Review No Name Lane - Broadbeach

Tan T
Went for coffee and it was so good. My partner had ice Mocha and it was just good. Went back for brunch. Always seems to be busy but luckily didn’t had to wait and got a outdoor seating. Varieties of dishes in menu. We ordered some toast, egg & bacon burger and it was good. I had the smashed avocado with toast and to be honest the bread was a little hard that I ended up eating only half. Service was friendly and over all, was pretty good. I bet there’s more surprise so would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed the coffee blend. Bought a mushroom + potato hash with lamb sausage that tastes pretty great. Would come again :) Cafe was really busy but shows the locals love it. Staff still friendly + helpful.

Best coffee we have had in the area. Decent takeaway options with fast service. The toastie range is quality. Even better dine in options. Very generous portions and perfect poached eggs. Would recommend 👍

Found this gem of a cafe and absolutely had to try it (new to the area). The delicious menu made it very difficult to decide what to order because everything sounded so good. Felt spontaneous and ordered something I usually wouldn’t have and was super happy. The flavours were delicious the staff very attentive and provided quality service.

Best coffee and breakfast in Broadbeach 🎉 During our 9 day visit, this was our go to every morning for coffee, delicious toasties and breakfast. This place is always busy and the line for coffee goes down the alleyway. They certainly have Melburnian approved coffee ❤️😎
Jill Heptinstall
Just had an amazing breakfast. Awesome flavours, great service (Johnny) especially took care of us.. Very busy and popular. I now know why.
Jason B
I was told to come here for the best coffee and breakfast menu in the GC. I wasn't disappointed and planning to go again before I head home as it was too difficult to choose between the great options on the menu. A it more expensive than some other places for breakfast, but a fun splurge.

Been meaning to check this place out for awhile and so glad we did. WOW - the food was incredible. So tasty, generous serves and not the kind of flavours you find just anywhere on the GC. Honestly thought the prices were very fair for the quality and serving sizes. Staff were friendly and we were served right away. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu! Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Value for money: 💰💰💰💰💰/5 Customer service: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️/5 Atmosphere: 😍😍😍😍😍/5 Will visit again: ✅

I have always loved your coffee At No name!. But let me tell you!. your coffee Martini cocktail is to die for, The girls and the staff are always friendly... yes will be back and certainly can recommend you your venue, love it!

Amazing place, excellent staff and beautiful environment!!!! Totally recommend this place to go people

Without doubt the best coffee we have found on the Gold Coast. Have been to over 40 cafes and this has come out on top. Have been here most mornings over the past two months and consistency is the key. Not one bad coffee after literally dozens.

Dine in for the first time since Reno has done. Always been Take away but feel like sit down and have coffee so walked in. It was the horrible service ever had. Taking coffee order with sitting down was the best part of it today. Compare to number of staff working there the service wasn't quick or spot on. Only one staff who was wearing white t-shirt and Chanel runner is smiling but no one else. Took forever to order food. 5 staff in the take away section and 6 staff in the dine in section no one has eyes on customers (too many runners compare to section staff). Very disappointed. Service was better and faster before the Reno. Hoping for better service next visit.

The barista yesterday morning made an epic coffee and he was so friendly. Also had the coconut chia with granola so good.

Great service, great food and relaxed atmosphere. And fantastic cocktails. Highly recommend

