Lovely brunch , highly recommend service great food sensational , lots variety on menu , had smashed avo with salmon best ever had . Booked a table day before was awaiting our arrival . Will definitely visit again ☕️😊
I’ve been here several times and it never lets me down!
This place is the definition of a Melbourne Cafe/restaurant ☕ such a vibe and very Instagram worthy
We often go there for weekend brunch and have tried quite many from their menu. Love all the food we had but only one thing I don’t like about this place is the berry smoothie. I’m not very big fan of the artificial syrupy taste in fresh smoothie. also, when we order iced coffee or iced mocha that comes with ice-cream it is bit of nuisance that we have to ask for a teaspoon for the ice-cream.
Sooo yummy! Coffee is great too. I come here whenever I’m either to catch up with a group of friends over brunch, or when hungover and need a good, reliable feed. Have tried quite a few items on the menu, so far hasn’t gone wrong.
Housed inside a converted warehouse this Brunswick stalwart turns 10 years old this year. I remember coming here way back in 2010, and learning how this lofty building was originally a power station, and then home to the Lux Oven Company. It’s now heritage listed, and vestiges of the former resident can still be seen around the venue, with vintage stores serving as cutlery stands.
It’s great to see Daniel Amato still taking pride in his venue, and his new addition to the family: A KB90 Espresso machine. “We’ve gone from a Toyota to a Lamborghini, and the baristas love it”. It works a treat with beans sourced from Proud Mary, and their natural El Salvadorian tasted a lot like a Caramello Koala as a short black.
The menu takes a Middle Eastern theme, with their eggs Benny being the pick of the bunch for lunch.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, really enjoyed the outdoor area
Best atmosphere, accommodating staff, meal and coffee was delicious. Will definitely be back
Great spot for a coffee, whether inside the large venue or outside in the courtyard, where there are always lots of cute dogs. They do a nice soy flat white and some good food, my favourite of which is the Middle Eastern breakfast. In my experience, staff are always great.
In a beautiful, converted warehouse in a side street of Brunswick, Lux Foundry is an extremely popular cafe for very good reason. With a hip atmosphere and a warm and welcoming vibe, it's easy to spend time here. There is lots of natural light, and plenty of seating; but with it's popularity, you may have to wait for a table at busy times. It's so worth the wait though.
The staff here are fantastic; so friendly and chatty. We arrived at a busy lunch period, but staff were extremely accommodating and attentive and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The coffee and juice that we had were great, and it's also a liscenced venue, so you can have an alcoholic drink if you like.
We enjoyed some fabulous bao, which were light and fluffy with a delicious, spicy filling. The breaky roll was also tasty, and a great choice. A huge bowl of chips was a delicious side, and they were perfectly addictive. There are also lovely treats available from the display, and it's hard to go past a yummy looking muffin.
Brunswick certainly has it's fair share of fabulous eateries, and Lux Foundry is up there with the best. An urban fitout, cool ambience and fantastic food really draw the locals in; and the fabulous service keeps them coming back in droves.
The ambience is so stunning. The old warehouse building is beautiful. I ordered a cappuccino with honey which was nice. And the porchetta roll which was delicious. The service was mainly good. Aside from one particular blonde lady that didn’t do much just chat to the coffee maker. She wasn’t very welcoming and her customer service was lacking. Sometimes a friendly hello makes a world of difference.
Great menu in a cool converted warehouse space with plenty of outdoor seating.
Love the ample outdoor seating at Lux, I always recommend it for anyone dining with their doggo.
Menu has some nice variety and flavours and caters well to dietaries.
Overall would recommend as a solid brunch option 👌
4.5 Lux Foundry is a stunner of a brunch venue both inside and out. The menu has just enough creative mixed with old favourites for a refreshing yet reliable brunch.
Lux Foundry is located in large warehouse space with plenty of seatings both indoor and outdoor. We went there on rainy day sadly that we could not sit outside; it would make good pictures with natural lighting though (the perks of being a food blogger - LOL).
