A really amazing place if you're looking for a very large selection of Mediterranean products, they also have a lot of cooking utensils and cleaning stuff as well, you can very easily cook a lot meals by just shopping here alone, well worth the visit.

Pasta, all kind of pasta, even the rarest type outside Italy (LOL!), olive from various region in Italy, canned sardines, and even more! More than that, I found–then bought–big bottled Perroni and another Italian beer brand, a delicious chill-served Prosecco, big jar of Nutella made in Italy (of course!) all in best price.

Fantastic selection and variety of Italian goods at good price. It includes a ‘corridor of pasta’ with more than 50 varieties of pasta related options (we took the time to count), cheese, olive oils, and all other sort of authentic Italian food ingredients. We were also surprised by their selection of Italian coffee machines of all sizes, pasta machines and other products. And the price is just great being most of the products even cheaper to what you can find at Coles and Wholies. This place is definitely worth a visit with you like to prepare some authentic Italian food at home from time to time.

Italian cuisine lovers will discover that this store will have 80% of your favorite ingredients and items to create a special meal. Plenty of parking in a large lot located behind the store. Park, walk through the alley towards trash container, enter open single doorless pathway leading you to the front of the business. A small Cafe is located inside left; pastries, pies, hot and cold beverages. Pots, pans, croquettes, small to large size batches of your common oils in glass jars, meats, cheeses, bags of various pasta, breads, sauces, baked goods, cleaning supplies and bottles of wine.

Giant Wholesalers on Sydney road in Brunswick for Italian and Spanish groceries, wine, spirits, beer, fresh pasta and dried pasta, fresh baked store bread, coffee, Fresh cheese, cheese wheels, sauces, pasta maker, biscuits, sweets, jams, ceramics, detergent and toiletries products, pots and pans, a cafe in the middle, a Deli in the back. The pricing is good, and inside the cafe they over pastries, sweets and coffee. It you need Mediterranean food, this is the one stop shop to go, there's parking on the main street of Sydney road, and around the corner on Victoria street.

Good Italian wines and cheeses. I’m not really into biscuits etc but if you are it’s nice for that too.

Been going to this amazing establishment for nearly 25 plus years and more so my parents who have been going here for at least 40 years. Thursday the 24th of Feb 2022 was a sad and disappointing day. Not knowing, they changed the small good company. We loved the Princi wide Mortadella, it was one of the best tasting Mortadella ever. The smell was out of this world. We were so disappointed with the Mondo Doro products. The atmosphere has changed, the time we went there used to be a heap of people, but if it was so quiet. We came from the Western Suburbs, and we would easily spend $350-400 on products, but we went home with a tail between our legs. So sad to see this remarkable wholesaler stoop to that level.

We're shopping at Med for almost 14 years now . It has everything you need for an Italian pantry. Not forgetting the seclection of cold meats and cheeses . Staff are amazing and I've been fortunate to get to know them all over the years . Wonderful breads , bread crumbs . Favourite Italian biscuits for breakfast and snacks . Wonderful wines amazing prices and delightful proseccos . If you've lived in Italy , or travelled there , this place is a must for you. An Italian food oasis in Melbourne , like nowhere else I know . Also it's old charm is wonderful , something I hope they will never change .

One special Italiano supermarket shop. One of very few to offer authentic Delicious Italian products. The choices are vast, the wine, the "cheese", ma my waistline. My poor waistline. The sweets the cookware. Something for everyone. Bravo bravo bravo.

The best place for all your continental foods, including Baccala.
Francesca Lo Presti
Very disappointing to find the "annalisa" mushrooms jar already expired. It has been like this for months. Check the expiry date before buying.

This supermarket is just heaven for me. Such fabulous goodies. We go there to buy tomatoes, passata, sundried tomatoes etc. it's fabulous place that I Could get lost in.,
Michela Barisonzi
I usually love it but I bought a cake 2 weeks ago. The expiry date is 01/05/2018 but when I opened it today it was green and moldy..so disappointed..but then I got a phone call from their Customer manager who was very apologetic. I really appreciate it..especially been midday on Easter Sunday. Thanks Andrew. Awesome customer care.

Love it, always go here to get my Italian fix! Well done for a great supermarket!

Great comprehensive selection of genuine European food essentials.

No doubt this place has stranded in time. While their imported products range is superb, the cafe area could have some improvements. The service was as bland as their cake, which it had a rock hard nutella (or similar) ball in the middle of it. The coffee is just meehh.

Mediterranean Wholesalers Brunswick is an institution and has been providing the people of Melbourne all kinds of foods and products from Italy since 1961. As Australia’s largest ‘Continental food store’, this is the place to go if you want to find anything Italian for your kitchen.