It was our first time there. Service was really average. Couple staff brought out wrong meals/ drinks 4 different times. We got there 9:30am Sat and we didn’t order straight away, our meal took over 40 mins. My breakfast was really nice I enjoyed it, my husband’s was good too. However, his buns could have been warmed and we didn’t like the hash brown as it’s about 3cm thick. I guess we just used to a normal size hash brown.
Michele Aitch
Great service with friendly staff and an amazing range of delicious breakfast items. Excellent coffee!
Tania Burns-Morosini
Poor customer service and terrible coffee. My friend's coffee was so bad asked for a replacement. The second one was just as bad and she had to throw it away. If that's not bad enough the staff were rude and unapologetic!
Jen Swenson
The Hash brown eggs bene with Mushrooms and Asparagus was absolutely delightful! Your Hollandaise is amazing! I enjoy my coffee but usually only one a day - I had to have a second! I love the new fitout. The NNL team all look great in their NNL Tshirts and the service was in the top 3 I have experienced in my 27 years on the coast. I will be back and will bring extras!!!!
Theresa Eyre Vossen
Fantastic service on a wet grey Sunday I didn't mind the 15min Wait for my coffee as it was so delicious and the friendly bubbly staff informed me of this straight away. Great vibe & warmth inside. ☕️
Slick Rob
Nice coffee, simple effective place, short menu just enough, all good!
Sue Goss Bennett
Lovely attentive staff and prob the best coffee in the Gold Coast!
Immah Ima Saptu
Love the coffee and friendly staff. Went for breakfast with my partner the other day. Was great.
Veronika
Just a bit noisy because of the construction next door, so opt for indoor seating. Other than that, decent brunch place with great coffee!
Fiona Sammut
Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and great coffee

Went to no name lane last weekend for a recovery feed after the crafted beer festival the day before. We got the huevos rancheros special and the scrambled eggs. Huevos rancheros was packed full of flavour and had a kick of heat to keep you on your toes. The scrambled eggs add bacon was solid but I think the portion size for additional bacon could of been bigger.

The cold drip coffee was also a winner for me. Definitely worth checking this place out!
Carl The Truth
Coffee was quite good, but the egg and bacon sandwich was really average, square processed cheese! Plus the attitude of the staff stinks. If you don’t want to be there, go get a job somewhere else.

I called into No Name Lane for breakfast after being ignored at a quieter cafe nearby. What a great detour!

Service was much more organised and swift, despite the crowds. My piping hot potato hash cakes were delicious, topped with perfectly poached eggs, hollandaise, asparagus and mushrooms (the latter can be substituted for meat).

Was here two years ago and the coffee is as good as ever, although it more expensive than what I am used to paying in Melbourne. $5 for a medium takeaway with 2 shots of coffee. I pay it because I am on holidays but would be finding somewhere else if living on the coast.
Clo
The best brunch in Broadbeach! Such a good range of sweet and savoury, super fresh and yummy! Service is great as well. Always go there when down the coast

Went to No Name Lane for brunch this morning and absolutely loved everything about it!

Kept the breakfast very simple and got eggs on toast with mushrooms! The eggs were super well cooked, the bread was fresh and soft and the mushrooms were just delicious! The relish was a perfect addition to the dish, really made all the difference.

Also got an iced coffee- perfect too.

Special shoutout to the service- fabulous staff! I was at No Name Lane for about an hour and half eating and reading and there was nobody constantly wanting to kick me out.

Overall, I had a great experience; would recommend :)

Breakfast before theme park at No Name Lane was a good choice. They made nice coffee. Some dishes were big, some were small, but they’re all tasty. I had The Staple, Hubby had SweetCorn Fritters, others had they Grain Fed Rump and Fried Egg & Bacon Roll. Friendly service, cozy place. Recommended.

Arrived about 11am on Saturday for a bite to eat with my husband and son.
We are directed to a table which had just been vacated and sat down while the waitress cleared and wiped it down. After sitting for 5 minutes or so I waved to another waitress on her way past and asked if we could please grab a menu.
She spun around and said, “Did someone seat you here or did you just sit down??”
I felt like responding, “Good morning! We are great thanks for asking, how are you??”
I just let her know that we had in fact been seated.
She returned, slammed down the menus, and some water. I said “thank you” she says “that’s fine, do you want a drink?”
Honestly, we just walked out. We are not that easy ruffled, but the sun was shining, we were out to enjoy the day and I didn’t feel like spending money somewhere where they are behaving as though they are doing you a massive favour by having you there.
Unfortunately the idea of “customer service” seems to be completely lost on some. I would never dream of speaking to a customer so curtly.
Anyway, went next door to the Bavarian beer cafe, service by the waitresses there (who appeared to be travellers) was so friendly and great, so it didn’t dampen our day for long!
Melbcafegirl
Just want to mention that a specific Waitress looked like she didn’t want to be there, made my experience with a friend from Melbourne a little disappointing. Fake it till you make it.
Richieml
Great coffee and establishment. Takeaways for 4 melbourne coffee snobs (1 magic, 1 almond (milk lab milk only) 3/4 late, strong late and large soy late). Can’t forget the 2 babycino’s (1 froth only). All made to perfection. One raspberry danish was great. Will return.