Yay: Cappuccino, Berry smoothies, Middle Eastern Breakfast, Singaporean Crab Chilli Scrambled, Raspberry and Lemon Hotcakes
Nay: N/A
Absolutely loved this place. Came here for breakfast and was not disappointed by anything. Great coffee and a very nice bloody mary, i was also given a mini bottle of Tabasco to add to the bloody mary if needed. I know what you're thinking and no i didnt give a 5 rating becuase it was a great Bloody Mary.
The food here is also delicious. I had the middle eastern breakfast and was not disappointed. My wife had the Mexican beans and was not disappointed.
The service was very good too.
All in all i cant recommend this place highly enough.

Best Brunching Spot in Brunswick!
From the minute I walked up to Lux Foundry, I knew we had found a winner. From the amount of customers there, to the positively delicious food leaving the kitchen to be served my tastebuds danced with excitement.
My companion and I were promptly brought into an amazing atmosphere with modern furnishings, however still paying tribute to the original foundry. Once seated, the perused menu looked divine and I chose the French Brioche Toast with Orange Mascarpone, Vanilla and Cinnamon berries and a citrus poached pear. My god, it was the perfect amount of sweetness, without entering a sugar coma. Not to mention the rich taste of the caramel sauce pairing the berries and brioche.
We have both agreed that this is our new favourite brunch spot, and the best breakfast we have had in a long time. We most definitely will be back.

📝: Situated just off Sydney Road, Lux Foundry was once home to the Lux Oven Company. Now it's a roomy escape from the hustle of Sydney Road, with soaring ceilings and expansive sun drenched courtyard. The Our menu is filled with delicious lunch and breakfast options, all made with locally sourced ingredients.
❤️: Couldn’t resist ordering the Singapore Blue Swimmer Crab Chilli Scrambled, served with pickled chilli, grilled prawn, toasted sourdough, and some extra citrus cured salmon on the side. Squeeze a little bit of lemon over, and it’s just perfect. Beautiful, tasty, simply delish!

Was blown away by how stunning this industrial style cafe was! We loved our recent visit where we enjoyed the raspberry panacotta, the chicken waffles and the Mediterranean breakfast. All these dishes were amazing, but those fried chicken waffles were bloody good! Recommend popping to Brunswick to enjoy a good brunch or lunch!

🥚 Crispy Poached Eggs
🌶 Chilli Caramel Jam
💰 $17.00

Lux Foundry has ALWAYS been on my list of breakfast/brunch spots in Melbourne! 📒 fantastic location and vibe, placed in an old school industrial factory thats been decked out with a sophisticated rustic vibe! 😎 ample outdoor AND indoor seating with large tables for groups and also the smaller to cater for all you brunch daters 😉 hey, if i woke up early enough, id do the same 😂 when i do wake early, i just make up for all thosed missed opportunities in one sitting! 😏 anywho, lets get to the grub! 🍽
.
☑ 8/10! Three words for this dish.. 'SO DAMN GOOD' ⭐ the crispy poached eggs are a gem! poached, crumbed and deep fried! 🍟 You can't get any better than that! 😉 that deep fried crumbing adds a ridiculous texture to the dish which is then taken to the next level with the complimenting chilli jam 😲 the combination is EPIC! 🔥 and absolutely on point! Great balance of flavour and texture is always a win for me 🙌🏽 Something unique that I'll 100% be back for hands down! ☝🏽 now comes the coin! 💰 a little on the pricey side to be honest, the dish overall is quite small for $17.00, however the taste does make up for it AND the price of breakfast/brunch in general has skyrocketed 🤔 nevertheless! Great dish and definitely recommended! ⭐
.
💡 TIP - they also have amazing specialty coffee for all my coffee lovers AND a great singapore blue swimmer crab scrambled eggs dish! 🦀🍳
Found this place on google maps because i was in the area to see my friend.
Staff are nice and helpful. Food is delicious. Would love to come back to try different food on the menu. Coffee was delicious.
Was in the Brunswick area and stumbled upon this place through my search for a lunchtime feed. The service was great and the food was equally amazing. The favourite was definitely the chicken poke bowl :) will be back
One of the best Eggs Benedict’s in Melbourne and amazing coffee!!! What more could you want?
