My girlfriend saw this cafe on Instagram and wanted to try it and we both thought it was worth the 40 minute drive! Plenty of savoury options on the menu, but we came for the sweets.
The brownies were so decadent and rich but absolutely delicious!!! We also tried the Cherry Ripe freak shake and loved it, the dark chocolate on that was perfect. And the waffles too, were great and tasted really fresh.

After seeing sweet dishes from this place i was so excited to go try some of their sweet dishes during their birthday celebrations. We ordered all three sweet dishes which plated beautifully. Waffles were great with little brownie pieces on top adding the perfect little joyful bites. Hotcakes however were very heavy rather than light and fluffy making them hard to get through. The other dish also plated beautifully, the curd tasted great but all the elements together just didn't seem to tie in together for me. One massive issue for the dish was the honeycomb was well overcooked you couldn't break it easily as it should. Overall interior is pretty sweet dishes are plated beautifully, some dishes need little tweaking of elements to be great every single time but I'd definetly go back as was all still enjoyable.

I ordered the Corn Fritters. The bacon, poached egg and fritters, all cooked to perfection. The coffee in this place is amazing. Highness has its own blend, which you can buy at the counter. The staff is super friendly and make you feel at home. I will definitely come back !!!!
Leaf the grains were amazing with the mixed mushrooms. So much flavour especially with the labneh. The love me tender drink was very average. Lacking flavour, would not order again. Friendly staff and food came out really quick

We came here for brunch on Sunday. This pink cafe is easily caught your eyes if you drive pass.
The interior inside is quite modern and cozy with wooden tables.
We started with 2 drinks
- first date (date, avocado, banana smoothie)
- love me tender (lavender / blueberry smoothie)
Both of the drinks were nice.
Then we had 3 dishes which are on $12 meal promotion
- Chilli scrambled eggs
- Honey Bunny
- Let it grain over me.
All of the dishes were tasty and our favourite is the "Let it grain over me" which is the grain salad with mushroom. It was fresh and light.
I saw Highnesse's cross'n'which and I just had to try as I love croissants. It was absolutely delicious, I've never had anything like it. Will definitely be coming back here

The cafe is light and bright.
It was a good brunch, the food was pretty tasty and well presented but it wasnât anything spectacular.
I had the mex bowl and the black rice was just a pile of over cooked mush whilst the refried beans tasted a little weird too. Apart from that it was okay.
The eggs benny was very much enjoyed and the brisket was delicious.
The pancakes were a little messy and kinds bland. For both the benny and the pancakes having them in a bowl makes them extremely hard to photograph.
It takes away the needed height of both the dishes.
It was a decent brunch, but it just needed a bit more oomph and atmosphere
I loved the food and the coffee! I had the ciao bello and a specialty chai latte which was definitely something special! The mushroom on the ciao bello was perfect! The staff were very friendly and welcoming! The cafe looked very pink which was very cute however I donât entirely agree that it matched with the food. Nonetheless everything else was spot on!

What a hidden gem! The atmosphere and ambience was so lovely. The place looked and felt so friendly and comfortable. The menu options were extensive and diverse. Struggled to choose as there was so much to chose from! The dishes were amazing! The Mac and cheese was incredible! The crunch of the croquettes and the cheesy inside made it insanely good. That cheese sauce on top added to the amazing flavour. The French toast was something sweet that completed the whole meal. Generous potion sizes for the prices. All the dishes tried I would recommend! Definitely worth a visit or a few to try a variety of their menu!

Iâve been here quite a few times since moving into the area. And I will say I really enjoy the ambience and coffee (!!!) from this place. Itâs a good spot for catch ups or just on your own. Food is always really well done and I think definitely worth a trip further out for more adventurous brunch go-ers. Iâll probably upload more photos of food next time Iâm there. Love visiting Highness Cafe on the weekends for brunch and a sweet treat. The venue is beautifully decorated, food delicious and service 10/10. The Ferrero Shake is insane, and the Black forest pancakes are perfect for sharing. Don't worry if you don't have a sweet tooth, there's plenty savoury options too like Brisket Benny, Chicken Bao and even a delicious Chickpea & Tofu Scramble!
Came here with the missus a week ago, got the baked eggs and it did not disappoint. Service was really friendly and fast. Can't wait to come back and try the other items.