Goes against the theory of “coffee shops under new apartment buildings are terrible.”

Came here for coffee after reading such good reviews online. Cute little cafe hiding in the lanes of Broadbeach. Really good seating options for the location. Pretty nice and accommodating staff. The coffee was a little weak and not as good as was expected but we’d be willing to try it again because it may have been a one off.
Angehaha
Didn’t stay for food or to dine in but the coffee was good and service was efficient.
The guy at the counter was friendly too.

Looking at the menu, the bar food is quite pricey. But I think there are some other breakfast items at more reasonable prices.

10/10! This is the best place to eat in Broadbeach! The coffees not only looked beautiful but were strong, smooth and flavoursome. The breakfast menu is absolutely delicious. I would eat here everyday if I could. Located near Pacific Fair, boutiques and the beach, the location in general is so convenient. The customer service is also wonderful.
Karl
Visited here for breakfast.

My partner sat down at the only free table and i went and lined up at the service area.

No menus around so once i got the front i asked for one and went and sat back down at the table. Upon choosing what we felt like i went and lined up to order, then got told it's table service if you're eating at the place (hmm ok).

Sat back down and one of the senior employees rushed to our table to get our order through.

Ordered potato hash with salmon and the marscapone/berry hot cakes. Also got coffees which were sensational and better than a lot of the coffee i've had in Melbourne.

The potato hash with salmon was excellent only draw back was that the potato hash was a bit too oily.

The hot cakes have potential to be excellent but were only good. Was lacking a good ratio of marscapone and could have done with a little more walnut.

Overall good food, i'm sure if i visited this place again or often that there would be times where the food and service is exceptional.
FoodieGuru_770
On the scale of good coffee to bad coffee this was a 10/10. The coffee was no bitter didn’t taste burnt and I would definitely come back. It is a good choice for busy Broadbeach
Lifelovetravelfood
A very popular little café, even mid-week, this place does great coffee and quickly! I love my almond milk flat whites and these guys do a great one. Cool interior, lots of seating, friendly staff and great coffee. Great place.
Neat Eats
After living in Melbourne and Wellington I am a little particular about coffee, but my long black was just as I like it, hot and strong. Other half had an iced choc, 3yo had iced strawberry. Not sure on flavour (they're not fussy) but seemed so wasteful serving them in plastic takeaway cups when we were having in. No wonder there are so many overflowing rubbish bins around Broadbeach. Nice sunny spot at midday but bit of an uncomfortable vibe, can't put my finger on it. But the coffee was good so if that's what you're after, go for it.
Hali
Tried the coffee (of course) and it was excellent. 😊☕️ 4.5 stars just for the coffee. Enjoyed the vibe of the place too, had a good atmosphere

Stopped by this bustling cafe whilst on holiday. The cafe was the place to be it seemed. Upon ordering I was not greeted with a friendly hello or even a smile. I get it, the cafe was busy, however service with a smile goes a long way. (If you cannot manage that change jobs to a non-customer facing role). Upon ordering the muesli I was told that they don't have the muesli today, why have it on the regular menu? Anyway, ordered some food, and it was quite nice, I had the banana bread and my partner has the eggs on toast, it is a tiny kitchen so I will give credit to that. The food wasn't outstanding, it did was it was meant to do and tasted ok. As for the coffee, we had flat whites which looked promising however they were milky and lacked flavour and body.
So disappointed as this cafe looked so promising.