I’ve visited lux foundry a few times now and cannot go past the Benny every time. The hollandaise is so silky and tasty, perfectly poached eggs and the bacon crumb is next level.
I’ve also tasted the vegan poke bowl with crispy tofu which was delicious, as well as the nourish bowl which are excellent and super tasty. The cold drip is my favorite coffee and is served in the coolest glass but the almond latte and protein smoothie were a hit as well 💪🏼
Both the indoor and outdoor sections are amazing, indoor for an industrial warehouse vibe and outside for a cool and relaxing vibe.
You cannot go wrong with visiting here! Will be back 💯❤️

Absolutely love the decor and vibe here! Great for a brunch or coffee catch up.
I had a yummy strong almond latte, and a vegan poke bowl with crispy tofu. The flavours were great!! Such a fresh brunch option!
Would love to return and try some more of their veggie options!
Edit: returned and tried the MIDDLE EASTERN BOWL which was delish!!
A really nice cafe that sits in quite a residential and industrial area. The menu and service here was really good.
My coffee was nice and strong, very smooth too. Not feeling too hungry I ordered the fruit loaf with orange mascarpone which presented beautifully. The fruit loaf in my eyes was hardly a fruit loaf, there were no apricots or dates as I thought there may have been. There was only raisins and sultanas, it should be re named as a raisin bread. It was also very dense, not the best I’ve ever had. The orange mascarpone was really yummy and there was a huge dollop which was nice.
I picked up at checkout that there was an eftpos charge of .23c, it really bothers me how some cafes will charge a surcharge when using eftpos. Obviously it isn't the value .23c, it is such a small amount but more principal. Are we not spending enough for our brunches and coffees to cover the small surcharge?
All in all a nice and friendly cafe, well worth a visit.
A fantastic venue in terms of space wise with incredible friendly staff on hand. Delicious flavours all round and unique combinations of Asian and middle eastern flavours. Located in a side street off Brunswick, it is a must visit for all brunchy weekends
The whole experience is wonderful. I’m after something sweet so I chose the passion fruit panna cotta.. it got different texture.. crispy nut, icy lemon and pannacotta .. yum. The passion fruit juice links everything well together .. I round rate 10 out of 10
Atmosphere is very nice and waitstaff were very friendly despite being so busy!
A bit pricey but nothing unusual for a brunch place, though I was surprised that English breakfast tea with my meal was $5.
I had the crumbed eggs, my brother had the waffles, and my friend had the French toast.
The portion sizes were just quite right- not too big or small.
Tacos were average however oats bowl was satisfying with fresh fruit. Great service. Loved the juices and shake. Vegan chocolate cake was real moist
The first thing you notice about Lux Foundry is the venue - situated in a heritage listed landmark, the once power station turned warehouse stays true to its character whilst offering a Brunswick-lux vibe. Offering plenty of outdoor seating, Lux’s breakfast/lunch menu was made for the age of instagram - offering menu items such brioche French toast with espresso marscapone, dark chocolate crumb, poached spiced pear, fresh berries and salted toffee. For me, my fellow diner and I couldn't go past the grilled calamari with herb salad, and the chicken and black bean tostadas. Whilst both dishes were fresh and full of flavour (and the calamari was cooked to prerfection!), the calamari salad was too sweet side for my liking.
I had the sweet corn and manchego croquettes. Definitely a different brunch style at this place - they have other dishes besides smashed avo. Coffee was great and the outside seating area was nice on a sunny day. The service was average with staff missing orders and coffee coming out after food dishes... And the bees.

Loved the vibes and the food there. I ordered Wagyu burger and a berry smoothie which was really yum. My friend ordered the fish tacos which were slightly small in portion but was pretty good too.
Such a cute place with a very nice outside area. I had the chai and as somebody who is very picky about my chai I absolutely loved it. Staff were friendly and I’m looking forward for to coming back and trying more.
Went on a week day and it wasn't busy. Still got left standing at the door for a good minute with no one acknowledging me, that wasn't a happy start.