My favorites so far are the Acai Bowl, Pumpkin Party, and shakshuka! Always freshly made, tasty and the servings always fill you up!
Also, the "Let's Go Sago" dessert is amazing. The perfect combo of boba, passionfruit, and coconut. There's so much more to try and I am looking forward to it!
Located at the quite end of Lygon St, Highness café is a little gem of a find that are serving some of the best desserts in Melbourne. Being in the middle of winter and not worrying too much about the beach bod, this is the perfect winter warmer!
If youâre looking for open till late dessert cafe you have found it at Highness Cafe. Open for breakfast, lunch and dessert. This cafe is so pretty in pink and they even have a rose latte-love!
So many dessert options! My stand out was Honeycomb and chocolate waffles so generous on the chocolate and the honeycomb, at first you think you wonât be able to finish it- oh but you do đ
I also really enjoyed the Matcha and Berry Cheesecake it was a nice constituency of flavours that worked really well.

I visited Highness cafe the other day and loved the gorgeous styling this cafe has to offer! The pink walls and black and white retro tiles are gorgeous. We wanted to order the Rose Hot Chocolate but unfortunately this was unavailable. Instead we order almond lattes which were nice and made well. We ordered the honeycomb waffles and it is obvious that this cafe has absolutely nailed their dessert presentation. The dulce de leche and Nutella drizzle was divine. The waffle itself was sadly dry. Although I would definitely return for more snaps! We also ordered an acai bowl which tasted great but the presentation of this dish could be improved. There was one staff member working and she was most welcoming.

Their desserts have to be the highlight, which are available until 10pm, such as honeycomb waffles with banana and dulce de leche. A cafe that's open till late. Its a pretty good location on Lygon street for a cafe like this. Open till late they were serving their lunch menu with the addition of an amazing array of desserts. We went to Highness café to try out the new dinner menu and loved the menu . We found the price really reasonable for the quality and quantity you get in return for your buck
Below are some of the dishes we sampled :
Sage & Prosciutto wrapped chicken schnitzel with rocket pear & parmesan salad with chipotle aioli: This was a huge meal and is a great dish if your feeling like a cheat meal but still want to be healthy. I loved the juicy chicken and the salad
Wagyu patty, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, pickles, onions & mustard aioli in brioche bun with chips : The burger was really nice especially for one you would get at a café, the patty was juicy and the condiments with the brioche bun was balanced nicely
Spiced bbq Pulled pork, avocado & corn salsa, pickled onions, chipotle mayo & coriander: These were presented in a soft taco shell , they give you a lot of guac which I liked, spices in the pulled pork was also pronounced
Five spice Pulled Lamb, turmeric roasted cauliflower, beetroot hummus, chimichuri sauce & fried enoki mushrooms: I loved this dish, the beetroot and chimichurri was extremely flavoursome, I loved the pull lamb with this dish but this one could have easily been vegetarian
Thanks Berry Matcha! - Matcha cream cheese, mixed berry compote, vanilla crumble, fresh berries & white chocolate shards: I loved this dessert, the matcha could have been more pronounced in my opinion but it was like eating a cheesecake deconstructed
Red Velvet Pancakes - Light & fluffy pancakes stacked with whipped cream cheese, mixed berry compote, fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream & fairy floss : this was way too big for me but I liked the pancakes and how fluffy they were, the layering of the whipped cream made this dish ever more rich â thank goodness for the fruit to break up the dish

I visited this cafe recently and sampled a whole bunch of dishes. They were all very impressive! The snitzel stuffed with prosciutto and cheese was probably my favourite. It was done really well and with a nice side salad it was a good combo of naughty and nice.
The burger was also really tasty with a fair serve of pickles giving it that extra punch of tang.
The desserts are also a standout with the red velvet hotcakes and honeycomb waffles being my favourite. And the Nutella shake was SO good! Definitely check this place out!

