French Restaurants on the Gold Coast we expect to see fantastic French food.

Food bland and expensive. $26 for a children’s burger with meat and sauce on a bun. Snails had empty shells, lamb chunks in watery juice with half a baby carrot and four peas. No taste or flavour French onion soup with thick layer of cheese on top and black burnt liquid under Really bad meal Bad service. Three staff for twenty full tables. Not good for Accor members

The service was very much pleasing, but my family and i weren’t impressed with the time we had to wait to get our food. We went out for dinner with our family friends tonight and asked the kids meals to be brought first which took around a 1/2 hr wait. What really didn’t make me happy was that we waited another 45 minutes to get our food. No argument, the food was delicious but i was quite upset with how small my lamb pieces were. My parents and their friends were very much impressed with their meals. Overall very much happy with the service and food.

We came back here for breakfast the following morning and I cant deny it was THE best breakfast i’ve had in the past week. Even though it was a buffet, the food was all prepared fantastically and i was very happy with how when my family and I came into the restaurant we were asked what coffee we’d like, and that as soon as we sat down at our table our coffees were served even before half of us sat down.

We stayed at Sofitel hotel and opted for the buffet breakfast. Upon reservation they made it sound so good. Well it was good but not really $45 per person good. I think the hash browns were amazing. It had a really nice taste to it. The bacon was also good. The sausages looked weird but it is a French hotel, so perhaps it was a French specialty- we didn't try it. Overall the quality was good and fresh compared to most buffet places. I didn't try the congee (I think that's what it was, looked Asian style) and surrounding area as an inconsiderate lady was coughing over the foods... it was a shame that staff couldn't ask her to cover her mouth or to stand to the side. One of those social subjects in how not to offend a person. A lot of surrounding places did have breakfast specials $10-15. Though buffet breakfast are awesome especially when it's in the same building.

Nice place, with an excellent waiter team. Service really good. The food was delicious, tried a Pork that was perfectly cooked and a slow cooked beef that was also good. Good apple pie as a final treat, that was good.

I had my first meal at my hotel and it was at Bistro On3. I ordered the Angus Beef Rump and it came well presented as per the photo. Every bite of the steak was juicy and totally mouth watering. I did not even have to pour the mushroom sauce on as it was that tasty! The sides of mushroom, onion rings, tomato and chips made great accompaniment and was perfectly cooked! Only comment is the chunky fries could do with a bit more flavour.

After tasting the local fare around Broadbeach I wished I had just stayed and ate at my hotel! Well done team!

Disappointed. Went there on bastille day. There were no decorations to celebrate at all. Service was slow. Pork medallions were first served cold then served the 2nd lot which were dry. Beef cheeks were delicious.

Redeemed a voucher from DIMMI and had a lunch at this Award Winning restaurant. It was a quiet lunch and we were the only table there. Ordered the Escargots and Veal Sweetbreads as entrees. I could not say that they were not good but they just lacked the point of appreciation as we expected that it should be better. When the mains presented on the tables, same feelings happened. Duck breast was done alright but too strong Asian elements for the French Cuisine and the Pork Loin Mignon was too dry. In addition, plating skill on all dishes seemed to be similar that lead to the boring effect. Overall experience was so so......

Little pricey if you aren't an accor member however, I thought the food was spot on and the service was Great. Probably
not suitable for young children.

Distinguished rather than rustic, the Parisian skyline featured on a scrim above the wine buffet is the telltale food origin marker. Otherwise, you could be forgiven for mistaking the room’s retro sophistication for the dining room of a gentleman’s club, its tones of earthy brown sedate and discrete. It carries the hallmarks of the Sofitel’s sophistication, rather than the earthiness of a traditional French bistro.
The cuisine at Bistro on 3 is ‘classic French’ with a modern Australian twist. It follows the trend of many French bistros in offering lighter fare and foods on trend for their health conscious clientele. In fairness, though, it could be said that Bistro on 3 has been inspired by French bistros, transcending their earthiness in the Sofitel’s inimitable way, to another level of dining: classic French cuisine for the sophisticated new world diner.

We are Accor members and with our discount this place is not worth a cent. Terrible food , not kid friendly with food choices on menu! What a disgrace to the reputation of Sofitel.. Someone had better pull their finger out here as I will never return again !!!!!!!

Absolutely disgraceful for the price
