Dood328 - Brunswick - Photo album

Despite the mixed reviews recently I wanted to experience this place for myself. Wedged between two trendy spots, this place is reminiscent of the old school cafes. The Egyptian Poached Eggs consisted of two steaming and slightly over-poached eggs, resting on a pumpkin and potato rosti, served with
Breakfast with champions at Dood328: Chia Bircher, fruit toast and soy cap.
Bacon and eggs were delicious.... Gluten free options available. Check out the booths in the back with the cool comic books wall paper.
Tasty coffee and friendly staff. The seats on the street get lovely sunshine in the morning
Giving the stars for delicious home made crumpets, caramelised fig preserve, great toast and addictive real proper jam. Love the sunny front, though if you want a retro booth situation that is also the go.
Finally got to visit Dood where's my car in Brunswick. Nice little cafe, but with some comfy seating and even a few booths for larger groups. Service was pretty solid considering there was a first day trainee on the floor. Coffee was OK. Little too hot. Food was pretty good. Had a lot of interestin
Went to go to Ray's next door, but it was insanely packed and the staff were a wee bit cranky (public holiday blues presumably.) Dood328 offered an oasis, an almost empty space despite people spilling out from next door. I'm really shocked more people don't give the Dood a chance when Ray's is busy
Ordered via Deliveroo. Haloumi and Freekah salad was only half the ingredients advertised. Dressed with a bland oil, no trace of citrus. There was no cranberries at all and a teaspoon of Freekah at most. Decent amount of haloumi, apple and walnuts at least, but overall very disappointing.