After I sat myself down I ordered a smoothie, it came after my meal. Well enough ranting. Ordered the chorizo croquette, with cauliflower puree, spinach and sth sth. It was actually really nice! I loved every single bit of it. Will come back for more nice food!!
The perfect Melbournian ambience comprised of everything you want from a Café; rad tunes, chill vibes, friendly - helpful staff, strong wifi, ample indoor and outdoor seating in various furniture options to suit all tastes, aesthetically pleasing greenery and most importantly - awesome coffee.
Only stopped by for a coffee whilst waiting for my jeans to be tailored down the road at Dejour but stayed till they closed.
The iced coffee was so unexpectedly delightful. Served in a beautiful whisky glass with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream, real espresso and surprising little coffee beans floating around.
My only suggestion is to have outdoor pillows.
Headed back on a Sunday for a visit and it was absolutely full house which is what you love to see. Luckily I managed to get a table for one straight away. I ordered the passionfruit pannacotta which was beautifully layered in a cup and perfect healthy dessert
This is one of my favourite brunch spots. One of the only spots I will regularly come back to because it is consistently good, the staff are lovely and the menu is delicious. From burgers, to falafel, to eggs - amazing!!
Came in for a quick lunch. Turns out I have found a gem. As soon as I arrive, there was a waiter greeted me to show a place to sit. I already knew what I wanted to eat. He advised me extras that would make my dish better. I took his advice.
I asked for my usual cafe latte. While I was waiting for the food, coffee came first. I must say the barista was excellent. Flavour was ordinary but it was made perfectly.
Poke: Well, not the same as I expected. Nothing like an Hawaiian poke. Quite different. Japanese oriented.
Really enjoyed it! The staff were lovely and helped us get a seat outside to enjoy the great weather, as one became avaliable. Our group had the smashed avo, dutch waffles and pulled pork with eggs benedict - all great! I'll definitely be going back soon!
Came here on a super quiet Monday afternoon and had a late lunch.
The building is spectacular, with high ceilings and fairy lights that make it classy.
My date and I had the burger alongside a breakfast gnocchi special. The meals were both presented well. The gnocchi (said to be a mushroom one) didn’t have a lot of mushroom, but was pretty good. Something about the burger didn’t quite hit the mark - but omg the beer battered fries were delightful.
Coffee was pretty good too.
Only pitfall was the staff really seemed to want us gone, but it didn’t spoil the overall experience.
Subtly flavoured food in a warehouse set out. Be sure to arrive early as the wait can be long. Nothing extraordinary but overall a good experience. Servicing sizes are slightly small and there could be inconsistency in food quality. The beef burger we had was once really tender and juicy, but slightly dry and overly saucy the other time.
Great food! Daniel and the team make you feel like you’re visiting an old friend. The building and ambience is classic Melbourne warehouse charm and lots of rooms for prams, kids and dogs (outside). Lux has many menu options but I’m constantly seduced by the chilli crumbed poached eggs! Delish!
Great food, great coffee. You know you’ve found a great brunch spot when you’re already planning what to eat next time you visit.
I enjoyed the special - sardines, horseradish potatoes, crispy poached egg, salsa verde and pine nuts. What an amazing dish, one I wish was a permanent on the menu as I would come back especially for this.
My partner had the pulled pork Benedict on a hash - tender, combustion of flavours!
Really really good coffee. Great staff. Beautiful setting.
Can’t wait to come back!
One of my fave brunch place ever, introduced by a good friend of mine @alitafernandez.
Lux foundry does not only serve good #coffee but also has an amazing line of delicious brunch option. And the atmosphere was beyond great 🌟.
The long line is worth to wait!
Really enjoyed the FRENCH TOAST ah!? Thought was(Pancakes). they were nice and fluffy, not to sweet nor heavy. I'm just not sure about the berries, i hope they're not frozen. Its a quite nice and busy beautiful place to catch up with Family and friends.
I haven’t been brunch in a while so I decided to do some research and came across this cafe. The photos looked great and the reviews were positive so decided to give it a try!
