Review The Aztec Broadbeach - Broadbeach

Went here on a Saturday night in April 2022. We enjoyed overall with the service fast and friendly. A nice buzz in the restaurant as was quite busy. The drinks were great and the food pretty good. We've had better Mexican but still enjoyed. Location wise a good location in the main area of Broadbeach a street or two away from the main mall.

Do not buy this food! We got some nachos delivered. After one bite it went straight into the bin. Tasteless and definitely made from old ingredients. I couldn’t even be polite. My girlfriend ordered it for a mini date night. I told her it was the nastiest Mexican food I’ve ever seen since I ate at this hole in Coolangatta. Turns out, the place she’d ordered from was from their second store in Broadbeach XD. You have been warned!

Find any other mexican.... seriously. Plate came out sizzling hot but the shredded beef was ice cold from the fridge. The chicken filling looked like baby food and the tastes were as bland as the rice was hard. Provided the feedback and staff didn't care, by the time we got home tongue had swollen and the wife needed a antihistamine tablet, so do not know what they made the dip out of. Never again.

Wonderful customer service, we went with 2 toddlers and they were entertained by staff members, got an activity book and pens to colour in, even some play cars. Food came out quickly, great sangria and 2 for 1 deals! Yummy!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! These guys know their stuff! Only negative is the place isn’t bigger so we cannot fit more people in! Food is delicious, fresh and generous ! Drinks and staff on point, polite ! Be quick, this books quick and it’s easy to see why! 8 night stay and we’ve been 4 nights/lunch! Credit to the Aztec team, thanks

AMAZING food. Its sooooooo delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you order there. Dine in or take away, it's the same exceptional quality. My favourite person there is Bec. She is so welcoming and friendly. She always greets us with a smile and is so lovely over the phone. The Aztec, you are extremely lucky to have such a wonderful friendly and kind lady working for you. Well done !! She always makes us want to come back.

Great service food was great drinks were delicious nice and cold . All food was lovely and hot and of great quality portions were excellent. Highly recommended. Thank You to you ALL .HAYLEY,JOSH,SPIKE and all the boys in the kitchen A Lovely bunch of young people.

Man oh man, that hurt my soul, taste buds and my wallet. Paid $25 for takeaway nachos and 80% of it was just stale chips. Maybe if it was $10 I could justify the meal but $25... should of gone across the road for a $25 burger that I know would have been half the size but still tasted 1000 times better.

Guys whats going on !!! I used to love coming to your resturant and it pains me to even have to write a bad review but after our experience yesterday i feel the need to . Arrived at 11:20 and there were 4 other tables occupied , we had the waiter smash the bottle of water at our table and was so inclredibly flustered and im pretty sure he had the flu . One order came out from the kitchen in 1 hour ! And then received our food at 1.10pm minus our sons order because the waiter accidently wrote down the wrong order and had to wait for that to be remade . Ordered 2 guac and 2 sour cream that sat on the service counter for that entire hour and half we waited for our food and had to go up and get it ourselves cause the waiter was so flustered . The exception was the bartender that seriously knows his shit and was trying his hardest to keep everything afloat . Hope the next time we come ( if we do ) that a new strategy and enough staff especially kitchen staff are there to handle the load .

Took my daughter and a couple of her friends here for her 17th birthday last night and to say the Aztec restaurant in Broadbeach was disappointing is an understatement. The restaurant was very understaffed and the staff they did have had little to no personality. Overall the service was extremely slow, waited half an hour just to get our drinks and then the mocktails were terrible. The food was of extremely poor quality, the nachos were burnt, the enchilada was tiny and the rice was dry, crunchy and barely edible. As a single parent to be able to afford a night out is rare, but to also have 15 years experience working in the food service industry and to receive food and service so appalling (especially for my daughters birthday) was very upsetting. I would not recommend this restaurant under any circumstances.

Seriously the worse Mexican food I have had. The chips are not fresh but from a processed bag, the meats (ordered both carne & chicken) have zero flavor... actually the carne almost smell like dog food. It's almost insulting to call a place Aztec, decorated it in full traditional decor and have it taste this bad. Service was bad as well. We didn't get water to the table until 5 mins after all of our dishes are out. And their margaritas taste like crap as well. Two thumbs down.

Extremely disappointed with the service we recieved on Wednesday night. The Older man who was our waiter was incredibly rude from the very first point of contact showing a huge lack of professionalism from no uniform or name badge clearly showing that he doesn't want to be there and that was obvious from the way we were treated. 2 stars for actually getting the order correct. Food and service wasn't worth the money we paid.

Great meal, we had Margaritas and Nachos (one seafood and one lunch special). Great size and value. Delicious! Only recommendation to Aztec is adding Illusion Margartas to the menu �

Very bland and uniteresting. A fajitas with shredded chicken is certainly not what we expected. We had 6 meals between us and all were dry, almost unpalitable.

My favourite place for Mexican. Great food and drinks for a reasonable price served up by happy professional staff in a comfortable relaxed setting

The food is amazing and the service is just as good I am recommending Aztec to everyone ���yum

The food has never disappointed myself or my friends & I have been there several times as I love the food. Our table had a bucket of coronas (4) for $20 & delicious Sangria, its a relaxed atmosphere. The menu has $10 specials & we had a drink in our hand in the first 5-10minutes from walking in. That's been my experience each visit.

your reply to Cindy was absolutely appalling. Maybe someone had a bad night when writing back to her (that's what I hope anyways) because if that is how you treat customers you should be disgusted. Just saying �

One meal was great , the other on a plate far too hot and dried the rice and chicken out :( .

Underseasoned, overpriced food. Keep walking, there are lots if other restaurants doing much better in the area

Always have a great night here. My partner and myself dine here quit often as the food is amazing and can't go wrong with a bucket of coronas for $20. I would recommend for anyone looking for a Mexican feed.

The food is always great but yesterday it was exceptional. Thanks for another delicious meal. ps. I can only assume the negative reviews are from rivals as the service there has always been spot on.