Loved this cute little spot in Brunswick. So much pink (which I love) & a bright interior with plenty of seating! The menu is next level indulgence and I wish more of it were dairy free ! But for those wanting to treat yoâself itâs definitely the place to be! We ordered the Rocky road freak shake, Nutella pancakes, honeycomb waffles & Asian scramble which were all incredible and so beautifully presented. The staff were lovely too which made for a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend if youâve got a sweet tooth or chocolate addiction!

WOW... we walked past and saw the beautiful interior and waked in to see the options. the service we received was extraordinary and ended up staying for brunch and some desserts. we had chicken baos- 3 in a serve with decent portions and amazing flavour, Hash Rash- Huge potato hash topped with pulled pork, poached eggs and spicy hollandaise, Obsession- Chocolate brownie with honeycomb ice cream, fresh & dried berries & chocolate ganache. we LOVED everything we had and will be going back again very shortly...

Highness keeps delivering the goods every time! We have dined in and ordered via Uber Eats and its always been awesome. Most friendly service, amazing food, coffee & desserts and open till late!
After reading few reviews finally went to this place called HIGHNESS and truly felt very warm and welcoming place. Nice selection of color and decor with artificial plants. I had hot chocolate and certainly their hot chocolate is one of the best i ever had.
Then comes Sweet corn fritters it was just amazing loved each bite of it.
Staff was exceptionally good, greeting everyone with smile.Â
Nice place to go with friends and family .

Dulce Delicious Waffles might be one of my new favourite desserts in Melbourne! Great waffle, plenty of Nutella and caramel sauce, HUGE chunks of honeycomb and my favourite element - brulee'd bananas! Absolute 10/10 dish!!
As for savoury, the tacos really hit the spot and the sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy. Definitely recommend this cafe, it's a real hit on Lygon Street!

We were delighted to be invited tonight to the new menu launch of Highness cafe. Tonight, there was an array of dishes to sample, both savoury and dessert dishes.
To start off, we had two hot chocolates. It was freezing outside so these definitely warmed us up and they tasted so so good. Later we had a Nutella Milkshake - Iâve never had such an incredible milkshake before, I could have had another one!
The burger was extremely tasty and cooked very well. The chips were crunchy and hot, and it was overall a very wholesome and delicious meal. My favourite savoury dish was definitely the Five Spice Pulled Lamb. The cauliflower, and enoki mushrooms were exquisite and gave the dish that extra kick. The lamb was cooked beautifully and it simply melted in your mouth. Â
Although we were extremely full after the savoury dishes, there was definitely room for dessert! The Red Velvet Pancakes was an extremely aesthetically-pleasing dish accompanied with whipped cream cheese, mixed berry compote, strawberries and fairy floss. It was not too sweet and it tasted amazing. Our favourite dessert dish was the Dulce Delicious WaffleâŠ.wow. The brulĂ©ed banana was divine and the honeycomb was fantastic. This meal definitely left me feeling very full and completely satisfied.Â
Tonightâs event was definitely one to remember! We cannot thank Highness cafe enough and we look forward to returning soon!