Unfortunately a couple of rude wait staff have made my experience here quite sour. We had ordered a toastie and after half an hour our food was still not out so I thought I would 'check up' on how our food was going. The wait staff quite rudely said that when we ordered we should have been told that food will be a "20-25 minute wait". Unfortunately we 100% did not get told this upon ordering (and in all honesty would have NOT minded at all if we really were told this). To follow up, the second wait staff handing out the food also quite rudely re-iterated that we should have known it would be a "20 minute wait". Staff do not seem to be able to cope with pressure well nor consistent with what they tell customers. On a positive note the chorizo toastie was nice as well as the coffee - good job there. But management please oh please if you read this, please have a chat to your wait staff. I've noticed a few negative reviews due to bad customer service. I'd really like to come back but the service has put me off and I will not be recommending this place to colleagues as such.

Had to wait almost an hour: 45 minutes to get my meal and to top it off it was a meagre portion.
Way overpriced as well. The tiny drink pictured is $8.50
To give you an idea of how long it took to serve us; some friends of mine decided to try another place across the road after I ordered my meal . I went to see them and they had finished eating and I still hadn't been served!
In summary:
Service took way too long
& overpriced for what it is
Only upside I can say for this place is the friendly and attractive waitresses however that does not make up for having to get a second breakfast elsewhere if you're still hungry.
Littlemisspiggyeats
Loved the coffee. Nice tasting beans and no burnt shitty double tapped pour. Lots of people having their brunch and coffees and it was the place to be on public holiday Thursday.
Jesse M
Great food, although smaller portions than I had expected. Coffee was pretty disappointing, and charging for a baby chino was a bit rich, especially when you have to ask for marshmallows. If my son could rate, the score would be lower.
Stretts
THE place in Broadbeach to get coffee. The wait can be long at peak times but it is worth it. Sitting in the laneway it almost feels like Melbourne if it wasn't for the shorts, bathers and sun around...
Keira
NEVER GO THERE. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. Go to Brunch and Co instead. I have had bad service there before but gave them a few chances due to the location. However today My mother asked if she could get a coffee quickly as she was going to the hospital having been up all night in the emergency room with a very frightening health scare in our family. They took her money, told her she'd have a fair while to wait, she said she had already explained that she couldn't wait and they didn't give her the coffee and wouldn't give back her money.

Literally the best coffee I've ever tasted in Australia. Wish I could have their coffee here in WA!!
Their fruit toast & banana bread were really good too. So happy I tried this little gem.
Wendy Smith
Coffee is fast and delicious. Atmosphere is a bit awkward. Uncover table sitting spaces. No places to sit and relax. I always take my coffee and head to the beach. Very stiff chairs. But the food, coffee and staff make up for it!
Secret Squirrel
Great coffee. Average staff. Feels like your a robot when ordering, little interaction and very rough with handling items. Human interaction is an area to work on.
Bee
This place needs management to relook at the staff!!

I went there this morning to grab coffee and a toasted sandwich which took me 40mins+, in the end I ended up cancelling the food order and leaving with coffees.

I watched the guy making toast, put it into the toaster over 3 times for it to get colour whilst the cashier and waitress sat around. Pitch in and help a colleague out when he is incompetent to do his job!!

I would only recommend you to get coffee at this place and forget the rest.
Ray
Simple but spot on. Great coffee and friendly service. I would definitely recommend it. We had breakfast here and we would definitely come back!
La Petite Bobo
Looking for a great coffee in Broadbeach? No name lane is definitely the place - serving quality coffee in a cute little lane away from everything else. Didn't try the food but the menu looked great!
Hungry Gal
Went for breakfast the other day. Experienced very rude service. Coffee was nice but doesn't give any establishment the right to treat people like its a privilege to attend your cafe. Food was very ordinary.
Grace Zhang
Coffee here is great! It is a vibrant place with lots of place to sit in, i like the pillows here. And it is cool with fan over your head delivering you some wind. I love the corner seat btw🙃.
Jess Gatt
Cannot speak for the food, but got wonderful coffees there this morning. No quick takeaway gluten free option which is why I didn't sample the food. Simple menu.