Food: I ordered the pulled pork (seemed like everyone was suggesting this dish on the page) and bf ordered the chilli crab scrambled eggs. The pulled pork was amaazzing with the egg and hash brown 🤤🤤🤤 highly recommend this dish 👌🏻 bf enjoyed the chilli crab but rate it as just average’
Rating: 4/5 , I liked the decor inside the building, food was great and would come back again 🤗
Looove the place and the service. Staff are so nice and friendly and the food is great! However I don’t recommend matcha latte here coz it tastes like milk. Still the food and service worth a five star!!!
Delicious sweet corn and manchego croquettes. Attentive and friendly staff. Relaxing and casual vibe. Crowded. Will be back to try other exciting dishes on the menu. Limited number of cakes on display.
Parking area off the Sydney Rd and there is large outdoor seating across railway.
Inside seating area was also very large and good to come with group or family gathering.
Latte was great and deep strong flavour.
It was almost closing time but staff were very kind and seated comfortably.
I took one of pretty delicious fresh red velvet muffin home and it was light sweetness with rich butter cream in between.
I will come back to try some more.
Friendly cafe, great location for functions. The crispy poached eggs was mediocre but the pulled pork eggs Benedict was amazing! Serves decent coffee too
The staff were super friendly and helpful getting us an umbrella for our table as we were sat in the sun with our 1 year old. The coffee is great, the menu interesting but not over complicated and the food was delicious. Great ambience, particularly on a sunny day.
Bloody Mary was nice and spicy too.
Good place to take kids with books for them and colouring pens etc also plenty of space (great outdoor space) and friendly staff. Food is well done only negative comment is there is nothing overly exciting on the menu.
Staff were very friendly. Amazing coffee. The food was great and the atmosphere nice. Enjoyed the outdoor seating area. Bit pricier than other places but would come again
Been here a couple of times, now its time to rate. If your into going somewhere beautiful and classy, its likely the owner will welcome you as a Gold Coin, so dont go here. If your looking for something local, cool, open, and friendly to all that enter no matter who you are, then this is the place for you. They also support local businesses. From what I see, it could be a heritage listing, so they have done their best to liven it up. They have a large area to sit so casual meetings large groups of friends, or prospective employees, etc would be good. I didnt order food this time, but their food is delicious, and presentation is definitely worth intstagrammable. I ordered a soy latte with 2 sugars from the Cool Guy Serving with the Cool voice and Cool personality. Coffee came out HOT, and it wasnt bad. Not the absolute best Ive had, but GOOD ENOUGH and well worth the cost.
Will definitely be back with an Army.....
Randomly found this place near the train tracks and what a find. Cool layout and friendly staff. I had the sweet corn & manchego croquettes and my +1 had middle eastern breakfast. Washed all of this down with some delicious cold brew coffee.
Probably the best eggs Benny I've ever had!! Nothing to complain about and just hoping it will always be on the menu! The granola was really nice too. Will definitely return again:)
It was a long weekend day off. I was craving to get my hands of this cafe. It was such a great place however we should wait to get our table. After 15-20 minutes, we finally got our table! We ordered chai latte, iced coffe, iced lemon tea Wagyu burger, Pulled pork eggs benedict, Curried crab scramble and sweet corn & Manchego croquettes. The food was really good! We talk until our food was all gone. The vibes and the ambience was exciting and calm. However i think due to the lack of the staff, it really hard to get on touch or get help from the staff. Overall it was a good experience for me! #BHAsFoodDiary
First time coming to Lux Foundry with my friend. Thr resturants has a really live vibe around and thr service was really friendly and attentive. That's what really gives a good feel when you come to a restaurant for the very first time. Got seated very quickly on a Saturday busy morning I was very impressed. While waiting for my friend I ordered chai latte which is my favourite coffee due to can't take caffeine for my stomach. It came very quickly to come and every place I go I get disappointed with the way coffee shop makes they chai latte. Normally it always comes so blend and no chai taste. However I was so impressed with Lux! Chai was very aromatic and delicious.
