Review Hero Sushi - Broadbeach

Alana Lindsay
My son and I purchased sushi from here yesterday and at the time is tasted like the rice was old and uncooked. I stopped eating it after half a roll. But my son and I have been violently ill all afternoon and night. DO NOT Purchase sushi here. It is a health risk. I will be reporting this shop to Good Health.

The food Hero Sushi is always fresh and delicious. The servings are plentiful with lots of variety travelling around on that little train. You do not have to wait long before something you like travels around. The prices are quite reasonable and this popular restaurant is always reasonably full which means the food turns over very quickly and is always fresh. Highly recommended.

They leave sushi out in the open. Not safe. Would only buy sushi in the morning and avoid anything raw.

Lots of selection here at Hero Sushi and nice and fresh. Kids enjoyed the packs of teeny sushi rolls - we tried the Avocado ones. Convenient location outside Coles and Woolworths in Pacific Fair. The staff were friendly and helpful when I asked what they recommended as we had not been here before. We will definitely be back :)

I had teriyaki salmon don, and my mum had the fried prawns one. Minus one star was from the prawns dish. My mum said it was to salty. Back to my salmon dish: i love it (if you are not a big fan of seasoned sauce, you may ask for less sauce or you would find it a little bit too salty) It is value for money - $8.90 for 3 pieces of salmon. Worth it! Well they are not that super big bowl, but you get what you paid for - and with this tiny amount of money & salmon! Im pretty sure it is value of money. If you are a big eater, then order something else too.

This place used to be owned by lovely people and the food was on the pricey side worth it. Now all of the roles are $3.80 minimum and are terrible. Today I gave it one last chance. My roll (as usual) was barely half full of a thin line of ingredients and it cost $15.20 (for 4). Not filling, not fresh, overpriced. I’ve asked for soy sauce multiple times and 8-10 fish of soy sauce have been tossed at me or shoved into my hand (they weren’t even busy) for 1 or 2 rolls. God forbid you ask for a bag. They have gotten rid of cheaper options with their multi pack boxes and they’re now $10 and mostly sauce. Just a shame really. Chose somewhere else to eat is my advice. I used to come here very often, now never again. Note: most good reviews for this location are for another restaurant of the same name (photos aren’t accurate and Hero Sushi Pacific Fair isn’t 6years old).

Rice over cooked soft like rice soup. Very disappointed because I be customer here for long time!

I didn’t get to try the food as they were out of stock. Shame. But it’s holidays so can’t blame them. Although after reading the reviews might have been a good thing!

I seriously think this is perfect for those on the go. It’s the perfect fill me up snack that’s tasty and okay on the wallet. I was pretty surprised at the offers here, and the serving size too. I would recommend this as more of a snack rather than for lunch or dinner. It might not be as filling but if you do buy more than just a piece, then it may just be more than a snack.

Thought It was very affordable but the quality of the food was not that great. I’ve had better Japanese food for around the same price elsewhere.

Not a bad place if you want to grab some sushi on the go. The rolls have minimal meat compared to other places so the value is not there. All in all it's not too bad.