No Food Lane. Do you have bacon? No
Do you have scrambled eggs? No
Do you have milkshakes? No
Martin C
Another 'common concept' cafe with 'quality' coffee and a short 'prepare behind the counter' menu. I have no issue with a limited menu and after all breakfast shouldn't be complicated but when the side of spinach with my poached eggs is a bunch of unwilted leaves we may be being taken for granted a little. Over cooked poached eggs and a terrible tomato relish made for an underwhelming time of it all.
Tbus
Not sure what the previous two reviewers thought of this place, they must be mad, this place rocks, from Melbourneite that likes coffee; Deadset ripper get around it
JaH
Don't get too excited about the rave reviews. The Coffee was overpriced and ordinary. Save your $5+ and get a better cup elsewhere. Not to mention the two flat whites ordered came with over an inch froth...
Brisbane Devoured
the little menu looks to be full of basic breakfasts like banana bread – accompanied by house made espresso butter (!), muesli and avocado toast. There are also a bunch of fancy sandwiches and toasties featuring quality ingredients such as Bangalow ham, truffled egg and horseradish cream.
Vemite
$5 for a skinny cap served with attitude and screaming girls in a confined space

Service check people!??

Good coffee

Too busy for pour over. Coming from Melbourne we were pretty excited to find a specialty brew cafe. Unfortunately when we tried to order a V60 pour over, we were told they couldn't make it just in case it got busy (only the one barista). Perhaps a footnote on the menu to mention only available at the cafe's convenience. They'd also run out of cold brew too. On a brighter note espresso was respectable.
Natalie
My partner and myself .Went here this morning for breakfast wow busy busy but did not affect the food or service in any way. I had the truffled egg sandwich holy yum! Would defiantly go out of the way to stop in again . have to mention also the coffee was smooth and strong couldn't fault it. staff were very friendly and although orders were flooding in they handled it wonderfully. You will see us again

The best coffee 'hands down' on the GC.... Maybe the world!. Stayed at Peppers for one week in September. Stumbled across this little gem and the rest is history. I am a huge coffee fanatic and I couldn't have asked for a better hit. I will be back and so will you when you try it for yourself!
Beez
Wow - Awesome coffee. Just below the Peppers Broadbeach hotel there is a tiny very un-assuming cafe that makes amazing coffee and food (mostly breakfast). Gotta try the banana bread and the Ham Toastie. Amazing!
Radioboy2002
Best coffee on the Gold Coast. Found this place on my last day in Broadbeach and wish I'd found it on day one. Great service, friendly staff, the barista had been called in on his day off but was still smiling and up for a chat. Coffee was awesome (but they need to have a bigger cup choice for dine in) the muesli with yoghurt was very tasty. Keep up the great work and I'll be there next time I'm up that way.
Bruce McFarlane
Best coffee on the GC. Period!
Laurelhuang
Very strong coffee. I visited this place after reading all the good reviews..I would've much preferred lactose free milk (not available) over soy milk cap. I had a sip of their iced coffee as well and it is a must try for lovers of strong coffee!
Lady Melbourne
Always love visiting No Name Lane. Coffee snobs from Melbourne want good coffee when they travel, but it's not always easy to find. I always go to No Name Lane when I'm on the Goldy and I always get a great coffee and food that could rival any Melbourne lane way for their barista skills.

On my last visit I accidentally spilled my coffee and they made me another, insisting it was free of charge and we enjoyed freshly made sandwiches with produce from surrounding areas, like Bangalow shaved ham and truffled eggs.