I was super lucky to be invited to the evening menu launch and, boy, was the food delicious!
Started off with drinks. I got the Berry Love Latte and Strawberry & Rose Milkshake. Both were pretty in pink and both were super delicious! The latte had a lovely sweet flavour and was a perfect "warm me up" kinda drinks, where the Strawberry & Rose Milkshake was like a delectable liquid form of turkish delight!
The 4 savoury dishes came at me with a punch of flavour! My fave was the Schnitzel. So juicy and wrapped in sage and prosciutto, it was full of goodness. The chipotle mayo really elevated the dish!
The Wagyu burger was also a fave. Had all the yummy burger insides (like bacon, pickles etc.) and sandwiched with a brioche bun. Oh, you get the crispy, crunchy chips with it as well!
If you want something that's hearty and yum, I'd recommend the Five Spiced Pulled Lamb. Everything was super flavourful and it looks so pretty!! And lastly for the savoury were the Pulled Pork Tacos. Soft tortilla packed with so much, and the pickled onions gave it a lovely fresh and zingy flavour!
The 3 sweet dishes were super tasty and very pretty! Everything from waffles and bruleed banana to red velvet pancakes and matcha cream cheese! These desserts would be amazing by themselves, or to finish any meal!
My fave were the Dulce Delicious Waffles. Perfectly bruleed bananas, crunch, sweet honeycomb and salted caramel ice cream on top of a delicious waffle!

We were delighted to be invited along to the launch of Highness Cafes evening menu. Itâs great to see a cafe that has only just recently opened looking to extend its trading hours.
Despite the pink decor this bloke felt right at home and I loved the optical illusion created by the floor tiles... mesmerising!

The burgers was super tasty and cooked pink but I was actually alright with this normally preferring them to be cooked well. The lamb with beetroot purée and enoki mushrooms was probably my favourite main and I loved that slight spice kick to the lamb.
The chicken schnitzel had a layer of pancetta under the crumb which really worked. That crunchy crumb and the chipotle sauce was magic. Our last main was the pork tacos which were generous but we were so full we couldnât finish.
After a fab we tried the amazingly instaworthy ted velvet pancakes which delivered on flavour but my stand out dessert was the dulce delicious waffles with honeycomb and caramel flavours pairing nicely with brûléed banana.
A great range of dishes on the menu and Iâm sure there really is something for everyoneâs tastes.

We were invited to Highness last night a relative newcomer just about to commence a dinner service. I was wildly impressed with the interior and the best milkshakes Iâve ever had. PROPER milkshakes that are the full bodied flavour they claim to be not just a glass of milk vaguely reminiscent of Nutella. This thing had a truckload of Nutella in there and it was so outstanding I ordered a second one!
I also commend the coco mango smoothie which was deliciously light and tropical. I couldnât wait to try the food after these stellar drinks and it did not disappoint. We sampled a range of savoury dishes including the wagyu burger, a fancy chicken schnitzel dish (which was oh so juicy and tender) and a spicy pulled lamb with a flavourful beetroot hummus. But I implore you save room for dessert!!
Those red velvet pancakes and the dulce delicious waffle were a sweet sweet fantasty. I particularly enjoyed the additional elements on the plate including the brûlée banana and yummy berry compote. As equally delicious as they were visually stunning. Such a welcome addition to the area
Amazing breakfast/brunch/lunch cafe in Brunswick East. The service is friendly, welcoming and attentive. The strawberry rose milkshake is delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the acai bowl and loved how much coyo they gave with it. The Asian style scramble is loaded with tofu and chickpeas, so yummy, vegan and flavoursome.

What a lovely cafe! Thoroughly enjoyed my shashuka and green tea matcha latte. I brought my little one along which proved a disaster because she dropped and smashed her babycino not once but Twice! They have several different types of hot chocolate flavours (milk, dark, chilli cinnamon, rose, peanut butter, Nutella, and coconut) iced coffee and chocolate, mega crazy milkshakes, frappes, smoothies, and many more.
I discovered this place because they started following me on Instagram. We were able to book online and overall we enjoyed the food. They were Instagram worthyđ. For main we ordered the Shakshuka, Ciao Bello and Hash Rash. For dessert we had the Milotini (like a chocolate mousse) and the Match made in heaven (which was like a deconstructed cheesecake). Service with a smile, very attentive and coffee was above average including my matcha almond latte. Other than the place being cold (because the main door was left open), the poached egg being a little overcooked and the ladies rest room in need of attention, our overall experience was pleasant.
