Review Sushi Sushi - Brunswick

Sulio Mustedanagic
I used to get my lunch here every day. Of late I’ve had salmon in my packs with skin still on the fish and an ever more amount of cucumber replacing the avocado. Not sure if it’s a measure to save costs or just being sloppy. I’ll give them a miss from now on. It’s a pitty as they have a great location. I don’t think the franchise as a whole would appreciate these tactics.

The Asian lady on the reception was extremely rude. I asked for extra soy sauce and she replied “inside already”, and I clarified that I wanted a bit more, and she flicked the extra packets onto the counter, didn’t make eye contact and walked away immediately.

Maybe they take their customers presence for granted since they're always busy, but the service was bad and the staff were rude. Sushi now costs far too much for me to want to go back and be faced by unpleasant staff.

This place must have new owners. Sure it is just a shopping mall sushi store, so you don't expect anything great but the food is inedible and the staff are so rude/haven't been trained. Disappointing.

Terrible customer service! Most of girls working there are very rude and not responding to your requests! No ginger, no chopsticks! Really! Did not expect such a customer service from sushi sushi! If I had knew how unresponsive they are, I would never have wasted my time to check this kiosk at all. Having said that, I haven’t experienced similar behaviour form the other branches!

Tried 4 different sushi rolls. None of them had any flavour. Wasabi is green sludge.

Ok taste but their hand rolls are 8cm in length when the standard is 9cm. Also on the pricier side for a hand roll. A sneaky way to increase the profit but really just short changing the customer. Not impressed.

My partner and I both ordered avocado & salmon rolls from Sushi Sushi Barkly Square on 20/02/22 noon and subsequently had food poisoning a few hours later. I've reported it to the council. Would avoid this place

My favourite sushi chain is Sushi Sushi. The sushi here is so fresh and they seem to be killing it here so basically my roll is made to order! Great service, tables are cleared quickly and there is always soy sauce bottles on the tables!

Clean, fresh, and thick slices of salmon sashimi. Good portion of rice and the fillings.
So good and i definitely will come back to this place!

This place is good if you are in a rush to get food. In my opinion, the sushi is quite over priced, about $3 per roll. If this place was cheaper, it would be great to grab a quick, cheap bite!

Would recommend the salmon avo sushi and the chicken teriyaki roll. The only thing I would say not to order is the seafood salad, the lobster and crab was very fake. I would recommend it if you are looking for some lunch or a snack.

K: Before you judge yes I ate this meal in my car. No I am not lonely I was moving my car closer to the shopping centre and it rained so I stayed. With the defence of my pride and ego out of the way let's get onto business!

Service and value were very very average as expected of a franchise like Sushi Sushi. But with that being said the quality and taste of the sushi is perhaps why there are so many of them out there. Very good. Clean, tasty, yummy and fulfilling with just the right amount of sauce, Sashimi and cooked rice. I really enjoyed the hand rolls and have even discovered that they do 90 pieces of Sashimi for $57... An investment Emily and I will happily reflect upon soon.

Come here in Barkly Square for a nice sushi fix on your lunch break.

Food: 4/5
Ambience: n/a
Service: 2.5/5
Value: 3/5

Overall: 3.5

Amidst the bustle of shoppers, Sushi Sushi is conveniently located in the centre of Barkly Square. Perfect for grabbing a snack or healthy meal. Plenty of seating is also available if you have a few moments to sit and enjoy your sushi.

I frequent this and other Sushi Sushi places (CBD doncaster, highpoint, vic gardens) and this one is a bit on the skimpy side of things. Their spicy tuna is not as spicy as the others Sushi Sushi locations, neither is their wasabi and on occasions I've had to ask them to make fresh ones. Also they have limited options while others have more variety.

Well maintained SUSHI SUSHI.

I had the Tuna and Veggie Sushi . Was satisfactory. Staff members are quite relaxed and clean ambiance..

Highly recommended.