I wanted to order the crispy crab but unfortunately it was old out so plan B i ordered the pull pork with eggs and my friend ordered a potato type dish forgot the name of it. Both dish looked delicious and very good presentable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Lux
Lux Foundry is one of the many lovely brunch places in Brunswick. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious, lots of wonderful healthy options. Great portions & prices.
TIP: Do order the house made granola & yogurt panna cotta!

Really love the outdoors area at Lux. They have very friendly staff and amazing coffee! I would stringly reccomend getting their falafels or the crusted pouched egg!
Crispy Poached Eggs is something you don't usually read on a cafe menu so i pounced at the opportunity and ordered it and threw in a side serve of avocado. Firstly i have to say the space here is top class, very impressive modern cafe set in a stunning industrial Building with plenty of north facing outdoor seating. We were a large party of 6 and two of us ordered the crispy eggs. When the meals arrived i noticed my friend had double the amount of avocado on his plate. One of my pet hates is inconsistency in portion sizes so instead of sulking, i pointed this out to one of the wait staff and low and behold and extra serve of avo arrived at the table. This resulted in a very happy me! The crumbed eggs were delicious, perfectly cooked with a crispy outside (can i say crispy is what i got) and when combined with the avo, asian salad and a tad of the sweet chilli jam, all the flavours worked well. My only criticism is way too much jam which wouldn't worry me usually but because it was quite thin, it ran into my salad and avo. A thick jam would hold its place on the plate. To sum up, everyone enjoyed their meals and the coffee was excellent. I loved my experienced here and will be back.
Great spacious place for weekend brunch. With both and indoor and outdoor space it’s great to take families and even pets.
We had the pulled pork Benedict which was tasty but a little bit too salty on its own and the cheesy croquette and chorizo which was delicious!
I had brunch here. There is a great courtyard space in the sun, w plenty of seating. Inside this old foundry, think warehouse style is huge.
The service was quick initially for my coffee then slowed down when I wanted to order. My coffee was good, thank you.
For brunch I had the pulled pork w egg benedict. I didn’t realise that the dish was served on a potato hash brown or a potato rosti.
The pulled pork was great but salty and dry w/o the benedict sauce. The eggs were perfect 5/5.
The potato hash brown or rosti was really good but not what I was expecting or hoping for really. I wanted toast but you can’t always get what you want ... hahahaha
Overall this was a good brunch. I only have 1 negative, and that is that this place charges you to use EPTPOS! A whopping 1.75%!!
Good dishes, mix western and eastern, pork belly bao is so cute and the juice is so fresh that the bee want to drink as well. Good cafe in Brunswick
Great service and lovely menu. I had the Mediterranean breakfast and it was full of flavour and delicious. Eggs were poached nicely. The ‘special’ iced tea was subtly sweet and refreshing. Would recommend and would come back.
Food coffee ambience is always great here. Just wish the staff were a little more engaging. I know I’m being picky but this is my local. I’m at lux almost every other day. One day they may ask how I’m going? Nevertheless will keep going for good quality food and coffee.
Very nice location for a sunny day to eat outside, but also super stylish interior.
The food and coffee is pretty average though (and I really missed some vegetable or salad options on the menu), but the atmosphere makes up for it.
Came here on a Saturday for lunch, I had wanted to try their popular spiced gingerbread but it ran out (even though it was only 1pm!) so I opted for their French toast. The espresso mascarpone and spiced pear that came along with it were quite nice. The pork belly bao(s) is a rendition of the Wonderbao - not bad but doesn’t quite match its counterpart. And I was kind of disappointed it didn’t come with any sides. I also got an iced tea, which I couldn’t quite remember what it was because there wasn’t much taste to it and I had to call for some sugar syrup to spice it up.
Lux can do a bit better.
Came to look at engagement party venues and ended up also indulging in brunch - I reckon that's got to be the best use of the saying 'killing two birds with one stone'! Lux Foundry can be found tucked away in Brunswick's factory district but don't be fooled...it is much more than just an old warehouse.
Nice chic industrial layout with good brunch food. Good variety and pretty good service.
Bit hard to find but nice place to come with friends on a Sunday.