I'll be back on my next visit!
Fish
It's a goodie. Packed away in a little pocket of Broadbeach, No Name Lane does a great job. The fitout is cool with exposed brick walls and casual seating inside, while there are larger tables outside. The setup is small but the push out a great range of options. Eggs, toast, juices, muffins, pastries and of course coffee. The coffee was smooth and good enough to keep the regulars coming back for more. Friendly staff and a relaxed vibe make this spot the perfect place to start your morning.
Janec
Sensational coffee. Loved the coffee and I am very fussy about coffee. Breakfast was really tasty, the multigrain sourdough was great. Staff friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend.
Ingramcj
Best coffee on the coast. I am a severe coffee snob and I have to say that these guys do the best coffee. We also had breakfast - macadamia muesli and sourdough with fresh tomato and advocado, squeeze of lemon and drizzle of olive oil - topped off with pinch of pink salt flakes!! Super yummy.

The service is great , friendly and efficient - the only downside in the month of June is that the outside seating can be a little cool as the wind blows like a wind tunnel. Inside seating is great but not well set up so people spread out and it's only limited to a couple of tables. I am sure for the rest of the time the outdoor seating is fine - after all the Gold Coast has eternal sunshine!!!!!
Lorraine Tobin
Excellent coffee. Just the right temperature and smooth flavour. Made with care.
Susan Butler
Mixed review!. My friend and I each had a cappuccino and a bite to eat here today. First, the positives:
The coffee was good (though it could have been a little hotter) with nice crema and there's outdoor seating. (Not a lot of it and there aren't many seats inside, but it appeared patrons are able to sit outside the cafe on the other side of the walkway.)

I had the avocado and Roma tomatoes on toasted sourdough. This consisted of two pieces of sliced loaf, some slices of avocado, slices of tomato, a little pot of EVOO and a small pot of sea salt and cracked black pepper. While very simple, everything was really tasty.

The negatives: The girl who took our order wasn't friendly and didn't crack a smile, not even saying thank you when I paid. She said there was at least a 15 minute wait for food. This wasn't because there were a lot of customers, but because there seemed only to be one small hotplate to cook on so there would be a considerable wait if the place was busy. The guy who bought our coffees and the girl who bought the food out were a little more pleasant.

My friend's carrot muffin had a nice topping and while it was moist underneath this, the rest of the muffin was rather dry.

Our plates and cutlery looked smudgy, which I found off-putting.

We'd actually gone there today to check it out as we're having lunch in Broadbeach with other friends tomorrow. We'll be trying somewhere else, not because it was bad, but there were enough negatives that we won't be tempted to go back in a hurry.

Creama is purrfect! I was surprised our delicious this coffee was. I usually have to ask for a 3/4 fill of milk but they assured me I didn't need to because the coffee was strong! I took their advice .. I was so happy to find such a well made coffee I was back at 8 am for my next coffee the very next day! Thanks guys for making such a yummy coffee!
Mil
Great new cafe. A nice change from the touristy cafes of the main strip in broadbeach. hidden behind bavarian beer cafe is this little gem. Muesli was delicious and avocado on toast simple but good, with great olive oil. staff were lovely, warning us of a wait of 10mins, which was tiny compared to the crowd surrounding the place. good coffee. nice atmosphere. best in the area, though sad there was no sun in the morning.
Patiecack
Melbourne coffe-snobs stop here. If your half or more the Melbourne coffee snob that I am you will come here and nowhere else during your trip to broadbeach.
Jim
Review of No Name Lane. Went to No Name Lane for coffee first day of my stay at Broardbeach ended up there 10 days running for a great coffee!!! I rated it 10/10
FamilyofFour
Good smooth coffee. No Name Lane appeared in the Top 10 Gold Coast coffee list in The Bulletin so we knew we had to pay it a visit. Grabbed two takeaway cappuccinos on the way to the playground. They were smooth and delicious. No need for sugar. I don't think it was as nice as the coffee from Elk but definitely worthy of a return visit where we can sit down and indulge next time.
Evans
If you need a great coffee this is the place to go.
Eric Rin
Hidden Gem!. The coffee is easily the best I have had, the staff are great. And the cold/distilled(I can't recall the actual name) was really amazing. Definitely try this, but they can only make a limited amount each day. I also like that the location is tucked away. The queue is long enough without everyone getting easy instructions to this place! Stay Hidden please!
Stls1000
Great coffee!. Enjoyed the great coffees while on holidays from interstate. Friendly service and cool atmosphere. Little hard to find though, maybe message board in nearby square?
Peter Munivrana
GREAT COFFEE!! Smooth and just the right temperature. The place is hidden away (not as per the location on the Urbanapoon location), basically opposite the Bavarian restaurant. Staff are really friendly
Weswoo
Latte was really smooth. Just right not to airy or watered down and the expresso shot 'just right'. Had Banana bread slice. Cool atmosphere but for a long seated convo probably not the best.
Les
Good food and coffee. Staff are friendly. This is a great little place and well worth a visit.
MLA
It's hard to get a decent coffee anywhere in broadbeach but this place is good!
Live2Eat
Great coffee. Small place, with a small selection of pretty good food.
Boags
Awesome tasting coffee. I had the flat white, very nice, great presentation and decent prices. Yuppie lovers.
Bianca
I'm always on the search for good coffee when I'm traveling and this one hits the spot! Very smooth
Andrew Bauer
Delicious coffee! Smooth and full flavoured.

