Review The Coffee & Tea Factory - Broadbeach

I found the Coffee to be good and consistent. I enjoyed some cakes there that were very nice though quite expensive. Its a nicely set up Cafe nice enough atmosphere. Service for me was always quick, with a smile, efficient. My difficulty was when I took an older friend who has a walker. Apparently there is nowhere in the Cafe where a walker can reside. Also took my older friend there with her family to enjoy her birthday. The staff were not at all accommodating regarding seating and also my friends damned inconvenient walker......again. Pac Fair Concierge were incredibly helpful in directing us to another Cafe. In this day and age I would think it wouldn't be problematic for individuals of age or with a disability to be accommodated in a friendly understanding fashion. You shouldn't really have to look for that.

Booked high tea for 6 people and was given a table for 4 people with a couple of chairs on the end. Tight cramped space -table just about fitted 4 people. When I booked (3 weeks earlier) I asked for vegetarian option- all we were given was cheese ,tomatoes and onions in different combinations. First drink we got had a fly init! which we obviously sent back- makes me wonder how clean this place is. We went on a groupon voucher but even at that price the place was not worth the money. Cakes were literally ends of the cake they sell in the cafe- no special cakes for high tea. Only positive - scones were good.

Shocking. Paid for a high tea for 4 people on Scoopon . The coffee was only warm, the sandwiches were all hard like they had been made early and left uncovered. The scones were still doughy in the centre and the frozen slices (that I buy from supermarket) were still frozen. I was really unhappy and we did complain. The girl asked us if we wanted her to thaw the slices out??????????? Told her no thanks bring us fresh cakes please as a high tea should be. The high tea picture on their site is completely different to what we had. Because I brought through Scoopon were we classed as a low tea? Never again.

Today we had the pleasure of having a High Tea. It was a wonderful experience. The food was plentiful and nicely presented. Sandwiches included smoked salmon and cream cheese and turkey and cranberry sauce. Sweets and scones were great. Drinks of your choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this to anyone. A wonderful treat.

would rate this place zero stars if it was possible. My partner and I went for breakfast and we think McDonalds has a better breakfast. I had pancakes, she had Belgian waffles. Both were the frozen kind and super dry. But forget about asking for extra syrup, because the staff make you feel like you are an inconvenience just being there. Extremely unfriendly staff. You can see into the kitchen from almost every table, which is a bit of an eyesore. Especially when a staff member was standing in the doorway of the kitchen eating a sandwich. You could smell the garbage from the kitchen, so much so that we had to move tables. The glassware for table water was dirty, just like all the tables, dirty and sticky. I ordered an iced mocha with a triple coffee shot and I couldn't taste the coffee at all. I thought I was served my partners iced chocolate by mistake. Her iced chocolate wasn't great either, we also asked for extra chocolate in it, but again that didn't happen. We were there for around 40 minutes, and seen 2 other tables complain about food and the tea. It is quite a shame that the food, coffee and staff are bad, because I really like the decor and location. It is a place we will never visit again. The online menu is completely different from the menu in store.

Ordered two things, Big Brekky and French Toast. Requested eggs in the big brekky to be sunny side up. Meals arrived after a decent wait. No one came to check if we're enjoying the food. Eggs were not sunny side up as requested. Asked to rectify and was given sunny side up eggs with one side burnt. French toast was burned on the side not visible. Very mediocre experience, but according to girlfriend it was very bad. Most likely wont come back. Edit: Ordered a ginger beer as well. Was served the ginger beer by itself, no glass accompanied. Had to ask for a glass only to be given a dirty glass. Ended up drinking from the bottle, one could also do at the comfort of their own home.

I would also give 0 stars if possible. The food matched the service. The staff were quite arrogant, and ignored me at first. There were dirty tables, other people sitting near me were also complaining. The coffee was so weak that i thought they forgot to put any in at all. I will not be going back, which is a shame, because the decor is quite nice.

Cosy little place with a nice atmosphere. High Tea was lovely, the only comment I have is please use real cream, especially when you are serving scones with a nice jam. Coffee was hot, and bottomless! Keep up the good work.

My friend and I popped in here for brunch while on a shopping trip to Pacific Fair. I was particularly hungry so I ordered a B.L.T with chicken on Turkish bread with a pot of English Breakfast tea. The pot of tea was very generous. I could have easily have gotten 3 cups out of it. However, it was incredibly strong for my liking, At $6 for a pot of tea, I find that to be on the steep side for a pot of tea. The BLT arrived after a bit of a delay. Whilst it looked very nice on the plate, they had forgotten that I'd ordered it on Turkish break. It was served with plain white bread. None the less, it was appetising and nice enough to eat. and given the short delay already, I wasn't keen to mention that they had served it on the wrong type of bread. However, what shocked me the most was how the chicken arrived. When it said on the menu 'B.L.T with Chicken' I crazily assumed that the chicken would be in the B.L.T. It wasn't! The chicken arrived, chopped up into small pieces, looking dry and was even later than the B.L.T and looked nothing short of unappetising. Needless to say, looking at this small plate of diced chicken I did not eat it, as it simply looked uninviting.

Don't get me wrong, this place seems to specialise on tea and coffee, cakes and High Tea being a big draw card. I might well be back to sample their cakes or High Tea. But, I won't be back for their B.L.T with Chicken!!

The service is friendly and the food and coffee us great. You do pay a little more than normally expected but is worth the price as anything is great.

An upmarket establishment in the Pacific Fair complex food court. Plush floors & seating reminiscent of old England/ Shingle Inn type. You will pay the price, but the coffee is good. My flat white was perfectly poured with good strength. Try the amazing macarons too the blood orange ones are a delight
