Such a beautiful place. I could take photos every day all day down there. Snorkelling, swimming was great. I couldn’t go back this year due to bicep injury. As soon as I can though. I will be. Such a nicely run, clean, and relaxing spot. Cafe down the bottom also the n new owners are lovely.
Ocean side spots are sensational, water to each site but no power. Powered sites available but they are not beach front... easy access, mostly level ground sites. Plenty of sun and shade.
Amazing spot to swim inside the tide pool. Good food, coffee, bottle shop just across the road. Nice takeaway shop in the park open early till 3.
Beautiful beach very laid back atmosphere. Just like the sunshine coast used to be. The caravan park could use some updating but is clean and on the beach so what more could you want
I’ve done allot of camping around Qld and NSW, and I can quite honestly say, Brooms Head is one of the best caravan parks around. We had one of the unpowered beach front campsites, where you are literally a stones throw from the waters edge, but on grass, so don’t have to deal with sand getting in everything. At low tide the protected lagoon empties, and the kids can play in the rock pools, at high tide it’s the perfect shallow lagoon for swimming. The kids fished (and actually caught something!) We had dolphins playing in front of us, and whales cruising up the coast. The campsite has numerous toilet and shower facilities, which were spotless at all times, and a lovely cafe. Reception staff were nice and friendly, as was the guy who cleans the amenities and takes care of the grounds. Wifi wasn’t working, but that’s not the end of the world. There are various unsealed roads nearbye for bike riding, the local bowlo has a good Chinese restaurant, and Yamba and Mclean are not too far away to visit. Just to give you a heads up, the beach front sites are some of the best campsites in Oz (IMO), however, if the weather turns, the wind starts blowing and it starts raining, they are very exposed, and you bear the full brunt of the weather. If this is an issue for you, pick a site further back from the beach, where you often have ocean views, but your a little more protected from the elements. We had five days of glorious sunshine and gentle winds, and really, camping doesn’t get any better, then we had two days of 40kmph wind gusts and rain, and it was a very different experience! So just be aware of that issue when you select your site. We live on the Gold Coast, and would take Brooms Head over any caravan park the Gold Coast or Sunny Coast have to offer, by a long way 👍
Brooms Head caravan park
Site B23 unpowered right near Amenities Block and the headland. Short walk up to the lookout. In front of our site when the tide is out it leaves rock pools for the to wade or swim in so it's good for young kids. The 🏄♀️ beach as well is safe. Saw families with young children playing and there is from the headlands 🚶♀️ walking north about 800 metres a creek outflow/ inlet where it's also a great place to swim or lie in the water. There is a Cafe with light meals, drinks, 🍦 icecreams serviced.
The Amenities Block is very clean and your asked to disinfect basin and showers with spray bottle supplied and paper towel after use. Hand disinfectant also at all entry doors to toilets and laundry.
Photos taken with tide or and in, sunny and overcast from our site.
We go every Easter and love it. Beautiful beaches and great scenery from the bluff. Plenty of facilities some are a little old but always very clean
Nice north east facing caravan park with many sites, a few cabins as well. Some public facilities along the beach front.
