Amazing food. Turkish done right. Visited here few days back, there was no queue and the vibe was really chill and nice. Friendly staff. I would definitely love to come back here.
This is not a bad little restaurant given it’s located inside a shopping centre. I chose the Iskender which is my go to with this type of cuisine but a lot of the rest of the table opted for the wood fired pizzas with various different toppings. Everything (including the yummy bread and dips) was delicious. Authentic food, reasonable prices and generous portions. Not a lot to fault really. This is on the complete opposite side of town for me but if it were closer I’d certainly be back for some more good honest food

All in all a good experience with eating here. Meat was moist and breat was perfectly soft but crunchy whilst the dips were full of flavour. This place was a bargain at a little over $10 a head. Only downside was the only availible meat was chicken.
The food is really good but the previous reviewers were right, the service is slow. It's almost as though they're giving each order the time and attention they would if they made you dinner in their home.
Now that I know this, I'll just adjust my expectations and turn up late for pick up or early to avoid starving while I'm waiting (the estimated wait of 15 minutes turned into 30).
For dinner we had a crispy and so very yummy Lahmacun pide. Everywhere else undercooks it, Anatolia cooked it perfectly.
We also ordered a dip we don't see elsewhere (can't remember the name but you'll know it if you see it on the list). It was spicy and fresh and warming. Their bread wasn't as yeasty as other places, which was good for my stomach. And we had a salad, strangely they ran out of ingredients for tabouleh.
I'm sure we are going to become regulars. Thanks to the clever chefs
Driving through a culturally diverse community like Broadmeadows
I suddenly fancy a protein hit of meat!!! Turkish it is!
the vastness of the Ottoman Empire, which spanned three continents for almost 600 years, meant tasting layers of history in everything you eat, with this I would say the turks are zen masters of the barbecues, I stumbled upon Anatolian turkish grill, I decided to just opt for the famous mixed grill
mix grill scattered around that mound of rice ,was so deep with meats juicy chunks of chicken breast, lamb chops, doner kebab, tender cubes of beef, a disc of kofte and big green chilies were also grilled and provided a lovely heat, they were all grilled to a mouth-watering savoury flavour, and the consistency was not too chewy either, like grilled meats may often be
for desert I went for what Turkey is famous for sütlaç' this baked rice pudding is the cream of the crop and holds a very special place in turkish cuisine.
Anatolians dishes were sumptuous and certainly tickled my tastebuds.
Another love at first visit that I stumbled upon
"...I'M GONNA PENCIL THIS PLACE IN AS ONE OF MY FUTURE FAVES..."
We're still out in the North-West.. Yes, still staying with friends...
Tonight we decide to get to Hoyts - Broadmeadows to see "The Revenant" - OMG what a movie...!!! 10/10 - An absolute must see...!!!
[Warning: Not for the 'faint-hearted'..]
Anyway, we get our times mixed up - we're 45 mins early..
"Hey guys, how about we eat something a little more substantial, before going in, rather than having all that rubbish at the kiosk...?"
Boys weren't happy, but hey - who's got the 'moola'..? LOL.. Yeah, that's right.. Mum's got the moola..!
I chose the ANATOLIAN CAFE RESTAURANT.. not so hard to do,, it's inside, right next door to the cinema..
In we go.. get seated in one of the front booths.. nice and comfy.. get given a menu each.. drink order taken,, food order taken.. All sweet..
#Food to share:
1 Cheese, Egg and Sausage Turkish Pizza - I'd never had this before - Hey, I've found a serious new fave... nearly ordered another.. just for me..
1 plate Assorted Dips - Home-made.. Fresh.. Generous - Delicious..!
2 baskets Turkish Bread - Lightly Toasted - Warm.. Soft.. Nice Crust..
2 serves Turkish Style Fried Ice-cream - This was just amazing..! Loved that Toasted Coconut.. And enough for the 4 of us..
#Drinks:
2 Orange Soda Ice-cream Spiders - Mine both hid a bit of a smile after these arrived..
1 Orange Mineral Water
1 Lemon Mineral water
#Venue:
-Clean
-Fairly large
-Huge village style brick oven on premises
-Big quasi open kitchen
-Turkish people doing the cooking
-Contemporary Turkish music playing in the background
#Service:
-Timely
-Polite
-Helpful
#Cost:
$69 - Not bad.. Okay.. It is a restaurant, not a bakery, and I'd say their rent would be none too cheap..!
So then, can't wait to get back to eat their 'Lamb' and 'Kofta' dishes and to tuck into more of their delish Turkish desserts - Saw a couple eating something really special - Looked like a big slab of fried thick firm-set white custard... Gotta try some o' that...!!!
Visited on Monday 18 Jan 2016 for a light meal before a movie.
Wonderful experience. Staff were friendly, had a water bottle placed on my table for free, ordering time was alright and the food was perfect. I would visit again and recommend this place to others.
Love Anatolian! I travel about an hour every few weeks with my partner to eat there foods. I'm of Turkish background and besides my mothers cooking, this is second best easy. You must try there Iskender kebab and range of pides. Yummy! =)
Consistently good!. Sometimes when I don't want a takeaway kebab, I come here & get a plate of mixed chicken & lamb with salad & rice/turkish bread with 2 dips (eggplant and capsicum) always filling & satisfying AND I never leave without a serve of panfried icecream! My family usually take overseas relatives here to try something they've never tried before & they love it, the price is always very cheap, only downside is that its in Broady shopping centre.
OMG!! get the Cigara Boregi....heaven!!
Been eating here for years now! Love it love it love it! Must try :) have to have the fried ice cream dessert yum!
Tasty turkish pizzas and traditional rum cuisine!!!
Pefect service, amazing food!. We come here regularly for dinner or lunch, service is amazing, food is always fresh, great environment and friendly staff. You cant go wrong. Plus this sizing of main dishes are massive compared to what is given at some other turkish resturants.
Not your everyday kebab joint. The menu is huge and has some great authentic Turkish dishes. Big portions and prices are good. Try the Ali Nazi dish & Efes beer
