Fantastic food and very friendly family service. The popcorn chicken great. Ended up getting a second Laksa Rice takeaway to have for lunch the next day. Couldn't recommend enough for omnivores, veggoes and vegans. I'll definitely be back again.

I attended a private Birthday celebration at Little Oscar last night and truly had the best time. Food, drinks and staff were on point. Can't wait to go back again and again and again. We went to Little Oscars for my daughter's 22nd birthday. The staff were very hands on and helpful. My two little nephews were with us and the staff were great with them too. The food was amazing and we would recommend it too everybody.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Venue is great and clean. Staff were amazing all night. Very welcoming from the get go and made sure to check up on us and the other tables throughout the night.
Started off with the wings which were delicious and tender. Both the wagyu and sweet chilli chips were cooked perfectly.
The sliders was an interesting way to go for those dining in, but I really liked it. Easy to eat, not to messy, doesn't fall apart.
The only feedback is towards the soba noodles. Just missing a bit of flavour compared to the other dishes.
Apparently they will be doing a brunch menu soon. So cafe in the morning, burger bar at night.

Phone order, pickup. Very quick service.<br/><br/>Char kway teow, $14.90, nicely seasoned had good mix of veggies and tofu.<br/><br/>Popcorn chicken (vegan soy-meat), $11, so crispy and tasty. It really hits the spot for comfort food.<br/><br/>They use compostable biopacks.

If you are in the Brunswick East area, please drop by to check out this restaurant. Great food, quiet place and friendly staff. The price is slightly higher than normal asian restaurant but it is definitely worth to try. They also offer lunch special at a cheaper rate. Highly recommend to try out the dishes below <br/>- Smokey fried rice<br/>- Pop corn chicken<br/>- Roasted duck<br/>- Zinger tower<br/>- Double decker<br/><br/>I really think this restaurant is a hidden gem and deserves more attention.

Knowing my love of mock meat, both Thirsty Vegan (who last appeared in my review of Maccaroni Osteria Italiana) and Sand Pirate Penguin (who last appeared in my review of Vegie Mum) had told me about new vegan place Origin Tales in Brunswick East. I tried it twice and wasn’t disappointed. The first time, I visited with Thirsty Vegan after attending a literary event in the city. Potato Vegan, who subsists on a plant-free diet of Lord of the Fries, and Accidental Vegan, who is always mistaken for a vegan despite her omnivorous diet, joined us but neither of them ate.

If you like vegan junk food, this is your heaven. The healthiest item on the menu is the small salad that comes with some dishes. Not a place to eat light. It is good though, as anything that's salty or fried is sure to be. I started with the tempura calamari on request of my partner. It was definitely not tempura but instead a much heavier and breadier fry, which was way too dense and oily for my liking. A light panko crumb would have been better. I did really like the mock squid though, which tasted "authentic". We also tried the stuffed roti, a bit small for the price but filled with a tasty curried protein of some sort (maybe tvp?) and served with a slightly redundant but also tasty curried sauce. For a main, we got the laksa fried rice, which was spicy but not too intense, and chock full of mock meat and faux prawn. The three dishes paired nicely, although I was left with a bit of a stomachache from a spice and oil overload. I would give this place a 3, but the staff are great and the fully vegan concept is one I want to support, hence the bump up to a 4.

Great food and great service. Glad the whole menu is vegan. Will definitely come back and try more things. The prices are also good. I got the poke bowl and my friend got the zinger burger. I'd love to see some more healthier options similar to the poke bowl but with a different set of vegetables and sauces yknow? More poke bowls! :D

Really enjoyed the food here. We had the hainanese chicken rice and the zinger burger - both were delicious. The sauces are homemade and very tasty. Service was warm and friendly. If you are vegan (or not) living in Brunswick & surrounds...this is a must try!

Yum! This place is awesome. I ordered through Deliveroo. I got the zinger burger which was my favourite, reminded me so much of the kfc zinger burger which I used to love pre vegan. Also got the loaded fries and the mee goreng which were both delicious. Epic vegan food. Will definitely order again!

Delicious food with very friendly staff and run by a lovely family. Unfortunately the menu is a bit overpriced - $16.90 for a burger on its own without chips is too much. Will definitely be back though!

Amazing food! I would say one of the best Asian vegan restaurants in Melbourne. Delicious and authentic Singaporean food. The service is fabulous too. Whether you come in for coffee or for food you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend the popcorn “chicken”. Will be back again soon.