Terrible coffee

Coming from Melbourne for short holidays each time, we know that we have to make do with bad Gold Coast coffee... Until we discovered this little place... Great quality, great service.. No more bad coffee while in Gold Coast!!!
Foodishappiness
Cold service, Cold coffee.. Was so keen to try this little place after reading all the positive reviews whilst on a weekend away but was very let down. After a slightly cold reception when entering the cafe I was a little put off, the girl at the counter seemed disinterested and was not in the mood for manners; it was far from the attentive service I had expected from reading other reviews. However we still ordered a coffee and a chai latte to take away. After an anticipated first sip I was very disappointed as my latte was very cold and had barely any flavour and my partner agreed his was cold and also not of great flavour... overall not a brilliant experience and we won't be back.
DianaW
Diana. Enjoyed my flat white here, left a lingering flavour on the pallete for the rest of the afternoon. What a cute little spot loved it!
EMDM
BEST. Great place, small lunch menu but high quality and loved it. Coffee is fantastic. Staff are friendly and the ambiance is enjoyable.
Estelephant
They do a few things food wise, but do them really well. Excellent coffee.
Cg08
Very Positive About This Place. I had 10+ coffees over 4 days. The quality was high and consistent. These guys take their coffee seriously, and the way they deliver their beverages is 100% correct. One of the better places outside of Melbourne....without a doubt.
Brian
Great coffee. Holidaying in Broadbeach from Melbourne we were recommended to try a coffee at No Name Lane First morning we went there and loved the coffee the staff and the ambience I like a strong flat white and my partner a latte and both were just right It is not always good to order a strong coffee as it can be bitter Our barista man checked each time my coffee was right Needless to say we were there two to three times a day Well recommended
Cp
I know being from Melbourne probably makes me a coffee snob, but unfortunately I can't deliver a positive review here - I tried it 3 days in a row and despite asking for it extra strong and hot, it seemingly arrived both luke warm and tasted like flavored milk....not so good. Sorry!
Johnny Mourihno
Great Coffee!. First visit to No Name Lane and it certainly was not a disappointment. All 3 coffees were perfect, certainly one of the best coffees I have had on the GC. I had the roast beef Turkish and that was excellent, yes only a sandwich, but presented beautifully, wrapped in twine and tasted fantastic!!
With so many rubbish coffee shops on the GC, it is great to see guys like No Name Lane are trying to change things.
Kewlaurel
Best coffee I've had. I walked past this cafe in the afternoon and thought that it looked stylish and that it could potentially have good coffee. I didn't think much of it because there was not 1 customer and there were 3 staff who were standing around doing nothing (this was at about 2:30pm). However after lunch elsewhere, I found myself thinking about the cafe and the potentially good coffee it might have! I decided to go back to the cafe and ordered a skinny flat white to takeaway ($3.50 for regular size and $4.50 for large size). I was expecting that it would cost a bit more seeing it was in the trendy Oracle place. After I took my first sip of my SFW, I knew that it was heavenly! It was the perfect temperature, super creamy even though it was skim milk and strong enough without any bitterness at all! It's the best coffee I've ever had, but I must admit I haven't tried all the coffees in SEQ. Next time I travel south to the Gold Coast I'll make sure I make a detour to this amazing little coffee place again to get my caffeine hit!

