Amazing food, butter chicken was fantastic. It was the best butter chicken we have had so far. And we eat a lot of Indian food it seemed to ve marinated which made the flavour really get in there.
We love this establishment! Whenever there is a need for takeaway in our house this is our immediate choice. The Dahl is scrumptious, the naan is great and my partner will consistently order the butter chicken. Thanks so much for a great place in Coburg.
Consistently great. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and fast service make it worth dining in if you're after a quick bite.
Try the Tawa lamb! Rich flavours and a good bit of spice. Royal E Punjab is one of the standouts in the area I reckon.
Absolutely surprised at how good the food was. The chaat was incredible and the main course to match. The mango lassi was the perfect finish to the meal. This is easily one of the best Indian food restaurants in Melbourne. Will definitely come here again.
Zomato is notorious for snobbish critics, only 3.3 stars? . This place just served me THE BEST Indian food via Uber eats. The curry was flavour rich and had a good zing to it. Some nan bread with the herbs and butter that was one of the signature dishes was absolutely amazing. Oh where have you been Royal Punjab!
Am slowly working my way thru the menu but everything i have tried here has been absolutely delicious. The staff are always friendly and have a ready smile, the chef does an amazing job pumping out consistently good food.
One of the best indian restaurants north of the city 👍
One of our favourite Indian places to eat in Melbourne. The food is great value, the staff are friendly and helpful and it has a good ambiance. Then there is the food... Very flavourful and tasty food cooked fresh with a lot of complexity to the dishes. If you like your spices they can really turn up the heat if requested without losing the different
flavours. They have some vegan dishes and can also adjust some of the vegetarian dishes to cater for vegans so we had quite a few choices. Our favourites are the Aloo Baingan and the Dhal Makhani. Highly recommend Royal E Punjab if you are looking for flavoursome vegan Indian options!
I am a regular at this place and would have seen the lows and highs.
Located at Moreland+Sydney road, the restaurant is easy to find
As far as my experience goes - it is as Punjabi as it gets. I have interacted with owners who live the warmth of Amritsar - their home town. Very nice and accommodating.
Food is usually rich and they are happy to make it light should you insist. All curries are original and Tamarind Chutney is a bonus.
Amritsari Kulcha, Paneer Tikka Masala are recommendations from my side!
One of the best Indian restaurants in Melbourne!!
If you are looking for real Indian flavours in your curries, Indo- Chinese, kulchas etc etc this is surely the place not to be missed!
Me and mates have enjoyed it so much that I have been here 3 times already in past 10 days!
Amazing! ❤️ really affordable and awesome flavours! Lots of vegetarian options, good portions and super friendly staff. My new favourite Indian restaurant.
Always d best food..No matter what food you order it will always be d same Indian flavor. Have been to so many indian restaurants. But when you eat here it gives you the closest Indian flavor
Bought take away from here for the first time tonight. Best palak paneer I've eaten! Lots of paneer and a delicious creamy spinach sauce. Thumbs up for the chicken makhani too!
Fantastic indian food! We were visiting Melbourne, our hotel was nearby and we had such yummy dishes, very good service at amazing price! The whole family enjoy the food, especially the chicken tandoori, korma lamb and the chicken tikka masala! It's not a fancy place but the food is just great! We had the mango lassi, a yogurt drink, so good!
Royal E Punjab is the best option for cheap and tasty Indian food in Brunswick or Coburg. Food is authentic and the serving sizes are generous. Great selection of dishes but as the name suggests they are mainly North Indian. Try the Palak Paneer or the Bombay Beef. Would eat here again (I eat here at least once a week).
If you don't know already, most of the indian food in australian restaurants is actually punjabi. this restaurant takes standard punjabi dishes and cooks them to perfection. they also have an extensive chaat menu which is hard to find in melbourne. (chaat are unique roadside snacks, kind of like indian tapas.)
the dhal makani had a proper dhaba smokiness to it. the bel puri was delicious and only $5. the culcha was expertly cooked in a tandoor. the service was friendly and they gave us free dessert.
the decor is questionable but the food is amazing. highly recommended if you want to try some dishes you can't find anywhere else (outside of India and Clayton!)
Awesome food and service was excellent.Keep it up guys.

Just found this place and very happy with the food so far.
Malai Kofte and Butter Paneer are both absolutely delicious. Would have liked a bit more paneer in the Butter Paneer. Didn't get very many pieces. Paneer 65 was pretty bland, ended up just tossing it in with the Butter Paneer. Probably won't order it again though.
Naans are a really nice size for the price.
Will definitely be getting our curries from here from now on. Looking forward to trying some other items on the menu.
Staff are also very friendly.
Good food
Shahee paneer, paneer butter masala, and khadai paneer

Review is based on Uber Eats experience.
