Review Imperial At The Star - Broadbeach

We are Queenslanders and were taken to this venue by our Son In Law and daughter. We can honestly say we've never experienced better food presentation, quality of service and a desire from the personnel to ensure our repast was to our expectations. We couldn't fault any aspect. If you want a genuine quality Chinese repast experience you couldn't go past this restaurant. John and Kathy Mackay.

Very pricey authentic Chinese food. Food was up too standard. However, the service was poor as they were too busy even at 9pm.

Fantastic service, always coming around asking if drinks were needed and topping up the water. Food was so tasty and cooked great. Price a little dearer but happy to pay. All the Covid protocols in place. Would go back

Nice Chinese restaurant, especially good priced for lunches. Delicious food, very welcoming atmosphere, thank you!

The food is nothing special. Food menu is too expensive and the wine menu is not good. After paying $375 for 2 people, we weren’t full or satisfied. The whole experience was underwhelming.

Dated setting. Over the top use of silverware and crockery. Ok service. Food was so so. Nothing bad. Nothing amazing. Surprised they asked for a tip? 3 stars.

A lovely, open and airy hotel with great facilities and an awesome location with amazing views! We'll be coming back. ;)

I would probably give it 5 stars if it was half the price. But from best Chinese restaurant in Queensland that charges $28 for a bowl of fried veggies I expected a little bit more! Staff was OK, fast and friendly, but when I asked what he would recommend me as I am not very familiar with Chinese cuisine, he didn't really recommend anything! So I asked - is the duck good? He said - yes, it's good. I ordered duck. Was it good? Yes, it was. Was it any different from other cheap places in Southport? No, it wasn't! There was nothing particularly amazing about all the food that we ordered - spring rolls, some chicken and veggies. I expected flavor explosion in my mouth but nothing happened, it was just OK. We went there as we were going to the concert and wanted to have dinner in the same place. So it was the first and the last time for me - didn't worth the money. And at the checkout the lady asked me if I want to leave tips to the waiters. Honestly, I didn't as I thought I am already paying too much... But the way she said it I felt like I have to do it otherwise I will be last piece of sh@t...
