Review Bronte Belo - Bronte

Luca Vingiani
The awesome weather contributed to have an awesome time at Bronte Belo. Slightly upset as at 12:05 didn’t have a chance to still get the breakfast menu (cut off at 12 n the dot…apparently) oh well next time I’ll be on time. However this wasn’t the reason for the 4 stars. The reason lies in the fact that you literally have to walk thru the kitchen in order to use the toilets. Immaculate and pristine, don’t get me wrong but yet one can leave the toilets and touch cutlery, plates and stuff…. Food: the cheapest item on the menu “lime, coriander and chilli chicken wings” was actually the most delicious one. Nachos, full of meats and a huge blob of sour cream, big enough that my son left some. The fish and chips was good. Most probably frozen but still good even though I couldn’t necessarily pinpoint the type of fish and no mention on the menu…and the small salad accompanying the fish was fresh, crunchy and refreshing. Overall a 3 stars, which is extremely positive. I felt to add one more star as the simple lemonade came in a tall glass, full of ice with lots of lemon slices few leaves of mint and enough sugar to make it a pleasure to the eye and refreshing on a such hot day. Even the simplest thing was extremely well prepared, statement to their love for customer experience.

Spontaneous find on my journey from Melbourne to Sydney. Unique South American experience in an amazing location and view by the ocean. If I lived in Bronte, I'd be a regular. Thanks to the staff for their friendliness and recommendations (Moqueca).

Seriously good food. We dropped in on a quiet Saturday night and got a cosy outdoor seat under a heater. We were initially impressed but perhaps slightly sceptical of the variety on the menu, but everything (from meat platter to pizza) was amazing! Very fresh meats and perfectly cooked. Will be back.

I’ve been so many time at Bronte Belo and I’m always giving another chance for the restaurant because after a beach day of you want a Brazilian food in the eastern suburbs you only have two options. Bronte Belo and Café Brazil. Cafe Brazil the food quality is average but the price is too. Bronte Belo you pay more so you expect more and it’s def not happening. The rice seems like a steamed rice, all grains together and it has no seasoning at all. Same as beans, you can’t feel any tasty on it, terrible. The Prato feito should come with Farofa, that’s how we eat that in Brazil, you shouldn’t be asking as extra, it’s just about money, cause I bet almost everyone will order it. The vinagrete quantity is a shame, it’s less than a soup spoon. The good thing of the place is the environment and the staff. The food quality vs the price is not worth at all. I’m Brazilian and I’m a big supporter of Brazilian business, but we have to be honest and Bronte Belo should’ve been more respectful with the Brazilian community when we’re talking about food.

We ordered bbq mix plate and it was really tasty! Friendly service and located just in front of the beach makes even better 🥰 Highly recommended x

The best feijoada in Sydney!

Best café in Bronte beach. Love the Brazilian food selection. The staff is great!

Service was great.
Food was way to average for the price, the portions were also extremely small. Paying $23 for fish and chips and $17 for salt and pepper squid both weren’t filling, the chips weren’t crispy and wasn’t well salted. The squid was quite tasty though. Wouldn’t come back to try anything else.

Came here for brekkie, has such a cool vibe, really friendly staff and amazing food. I ordered the chefs special which had salmon, avocado and poached eggs on toast. Was rather big and had touch time finishing. The staff were really helpful when we had variations on it. Instead of the salmon someone got bacon and another had tomato instead. Love the art on the walls. Would love to come back

The food quality and novelty really stands out from the other basic cafes along here. The feijoada was particularly good, with tasty unusual orange chorizo and very tender beef and pork. Rice, kale and salsa makes it a pretty large meal, although it costs $30 - but the sub-$20 Brazilian meals are also very large and the share plates could work well. Staff are great although were a bit slow due to understaffing. Views to the beach from the outside tables. Very popular with Brazilians during the lunchtime that I was there. All round a good restaurant.

Popped in for a quick lunch, ordered the Burrito bowl. Loved it, absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend this place, great service, fun atmosphere & great views.

When the seafood pasta arrived I started with the fish. It was tough and tasted old. Then I ate one of the mussels and it was still cold inside, not microwaved enough after being defrosted. I had to leave. I paid because I'm not the sort of person to make a fuss. I found a good chicken salad just a little down the road.

I love this place, all the restaurants and cafes along this street are always so amazing I take 10 minutes just to decide where I go.
Great service, impeccable good, good beach atmosphere outside. Definitely drop in when heading into bronte because you won't be disappointed

Awesome food, good price and customer service. Strongly recommend for all of those who are keen on trying good Brazilian food and are not looking for just BBQ.

Came here on a groupon voucher, and i got to say that the quality of the food was exceptional, despite what can be associated with voucher redemption. Grabbed the truffle oil poached egg and hash brown egg stack. Accompanied with hot chocolate and english breakfast tea.