Awesome coffee and food. Loved the aesthetic and big open spaces. Had some communication issues with the staff but I didn’t let that get in the way of good food and coffee. To sum it up, the service could have been better!
Great service, quick and efficient! Nice atmosphere. Food was delectable. The pulled pork eggs benedict 🙌. Hit the spot, as did the bounty smoothie. Back to try some others for sure.
Lux Foundry is a located in Brunswick in a large warehouse converted into a cafe. There is a large courtyard at the front where you can enjoy breakfast and lunch with your furbabies. The food at Lux was absolutely delicious and the service definitely on point. We love the feel of this cafe and love returning. Definitely worth a try!
The Chilli Scramble ($16) was as good as it gets, the eggs whipped to a creamy, glistening gold. The chilli was mild, but in combination with the fresh Asian herbs, gave the eggs a bright earthiness. On the other hand, I wasn’t a big fan of the chilli jam or the soy pickled mushrooms, as they seemed to fit rather haphazardly with the rest of the dish. Still, it was nothing that 3 sizzling rashers of Andrew’s Choice Bacon ($4.5) couldn’t fix.
A nice place for breakfast. I tried the crispy poached eggs with a side of avocado - the eggs were delicious however the chilli jam on the side was a bit too sweet (less sugar, more chilli please!). It definitely needed the lemony avocado on the side. On a sunny day they have a great courtyard for a drink or two.. unfortunately it was rainy today so I'll be coming back for some courtyard times another day.

The ever-popular Lux Foundry has started a new menu for spring. The large warehouse space has plenty of seating both inside and out, though it’s sometimes still busy enough to require a bit of a wait during peak times. Fortunately it’s possible to book a table.
First time coming to Lux Foundry and it won't be my last time that's for sure. I honestly cannot express how perfect everything was. The coffee was so delicious we ended up ordering another one round of coffee. Now let's talk about the food, probably one of the best I have had. Everything was on point and cooked to perfection, no one of us could fault anything. The serves were decent sizes that none of us felt the need to add any sides and honestly everything was priced reasonably. Lux Foundry is now one of my favourite cafes that I will be visiting regularly.
First visit here. Arrived nice & early at 8am. Coffee is good. I’m told the Lux breakfast roll was tasty. The rice porridge was nice, but personally think it would be a little better with a cinnamon going through the porridge as it would taste too plain if it weren’t for the toppings. It started to get busy around 8.30. Plenty of seats outside with outdoor heaters. Dog friendly.
Loved staying at the balcony with puppy! Friendly staff and pretty looking food. Ordered scrambled egg and crab w/Sourdough, and it wasn't perfectly my style with unexpected herbs smell and texture of bread even though all my other friends enjoyed it. So it's my personal opinion.
But the coffee was THE COFFEE, high quality!
Recommendable and definitely need to book before heading there, esp weekends
I've now been to Lux Foundry three times and am yet to find a dish that's disappointed. This is an extremely well run cafe with efficient service, quality food and is really well laid out with plenty of outdoor & indoor seating options. To top it off, they're also dog friendly, so you can bring your loyal comrade along as well. Perfect!
Food was AMAZING, really tasty, would eat here again in a heartbeat. Short wait for a table but worth it. Filling portions & well presented. Worth the price.
Lattes & hot chocolate also went down a treat.
Lux was pretty good but not great. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, though the bread was unbuttered and was a slightly dry multigrain rather than a nice sourdough. The service was also fairly ordinary, everything seemed like a massive inconvenience. Dirk witnessed a waitress shake her head aggressively at a customer who had slightly obstructed her path, he found it to be quite intimidating and felt that it affected his enjoyment of the eggs. The eggs were cooked nicely.
Absolutely lives up to the hype. Sure it’s a bit expensive but not by a lot. The outdoor seating is super aesthetic. Great place for some really Instagrammable photos. And the food? Exquisite. Chef’s kiss. The coffee? On point. I really wish I got the name of the wonderful lady that served us. She was so kind and a real trooper, working outdoors on a hot summer day with a smile on. Definitely going back. Possibly my favourite brunch spot in Brunswick.
