We came in for lunch yesterday- the staff were very busy but still maintained a polite, friendly, professional manner and the food was sooo worth the wait... can not stop thinking about that squid salad!!! ����

Had a wonderful experience at Happy Dolphin! We were very warmly greeted at the door and treated with great service, delicious fresh food from a very creative menu, and we thoroughly enjoyed not just the meal but great ambiance and friendly interaction from the staff. I would just like to say I had THE most beautifully presented breakfast this morning that I've EVER had in my life. I made a special order of scrambled eggs, bacon, spinach and avocado with no bread and it not only looked gorgeous, it tasted delicious. Well done Happy Dolphin Cafe, you certainly have one very happy customer. I will be back. :)

I found Both the food and service to be excellent.
Just what we needed after a night at the local pub.. A good old "big breakfast". Everything on the plate was delicious. Special mention to the mushrooms & the lovely runny fried eggs. Not too sure if the green salsa stuff was necessary. I would have been happy with some tomato or bennidict. Awesome strong hot coffee to! Definitely recommend.
We ordered the chicken satay bagels. Delicious! Wish I lived closer so I could get one more often. Service was great and menu had a good range of foods. There were gluten and dairy free options on the menu too, which I appreciated.
Hubby and I dropped by for a quick lunch recently, and were pleasantly surprised, not having been here before or knowing anything about this cafe. Staff were pleasant and efficient. One of the young men asked how our coffees were. Excellent we told him:=). The coffee is from Toby's Estate, and was really fabulous. Hubby loved that his bagel had heaps of butter (it can be very scant in most establishments), and that the halloumi was generous. His egg was fried perfectly, and runny which is how he likes it. He loved the pepper (he is a pepper fiend it must be said). I enjoyed my croissant which had a generous amount of avocado on it. Even the rocket leaves (on hubby's plate) which I don't normally eat were peppery and fresh. I didn't mind them. It was lovely looking out at the river too. The fellow who took our money at the counter was very friendly and helpful. So all up, a pleasant lunchtime interlude in a very lovely riverside town.
Very busy cafe. Breakfast meals are good though. I love my Eggs Benedict and this place does it well. Coffee is very good. Reasonable prices. Sometimes hard to get a table.