Amazing place for very fair priced food imports - probably best priced cheeses and super tasty in Melbourne and great selection of other pastas, tuna, meats, etc. Now to the owners ... I'm begging you .. open a filiale in Sydney.

If you haven’t been here before you need to check it out! Authentic Italian right in the heart of Brunswick on Sydney Road. The range of products is incredible from every time of pasta imaginable to its own deli full of imported meats and cheeses.
Hemi Rakei Reidy
Biggest selection of pasta I've ever seen, great little selection of blue and soft cheese tucked away down the back as well. Also pickle, great deli and Italian alcohol.

I went here today because I have fond memories of the ricotta cannoli. The lady who served me was nice. I ordered one custard cannoli and one ricotta one. I liked the ricotta one but I'm not sure if it was as good as I remember. I was expecting the the custard one to be a nice vanilla custard but it tasted weird I can't even explain what it tasted like but i didn't like it.
Krishna Brannigan
An excursion to an authentic institution in Brunswick. Not only can we buy bread, cheese, pasta and wine, but ricotta cannoli and cakes with pretty decent coffee. I love to shop this way. $8

Good prices but not best quality. Moccachino was one of the best that I've had. Their main focus is on importing good honest Italian products.
Laura Jayne
Probably the cheapest coffee in Melbourne. Decent coffee, great classic cakes and an atmosphere somewhat different to every other cafe in Brunswick. Love the groceries and deli too.
Yasmin Forster
Kinda odd being in the middle of a supermarket however nonetheless it can't be faulted! The Nutella and ricotta tart is divine! Just pretend the calories aren't there...

Great store, Grumpy employees. I have been coming here for many years and the store is great but unfortunately
you rarely get a hello or smile off 70% of the staff, and that includes the family that
owns it. If you want people to come back and give good reviews, please change
the attitude!

Even if I don’t feel like buying anything, I love wandering through this place just to smell the delicious food and hear the tiny nonnas with their perfectly coiffed hairdos chat away in Italian. Coming here is like going on a miniature holiday.

Great store. Great food store, not so great service. Incredibly grumpy checkout chick.
Lucky I'm not there for the service, Get in, get stuff, get out. Love it.

Like a visit to Italy. The best Italian food store in Melbourne. When you drop in to purchase the essentials such as cheese and pasta etc. you must have a coffee and cake. Always served with the spirit of Italian generosity. Wonderful.

Coffee and cake. Great place and highly recommended with its produce to shop for imported goods however the cashiers are rude do not smile or greet you and want you out of there.
Do not have coffee in this place as it is made with no passion and expertise
the old barista has attitude and tries to be intimidating does not care who he is making coffee for and sits on the counter whilst waiting for clients then makes a really bad coffee on the counter where he sat down.
Send him to Barista school and then a Customer Service course!
He should spend more time cleaning the milk frother on the coffee machine which looks like it has never been cleaned and the counter where the coffee is prepared is disgusting and dirty and the coffee is really below standard.
The cakes are great and cheap and I will always support the store but the coffee situation needs to be addressed.

How can the world’s greatest Italian market stuff up coffee?. When I give Med Market a “Dislike” vote, it’s not because I don’t like the store in general. This monumental supplier of todo di alimentari Italiano is one of the culinary wonders of Australia! I went walkabout down its aisles just for old times sake on my recent visit to Oz -- didn’t buy any groceries; I just wanted to see the place again. I did stop for a cappucino and pastry from its bright, shiny coffee and baked goods counters. The glass and brass of them look exactly like so many places in Italy itself. But the coffee stinks (at least compared to Australian standards.) It reminded me of Vancouver coffee -- slightly over-espressed yet somehow weak on coffee flavour, with a faint hint of paper in the taste. It made me flash back to the previous time I had coffee there, circa 2008, with similar disappointing results. The pastry I ate, a “nut roll,” had three things I love -- nuts, chocolate and crust. But it tasted old, not exactly stale, just not fresh. Med Market’s in-house baked goods can be hit-or-miss that way. We’d buy them to take home for dessert sometimes when we lived Down Under, but we’d never know if they’d be any good. The grocery store part is a temple of amazing Italian food -- too bad their coffee and pastry operation can’t match that.

Head to the foodie mecca of Sydney Road for a Italiano Mini Break!! Amongst the wonders of A1 bakery and Albert Street Food and Wine there is a grocers with some of the most amazing Italian produce around. 482 Sydney Road is the destination for pasta, pasta, pasta and more! Get lots in the aisles with artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, porcini, passata and more! Legumes, fregula, cous cous, gnocchi, mozzarella, mushrooms, olives, oils, vinegars and salt cod! Penne, Orecchiette, Spaghetti, Tagliatelle, Fusilli, Maccheroni, Farfalle and Rigotoni… seriously!!
