Came to Zookeepers on our last day in town, had beautiful breakfast! They were all friendly and very accomodating for my dietary requirements..(they have very good GF bread).. delicious Broome Schrooms with added pancetta..my husband had the Peach Perfect pancakes, they were excellent.
Great coffee!!
Wow. Wow. Wow. This place is incredible. After a really disappointing 30th Birthday lunch at ‘the wharf’ restaurant I was left feeling a bit deflated ... especially seeing as though everyone had been soo lovely all day. We stumbled across this place earlier in the week on their pasta night, but as I have coeliacs it didn’t suit me. Anyway this place is incred. The menu is extensive and exciting, the cocktails are delicious, staff accomodating to menu changes, meals were deliciois (ceviche and barramundi were amazing) and the staff were absolutely lovely. Had such a wonderful night there. What a great restaurant!!
One of the best breakfast places in Broome ! Not far from the beach and buzzing on weekends but plenty of waiters and quick turnaround. Portions are solid, definitely recommended the chilli eggs. Just the right amount of heat and a ton of chorizo! Definitely will be back 👍
Still the best and most consistent place to eat on the Broome/Cable Beach environs. Great food, great service and excellent front of house (Kristy). Will continue to patronise whenever in Cable Beach.
Had a great night here dropped in unannounced with 7 people they managed to accommodate us. Service was great, efficient and friendly. Best food in Broome.
Had breakfast here - magnificent. I had the Eggs Benedict and my wife had the Chilli Scrambled Eggs. Both were excellent and made with good quality produce. Staff were lovely.
Went to the Zookeepers Store on two nights during the wet season. I could not speak more highly of the food and service here. On the Saturday night, we came in as I had seen a pic on Instagram that they were doing a chef’s special crayfish laksa. Oh my god. It was phenomenal. The flavours were amazing. I was in heaven. I also had the “pearl and pindan” pearl meat as an entree. The meat was quite sweet and was quite nice. My partner had the pork as a main and he enjoyed it. He saved me a piece and some of the crackling and it was delish.
The second night we went was on New Year’s Day, and I tried the kingfish ceviche for entree and the barramundi for main. Now, if I thought the crayfish was amazing, the ceviche was to absolutely die for. It was so delicious that I wanted to order a second one. The juices were so flavoursome and I was one of those people and used my spoon to drink them. That’s how good it was. Given how good the entree was, the main had a lot to live up to. While the barra was delish and the sauce and veges were nice, it just was never going to live up to the entree. However, the partner had the Kimberley steak and, sweet mother of god, I had food envy. I had a taste and it was melt in your mouth perfect. I would completely and utterly recommend this restaurant in Broome. It’s my number 1 pick for the destination!
The laid back vibe of the Zoo Keepers Store makes it a great place to enjoy the fantastic food and beverages available, a must try if in town.
We came the first time it's was too late, close to 2pm, so we could only come again the other day. Worth the second visit ! We had the early lunch, in fact, the cafe was still accepting the breakfast order only before 12pm. We ordered drinks only and wait for about 30mins to order our lunch. In fact, some items are list in both breakfast and lunch sections, The flat white was excellent, fantastic latte art ! The pasta is alright. The soft shell crab burger is quite uncommon. So give it a try. It was very nice ! The crab was deep fried already so it's very crispy. There's not much meat in the crab but taste-wise, it's just deliciously and love it !
Awesome coffee, great salads and what look like great meals for breakfast lunch and dinner, in a great little indoor/outdoor cafe. Really popular
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast here on our last morning in Broome. Service was great, decor is cool and chic. Mrs Kiwichef had the Keepers Benedict with a side of mushrooms, while my choice was the Chilli Scrambled Eggs, and both were wonderful. Great coffees and pastry cabinet too. Well recommended.
We had a lovely breakfast here whilst on holiday. It wasn't very busy. Located away from the beach. Service with a smile. Good coffee and again great eggs!
