With a Beach View and a Water Front Dining area, this place is an amazing place to be at the Brontë Beach and their Skimmed Mocha was An Amazing Serve.

With Bronte Beach a runny sneeze away, beachside brunching doesn’t get much better than this. Named after the kiddie rock pool at Bronte Beach (that, yes, I prefer to swim in than the beach), the Bogey Hole Café has been pleasing the palates of Bronteans for nearly 25 years. It was one of the first cafes to pop up on the now heavily populated strip facing off with the beach.
The Bogey Hole Café is small, with European-style café chairs and tables spilling out onto the street. While it has plenty of character it’s not trying to be on-trend or anything it’s not. The take-away coffee cups are Plain Jane and there’s no wanky quinoa or kale smoothies in sight. “Thank tomatoes,” sighs the husband. It’s all an ode to Bronte’s age-old village feel.
The café fare is authentic. I had the full-flavoured BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato), which was served on super fresh sourdough from Iggy’s Bread. While the coffee and tea comes courtesy of Toby’s Estate.
Overall, it’s a cute spot for eggs and coffee pre-beach with frands.

After grabbing an early wave with what felt like the whole of the eastern suburbs I needed a pick me up. I love the Bronte area - and this little cafe stood out to me as I was trekking it back to my car. The cool old decal on the front and a packed morning trade drew me in.
Managed to score a table outside and continue my appreciation of the the beach while enjoying my second great love - coffee. It is a strong blend here, but not bitter and hot enough that you feel like you are actually drinking a traditional coffee, not about to throw down a luke warm coffee infused water. I ordered the B.L.A.T, because the new year new me phase always sleeps in until at least 10 on a Saturday. Lightbulb toasted sourdough, crispy bacon, a smokey mayo that tingles the tongue and lightly fried cherry tomatoes. The one thing about this was the amount of lettuce - a little too much that made eating it somewhat harder than it should have been. Other than that this was a great little breakfast joint and honestly the view is stunning. If you are escaping the heat - then head up here. They do a few smoothies and juices as well which may be more your taste in the heat
The Bogey Hole Cafe is a small cafe mainly sprawled along the footpath. Holding spectacular views of Bronte Beach in the summer it is a cute spot to sit and have a coffee. The menu held an array of dishes to pick from however it did not wow us to go back a second time.
By far the best scrambled eggs in Bronte!! Always with Turkish toast, but watch out they serve all toast with butter unless you ask them not to! Relaxed & casual cafe. Beautiful view of the ocean across the road and usually some outdoor seats available.
Amazing food, loved it...this part of town is magic...great coffee..
Love field mushroom brekky . Always order your coffee strong .
What I love is the cakes -homey simple made there. Treat yourself. Yum.
Tasty tasty.. Great cafe with a beautiful view. Loved the Bogey Hole Burger as a nice change to always eating meat. The homemade baked beans and buttery field mushrooms were just as delicious.
Absolutely delicious rolls! Lovely service and amazing juice. Perfect location- can't really fault it.
Had lunch on October Labour Day Monday. Great food and good service. Not as Kid friendly as I was led to believe - no kid menu for instance. Other than that reasonably priced and fantastic location looking over Bronte beach.
My first visit was intended for breakfast however I was put off by the pedestrian bacon and eggs variations. I opted for the chicken baguette. Very pleasantly surprised. Topped it with some very nice crepes. Coffee was on par with most eastern suburbs coffee. Second visit I had the steak sandwich. It was amazing! Probably the best I've had anywhere! Had the crepes again and a juice. Service is passable. Staff could be friendlier and I had to ask for water and a steak knife for and open steak sandwich. It's more than forgivable when you try the food! Oh and I grabbed and Anzac biscuit as I left, very good also!
Pork belly sandwich was awesome! Generous slabs of pork roasted with hoisin marinade on great Sonoma baguettes. Yum.costs about $ 12.
We just had the pumpkin and spinach lasagne and the the slow roasted lamb and quinoa salad complemented by a glass of house white and a James boags. Delicious food and prompt polite service. Great stuff and thank you. Would def come again and recommend.
Great food in a great location. Frequent the Bogey Hole regularly. Service is good, staff friendly & food is tasty. Recommend field mushrooms for breakfast. Will continue to return!
Came here before 9am and you do pay for parking on street. Had this pumpkin breaky, more for hungry stomach, this was very filling with a giant piece of roasted pumpkin , quinoa, rocket and dollar scoop of hummus. Could use more balsamic sauce on pumpkin, and a creamy vegan dressing on quinoa and salad.
I also ordered a no sweetener latte, but their cinnamon sprinkle on top have sugar. Staff was nice enough to correct my order. Could be more attentive to requests.
Lovely spot, well loved by locals. Will come back again for lighter meal and simple drinks order.
The best sea pool in the Sydney and delicious breakfast = excellent combo 👌
Absolutely amazing location, food and service! What a blissful spot taking in the ocean and waves. I came here in the morning for a stunning sunrise. I was able to spot some whales in June
This has always been the best café in the strip - great food plus daily cakes and muffins baked by them. Today we had excellent tuna, and a mushroom combo with nice Pinot Grigio and view of the ocean... the best!
Great coffee and great lunch options.
It’s my favourite spot at Bronte beach for lunch/coffee.
I have had different dishes and the quality is consistently good. The price range is reasonable for the portion. I prefer the vegetarian green bowl which is very tasty.
Staff is friendly; they recently renovated the pavement so the outside seating area is nice.
Personally never had the chance to go in there but I know Its very popular as it sets a great beach vibe and ambience 🥰 Today I finally went in with my wife and little one and had a proper breakie with eggs and coffee 😜I' am looking forward to a proper lunch and some good wine along the strand 🥂Looking forward to seeing that bogey again 💃
