Wonderful food and friendly staff!!!! Perfect for the family or just a couple of mates :)
Amazing food and taste so fresh, nice environment, friendly staff, Highly recommended.
We’ve been coming here for years. It’s a family favourite. We travel from Williamstown for the delicious food and friendly service.
Great food & Great service!
I cannot recommend this place enough. It's un renovated Decor must deter so many people but I have been coming here for years and each and every time I come the food is always absolutely delicious. Only ever order the banquet so we try everything.
The dips and breads I always say will fill me up, don't eat too much.. but the flavour and freshness of the bread is unbelievable.
Then we hit salads and meats and I cannot fault any of it.
To top it off the lovely owner is always friendly and has a chat with us.
We will be back this week. Keep up the great food :)
We accidentally arrived two hours early for a gig nearby so decided to get some impromptu dinner. I was rather jealous of hubbys plate the meat looked super succulent but he did complain of an over cooked kofte.
My Iskender was quite tasty but I was a bit perturbed to see it being warmed in the microwave right in front of me. Perhaps to heat up the tomato sauce? Either way it did the job and for what I had assumed was a takeaway place was full to the brim with large groups of diners
BEST Turkish food in Australia!!!
Mouthwatering dips, crispy pide bread and superbly cooked meat which melts in your mouth.
So delicious! 5*+++
HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.
The owner and staff are very friendly and go out of their way.
Best kebabs on Sydney rd. Esp. the chicken shish. It’s delicious and affordable. Don’t go there for ambience, go there for a delicious feed.
The set menu/ banquet is the best value and amazing food. You’ll never finish it all. And it comes out quick. Great value for money. Easy to walk in too so bookings aren’t essential and the owner is extremely polite and always up for a chat. There aren’t many places around like this anymore.
Such a good meal. I've eaten adana alot of times but I have to say this was one of the best experiences I've had. The food came out hot and SUPER fresh. The owner was extremely familiar and hospitable and the restaurant was super clean. The adana came on a plate with lamb shish, mince kebab, bread, salad and a grilled tomato and 1 plate was enough to feed 2 people. However, I devoured the entire thing and so did everyone else. Amazing food and service. Will definitely be coming more frequently.
Friendly service, generous servings of main filling, dips and fluffy bread! It was quiet on the night I visited, so it was a bit awkward having to chat and stuff, if that's not your thing. But, the owners are really nice, and the atmosphere is clean and spacious (as opposed to many kebab shops).
This place will always be the one for me. Growing up from a Turkish Migrant family this has been our go to for the past 20 years. Whenever I get my mixed grill cravings I will travel from one side of Melbourne to the other to make sure I have it here. Still can't find an Adana or Iskender in Melbourne that tops this place. The only other place that is on par for Adana kebabs is Katik in campbellfield.
We initially did not intend on going into this resturant but I am sooo thankful that I did. We ordered the banquet and it surely is plenty of food. Great dips that were not overpowered by garlic followed by iskender and shish and a side salad. The meat was out of thos world, so flavourful and soft I literally had to stop myself from eating. Topped off by homely customer service. I will certainly be going again!!
Always fresh food. Good sized serves. If there's a few of you get the Donna Kebab with Yoghurt and Tomato and the half mixed grill with dips. You wont regret it!
Fantastic food. I have been getting takeaway from here for years and it's my favourite place for a mixed grill on Sydney Road (the longest unbroken shopping strip in Australia and in fact the Southern Hemisphere!)
Friendly staff, amazing dips and bread. I personally can't get enough of the Russian dip. And the meat... Delicious and great value.

This is the best Turkish place in Melbourne so far. Every time when I go here, I really enjoy all of dishes. It's also good place and size and staff are friendly.
Amazing! Lots of great food at incredibly reasonable prices. The guy is always lovely and friendly. The food is fresh and SO tasty. Turkish yum yums!!!!!
We have been coming to this place since we meet 18 years ago. We love this place a hidden gem and may it continue

LUV LUV LUV IT!!. I was introduced to this hidden gem 20 years ago when my now wife and I were dating. like other reviews I probably would've driven straight past, but thank god I tried it. We now have three kids and go back every birthday and special occasion. Words cannot describe the amazing food thats plated up especially the full mixed grill, fresh homemade dips and the out of this world home made Turkish bread presented fresh from the wood fired oven upon arrival. Simply the best in an abundance of Middle eastern eateries. No frills, no pretense, just great food at a great price. Do yourself a favour, don't go past this one.
Not much of a swish environment but the food is unbeatable!! The best Turkish out!
Great value Turkish. With so many Turkish places in Brunswick Andanali still stands out. This has been my regular Turkish for a few years and I've found the food consistently high quality. The menu is fairly basic and doesn't change but what Adanali does, it does well.
Great food. I was introduced to this place by a friend. I'll admit I probably wouldn't have been tempted if I was left to my own devices as the look of the place is not terribly inspiring.
Having eaten there many times now and never been disappointed with the meals (although the Russian Salad is fairly uninspiring) I feel comfortable recommending this place for a great value and great-tasting meal.
I will say that the service can leave something to be desired on occasion (perhaps a little slow sometimes and there can be a language barrier to overcome), but I've never felt a need to complain. The guy who does all the cooking is a nice bloke.
The dips situation at Adanali is almost worth the visit on it's own. You order either a small or large plate of your chosen dip (mine would almost always be the Cacik) and they bring you a bowl of piping hot pide bread. Then, when you run out of bread they bring you more. (I've never gone through more than 1 and a half bowls of the bread, even with a group). It's delicious.
The rest of the menu, while relatively short, covers the gamut of the expected Turkish foods you'd expect. I typically go a mixed grill (although I substitute the adana kebab for something else - more due to personal taste than there being something wrong with it) and I've never had a problem with the food.
Highly recommended if you're after a good meal for not too much cash.