Nice breakfast. Covers the usual modern Australia cuisine. The muesli was a bit different than usual but tasted fine. The mushrooms and eggs went down well. The coffee was a bit milky but this is a personal preference. Nice outdoor atmosphere. Fabulous fruit muffins.
These guys have a great menu (April 2017). A little pricey but very high quality food. We had breakfast there twice just to try a few different things. Popped in for dessert one night too and were not disappointed. Service even on a busy evening was exceptional, service on a busy morning much less impressive.
We have been in Broome for a week for our honeymoon and have come here twice we were that impressed. Service is absolutely excellent, waitstaff are so attentive and friendly. We had the keepers board both times we were here - delicious antipasto and cheeses. The caprese salad is excellent - can tell it's really good quality mozzarella cheese used. Sides are delicious - green beans and glazed carrots in particular. Also couldn't go past the house red wine for value and taste. For a town that has some quite pricey restaurants this is definitely excellent value for money at around $80 a couple including wine. Will definitely be back if we're in Broome again!
The Zookeeper is such a great little place had most breakys here - the fresh almond croissants and coffee were always on point, staff were always super friendly and helpful :) we also tried dinner here was lovely great menu and lots of tasty dishes !
Had the most delightful eggs benedict for breakfast - lovely avocado and herbs on ciabatta with pancetta and perfectly poached eggs. Good coffee - could have been a bit warmer. Had a table outside - lovely setting and good, quick service. Will be back.
This is my must visit stop every visit to Broome. I discovered this gem last year when it opened and I have been back today one year later pleased to see that the quality is still there. Anyone passionate about hand made breads and pastries should visit here as it's inspiring to see all the hand made artisan treats. I remember reading that his cafe/bakery is a creation by a chef closely linked to Jamie Oliver. It sure shows ...
Had breakfast here today. Loved the spicy sugo with fried eggs and ciabatta. The coffee was terrific and the service was good and friendly. It's open for dinner Thursday to Tuesday.
Dropped in on our way to the beach. Coffee is excellent and Kate said the best in town.
The menu is a rippa with an interesting selection of meals. We were both disappointed that we could not get the salad as they were out of ingredients but a couple who arrived an hour after us received a salad. This could be a genuine situation or meal control for the lunch crowd.
A brilliant relaxing area to sit to read the paper, efficient friendly service and only a five minute walk from the beach.
Great breakfast place! Absolutely loved my zucchini fritters with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs! Others on my table had the panacotta granola which looked picture perfect
Arguably the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had. Add the Mushies too! Coffee was great too and good service. Now just adding characters to get to 140 which seems pointless.
Fabulous food and friendly staff.
Lovely menu with lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. If you order the pancakes, make sure you ask for honey/syrup on the side.
Always an excellent spot for breakfast. Good service. Great food, including lots of vego options. Coffee was delightful as well .............
5-May Came in for a quick breakfast on a typically hot morning and we chose a great table outside in the shade. The
coffees are good and they also have some micro-blends available for those that look for something different. I settled for the crunchy granola with lime panacotta that was simply terrific and would be hard to top. The others had the fresh fruit with yoghurt that was OK simply as the fruit was not as fresh as it could have been especially the watermelon that was almost translucent. The staff are friendly and there's a great selection of pastries and muffins as well as cooked breakfasts. Really worth a visit.
A quick five minute drive from cable beach will take you to this wonderful cafe near Willies creek pearls.
There is ample parking at this cafe with plenty of room inside and a shaded area outside to relax in whilst you watch the camels stroll by.
Lots of highchairs available for the little ones and a tasty menu for everyone.
A different menu I must say but refreshing because it wasn't just your usual run of the mill bacon & egg.
The coffee was amazing, i would even say the best in Broome!
We ordered two breakfasts and coffee for under $50, there were also beautiful pastries and muffins available for snacks later on.
We went back three times and we will certainly return when we are in the area
Fantastic food and coffee! Only negative was the very long wait for the food and coffee.
