One of my favourite spots in Melbourne for low key drinks on a Saturday night. The staff are ace & have a huge knowledge and passion for good wine plus great banter. Spot on cheese selection too!

Love this place, there’s an amazing selection of wine and great staff with some awesome nibbles! The wine is at bottle shop prices but with a wine bar experience.

The best wine store in Melbourne. I live round the corner from Tim's wine store and despite a Dan Murphy opening across the road I still go to Tim's every time. I just tell Tim or Robbie what I'm making for dinner and they always recommend a winner for however much I want to spend (usually $20). I've never had a bad bottle, and he's actually much better value than Uncle Dan's - Tim sells the same beer for $4 less a six-pack! The bar is also nice to sit for a glass of wine and some cheese or antipasto, and the regular tastings are a winner.

Brunswick East Wine Store is a real local’s spot that specialises in fantastic wines to either take away or drink on site. The man you’ll see behind the register/bar most often is owner Tim Cohen, who is a Brunswick local himself.

Love the personalized service. I always ask Tim what he recommends and it's consistently a winner. Also love a drink at the bar - I usually either run into someone I know or have random conversations. Very much enjoy the wine tasting events, my fave was when Tim lined up seven Rieslings. Much prefer to shop local and support a Brunswick business than give my $$$ to a money grubbing corporate.

It’s rare you’ll find me shopping at the big liquor barns these days. I much prefer patronising the smaller independently owned stores for my craft beer, wine and occasional bottle of spirits. I’ve uncovered some fabulous specialist wine stores across Melbourne over the years and still continue to discover such gems from time to time. These boutique establishments tend to carry offerings from smaller, often lesser known wine producers and can provide the personalised service and wine knowledge that ‘s illusive at the supermarket owned chains.

I love this place. We are probably here more often than we should. Tim and his staff are excellent at recommending wines/beers. There's truffle Toasties available when they are in season. Often there is free wine tasting happening. We also went to a beer tasting event. And if you buy a bottle yo drink at the wine bar there is no corkage. How brilliant is that?!

This is a great wine shop, doubling up as a cosy wine bar with no corkage fee. There’s a great selection of wines and beers - a lot of it from smaller, local producers. The staff are more than willing to give you a hand and have a chat. If you’ve got a free afternoon, bring a few friends and sink a few bottles at the bar.

Tim has an excellent collection of wine and beer, hand-picked and great value. It's also a cosy place for a glass of wine and some cheese in the evening, with tastings every weekend. I compared it to the Dan Murphy's newly opened across the road, and don't be fooled - you'll get a much better value wine at Tim's wine store with his free expertise in picking the right wine for your occasion and budget.

A hidden gem at the top of Lygon St where you will find the great wine that you will never see on a Dan Murphy shelf. Better still sip on their changing list of wines by the glass an chat to owner, wine maker, and wine whisperer Tim Cohen - who'll match your wallet, occasion and senses to the perfect drop. Do yourself a favour...

A beautiful and inspiring place to buy wine! Always something different to try out such as the new vanilla oatmeal stout which is delicious. Staff are awesome and friendly. Wine also gets wrapped up in recyclable paper which is a lovely touch.

Every time I visit this store I walk away with divine wine at a fabulous price. This guy knows his stuff and consistently delivers on quality and advice. Just tell him what you're looking for and how much you'd like to spend and he'll find a gem that fits the bill. Love this place!