Popped into this place after doing Bondi to Bronte walk, with my family . The whole place looks very bad , dirty couch , smelly cushion. Disgusting ! Services slow and food very bad . avoid at all cost !

Bronte Belo is the best cafe on the Bronte Beach strip! I've tried and tested them all, and the quality, price and service give them the #1 spot in my opinion. As a vego, I would eat 80% of the menu options. I love trying new places as often as possible, but this place is going to become a regular favourite. SO HAPPY!

I had the feijoada and it was delicious. My partner had the quesadilla con carne, and it was also amazing but the feijoada is the star. We also got the sticky chai which was nice. One of the owners was our server and it was so lovely to see how enthusiastic he was about the food. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Bronte!

Steak sandwich was dryer than a sandal left out in the sun. Chips were less than impressive - avoid.

Best Feijoada that I’ve had in Australia, and dare I say it’s better than quite a few I tasted in Brasil. Feijoada is a hearty pork, beef, smoked chorizo and black bean stew served with rice and a side of farofa.

It's a small cozy Brazilian cafe/restaurant by the beachside, making it a perfect spot to dine during the summer months when the sun sets later, but perhaps not so much in the cold freezing winter- we notice it is the only restaurant amongst the strip to not be empty! Chilli and Garlic Prawns with crusty bread $15 Nevertheless, we get comfy snuggled up on the comfy cushioned sofa, with the door closed tightly and the heater on full blast. The menu isn't extremely extensive, but does contain a good mix of both classic and Brazilian options. For entrees we try the chilli and garlic prawns, which aren't actually that hot. The prawns are fresh and juicy, and served alongside toasted bread, makes for a sa

Left feeling disappointed. I came here on a voucher, excited by the other reviews and some of the dishes on the menu. Unfortunately I left disappointed. We had an early dinner booking on a Friday night and right from the get go there was a raft of items not available from the menu - from food to drinks. Not a deal breaker but not a good sign. Unfortunately quite a few items we ate missed the mark - the antipasto board was not fresh, the bbq meat plate for main was well over cooked and then cake for dessert was also stale. Service was also slow, with the head chef only making his way to work after we were seated for 15 - 20 mins - so our food was much slower in coming out, where as the diners with a later booking didn't seem to wait as long. I will say the ambient of the restaurant is nice. All in all I won't be returning.

Best chai in the area. Rob and the team are always smiling and serve my favourite drink in the east - their stick chai latte is so good I went back for a 2nd hit!

We got a groupon meal for four people which was great value. Restaurant is very small and was a bit squashed. We were served pretty quickly but took ages until our drinks came then the starters shortly afterwards. Food was really nice but very small portions and was wanting more afterwards. Service wasn't great but waitresses were friendly. Probably won't return but was ok for the price we paid.

Yum!
Went with a Groupon voucher and was not disappointed. The food was SO delicious and the servings were generous. Great and friendly service. Definitely recommend!

Was pleased with the ability to chose from the regular menu with our groupon voucher. Cassava chips, garlic prawns and BBQ meat dishes were amazing! Was expecting more flavour from the Wagyu pie since all other dishes were packed with layers of flavour. The pie was cooked very well. Nice intimate environment with friendly staff.

Lovely brazilian restaurant in Bronte. I was excited to hear the opened a Brazilian restaurant in Bronte. Conveniently located on the main strip of Bronte overlooking the beach, Bronte Belo is a cosy cafe with a menu of Australian classics and also offers a Brazilian menu. They had a lovely selection of starters, we chose a mix of Brazilian & international dishes including coxinha, casava chips, which were tasty & a nice haloumi salad. For mains we chose a selection of Brazilian dishes, including feijoada & moqueca de peixe, mixed meat plate and a seafood pasta. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasty, one thing I found was some of the portions of the Brazilian dishes could be bigger. Overall it was a lovely experience, the staff were very friendly and it was very kid friendly, they have a great box of toys to entertain the kids. My kid was enjoying playing with the toys while we had a nice dinner.

Lovely little restaurant!. We went to this restaurant on a Friday night and it was lovely. It was not overly crowded but just enough to hear yourself and enjoy the lovely food.
The price was good for the quality of food. The staff were fantastic, they were really friendly and always went over to the customers to check up on them. Have nothing bad to say, just a nice little resturant/cafe, nice and friendly staff and yummy food!

Bought from Groupon May 2014.

My friends and I were amazed by the outstanding table service! The waitresses were prompt, professional and the chefs had a fantastic attention to detail. Being a breakfast person and super critical about it, I can confidently say this has become my favorite breakfast joint in town. Also a complete justice to the view from this modest looking cafe. Clearly a joint run by passionate chef(s). Ordered the portobello and vegetarian breakfasts. Loved it!! Back for sure!
