Absolute Star of a restaurant. The menu is fabulous with loads of variety. The chef here knows what they're doing. You will not find fault with any meal. Had a steak and just look at the Gravy boat it came with, not a thimble hay?
It's a cozy seafood restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a pub with sports bar nextdoor. Combination of grilled and battered seafood is available as well as rump steak and sirloin. It's a popular choice and the clear plastic blinds keep out the rain in wet weather.
Great location for Lunch & Dinner or just a quiet drink. Railway station is straight across the road. I have not eaten everything on this menu. Hamburger was great the pizza was WOW. and let's not forget about the steak. And the seafood platter. No complaints from me.
$30 for a fish and chips with 2 small Ling fillets is firstly very expensive. Worse still the fish were obviously straight from the freezer and was cold inside the batter, soggy and bad fishy smell.
This restaurant is located in the Anglers Rest hotel at Brooklyn and serves basic pub meals as well as more fancy dishes. I had the burger which was excellent as were the hand-cut chips. Friendly little pub which was a welcome site after hiking the Great North Walk. The service was quick and the portions were huge. Just what we needed to refuel.
Next to the train station and a best palce to catch up with friends.
Nice place once we worked out were the restaurant part was, big menu not cheap but not scary expensive ether. We chose the Wagu beef burger and a garlic bread, It all felt homemade which I love the beef patty was chunky juicy and thick complimented by the well seasoned crunchy hot chips. I accompani