Easily the best coffee on the goldcoast, and even Brisbane for that matter. Has a real Melbourne feel to the cafe and the quality of the coffee was that of Melbourne cafes. 10/10
Coffee Tour
Best coffee on the Coast. No where on the Gold Coast makes consistently good coffee like No Name Lane. It's deliciously strong coffee without any bitterness, that needs no sugar (or milk for that matter). It is my favourite cafe.
High Standards
Fantastic coffee and great staff the coffee is created and served just the way it should be. Good atmosphere although seating is very limited, unfortunately the restaurant next door has taken all the available spots for extra seats. A fantastic little hide away to just chill out.

Cripes, HELP, not going back. 20 minute wait for 4 coffees
long black was bitter
flat white excessively strong (we like strong coffee but this was ridiculous)
and the cold drip, we love a cold drip... AWFUL

my tip, give this one a skip

I'm from melb and it's very hard to find good coffee on the gold coast !! Well at last a real coffee . Great taste perfectly made. Now I has found my spot I will be Back all holidays. Oh btw very friendly attentive staff. Something else thts hard to find. I'm sure this place will take off as the plaza developes and the no name becomes the big name ..

Top quality coffee. Dare I say - a Melbourne quality coffee house. They take their coffee seriously - a Tanzanian influenced blend for the black coffee drinkers and another bean for milk based coffee. Also serve a limited range of sandwiches, banana bread, toast etc. Best coffee on the Coast.

Definitely pop by if you want some good coffee!!!

Though coffee is the featured menu item, chef Robert Quarrie provides a complementary small but top quality range of food available for breakfast and lunch.

When away from home one of the first things I seek out is a good place for coffee. I may miss every other thing that goes with the convenience of being at home, and knowing your way around, but if I can just track down a smooth blend of perfectly roasted beans turned into a latte by a barista that loves his coffee as much (or more) than I do, then I know that no matter how far from home I am, life will be ok.

No Name Lane is a new coffee joint in a ‘lane way’ that serves a decent coffee in Broadbeach – which is a wasteland of horribleness otherwise.

Living a stones throw away from this trendy little lane cafe in Broadbeach means I have visited them many many times already but just never got round to blogging about them. So finally, I am writing a post about them today before Christmas so hopefully you will pop in over the Christmas break. I absolutely love their decaf mochas...no extra sugar needed (always a good sign), no burnt taste...just creamy chocolatey goodness in a cup and a perfect drinkable temperature. And it even got the approval from my friend (a true coffee addict) yesterday who had a normal caffeine filled mocha and loved it. We also decided to try their biscotti yesterday and oh my gosh...these babies were so moist and came served with blueberries, natural yoghurt and chocolate sprinkles. I tell you, a plain ol biscuit flung on the side of your saucer won't do for these folks. Not only are the staff lovely and super friendly but the cosy atmosphere of the place means you can easily while away the hours here. Posted

Because we stayed near No Name Lane, I must have walked past close to 10 times. It was always busy and I can see why, with its high quality coffee and simple but satisfying food options. Despite the high volume of customers, service was friendly and reasonably speedy.

The space isn’t very big with only a dozen of spots inside and wooden stools outside, which means that snagging a table during the peak period can be difficult.
Eating Brisbane
It is just a simple place for good coffee and a bit of food at the side.
