Review Brunswick Burger Buzz - Brunswick

Samuel Dow
Burgers and beer bar? There was only one beer tap working and absolutely no good beer in the fridge (see photo). VB, really? The smell of the place was also overwhelmed by that distinct stale 'need to change the oil in the deep fryer' stink. Burger was average and chips tasted like the air smelled. As for customer service, oh my gosh! The guy on front counter was more casual and matey than a drunk teenager at a dodgy nightclub. Safe to say, won't be back

Great little burger & brew hangout! The happy hour burgers pulled us in from the sidewalk, and we were not disappointed! The fries were awesome, and the servings are healthy. The owner/bartender was great. The live band had just finished playing for the afternoon when we got there.
Xavier Anthony
Friendly staff, however food was extremely average. The only good part of the meal was the fries. Those I would recommend. The burgers however, for starters the chicken wasn't even real, they were processed crumbed fillets. Extremely disappointing. The condements added little flavour, and the buns were very tasteless and unexciting. Also the music playing was very depressing country music. Really disappointed in our experience, I hope they pick up their game food wise because the venue could be quite decent.

Avoid! Ordered a shrimp burger, they had no shrimp which is fine by me, but the owner/manager didn't even care to tell me because he knew we were taking away! I would have been satisfied with a simple: "we don't have shrimp, sorry" but instead he tried to be sneaky. When I called up (after like 10 attempts, I mean what kind of take out place doesn't pick up the phone?) the manager was blunt and rude. The food itself is pretty sub par too, so regardless of the terrible service, don't waste your time

Not sure of all the bad ratings... i go to this place all the time. Amazing chips and burgers. Takeaway is quick but if u want to eat in place has a nice chilled vibe, and cheap jugs! Friendly service during peak times (on weekends and nights) but during the weekdays place seems to be understaffed - perhaps all the bad ratings?

I ordered a "well done" burger to end my long weekend. Took one bite and nearly vomited. Burger patty was RAW, mince was still cold like it had just been taken out if the fridge. Pineapple tasted like it was fermenting in the juice it had been sitting in. I am appalled at what I received tonight, I sincerely hope no one else has to go through this...

Bought a steak "burger", basically a warm sandwich with the tiniest piece of ham and cheap white bread from coles or something, the burger was also missing egg and had zero taste. Fries for two was barely a serving for one and most tasteless watery fries I've ever had. All this for some $35. wouldn't have paid $20 if I knew what would be delivered.

The owner of this venue is riding one long power trip. Treats his employees with no respect, no gratitude, nothing. Reflects back on him EXTREMELY negatively as a human being. Also makes his restaurant look incredibly bad. He should be ashamed of his repulsive behavior. If this his how he treats his workers in front of customers then I can only imagine how they must be treated outside of the public eye. Other than that, average food at above average prices. Avoid.

Pretty standard burger, wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. Staff where quite unfriendly and made myself and family feel unwanted.

Sometimes the worst eating choices ( it certainly wasn't my preference ) are made when you're hot, bothered & really hungry ! The musty smelling venue with it's hotch potch junk shop_esque interior was as bland and tasteless as my yank tank double beef burger which I only ate a 3rd of , the rest I took home with half of the " BBQed " chicken wings , for my dog !

#toomanyburgershops<br/>In an over saturated market, you've got to be serving something with a point of difference and I couldnt find anything here that would suggest otherwise. Classic bun is more like a coles dinner roll and the meat pattie was tasteless in my burger. Would not return, can cross off my list

Another review to tell you how bad the food is and how much you should avoid wasting your money here. Copy paste copy paste. Just don't bother

We got a deal on Groupon. We couldn't eat in because of a function, which is fair enough, but when we finally got home and opened our burgers they severely undercooked one patty and gave us one wrong burger. Just get a burger with the lot from the fish and chip shop. However the chips are nice, and that's the only thing we enjoyed for the meal.

I only stopped in for a quick burger to wait out a 2.5x Uber surge. Worst burger I ever had. No taste. I asked for salt and pepper to season it and they said they didn't have any. Explains a lot.

Loved the decor, vibes of the place, and food was tasty. Loses a bit due to the long wait on burgers, though we did make a large and off menu order. Patty was succulent and fitting, working well with the bacon and cheese. Together a bit messy but got through it just fine. Chips were perfect. Conclusion: wait time and messiness of the burger are only downfalls.

Thought I'd be hard out trying to find a terrible burger place in Melbourne but Lo and Behold this is it. Service was terrible, the beer below average and the burgers... well extremely underwhelming - sloppy, grisly. McDonalds does a better job.
Yudong Xiao
Terrible waiting time. There were less than 10 people and I waited for 40mins just for 2 burgers. Have no idea how this happened. Not recommend. Never come again.
Ryan Wagenvoort
After finding burger buzz on groupon we were excited for what seemed to be a great deal to start our afternoon. Unfortunately we did not realise it would become the main event. When the burgers finally arrived after a 50 minute wait they were average at best. Would never recommend or visit again, service is inexistent
Amos Rojter
I like the rustic decor, but you get what you pay for here. Chips were cold, the bun of the burger was stale, and the patty was very bland. The bathrooms are also pretty nasty!
Luke Markof
A few months ago we had ordered some burgers and fries for delivery and not only did it take nearly 2 hours for the delivery, when our food arrived the burgers had clearly been sitting under heat lamps and were dried out, rock hard and flavourless. The fries were cold and soggy. When we called, there was no explanation, no real apology. Quite a disappointment.

This place is pretty rubbish.Went here for lunch on a weekday. I was surprised that there was absolutely no one in the venue, which speaks volumes about the venue, in hindsight. The guy at the register seemed friendly, but oddly flustered and utterly incompetent. He was running around like a chicken with its head cut off, taking his sweet time getting our menu's and taking our order, which I could not understand because there was literally NO ONE but a creepy old man in the entire restaurant. My friend and I ordered two veggie burgers (I the Veg Out and her the Eastern Promise) with a large fries and sweet & spicy relish (we had to order the fries separately because, despite the burgers being $12-$14, they don't come with fries!)We were waiting for 30 minutes before our fries came out. It was a ridiculously small serve, and the flustered cashere/waiter forgot our relish. When we asked him about this and he returned 5 minutes later with a coffee cup full of mayo and ran into the kitchen before despite me calling after him.He brought out our burgers 10 minutes after the fries (40 minutes in total after ordering). The burgers were pretty sub par. The patty on mine was deep fried and slightly burnt. There was a LOT of iceburg lettuce, and not much else in terms of flavor. It honestly tasted a bit like a McChicken burger from Mcdonalds, but with a potato croquette instead of the chicken.Melbourne has a pretty good burger scene, and this place just wasn't on point.Oh, and we also managed to get hold of the flustered man and ask for the relish that we ordered. I'm pretty sure it was just tinned salsa that he slapped on a plate.  There wasn't anything "sweet" or "spicy" about it.So yeah, sage advice: DON'T eat here. The decor looks cool, but the the service is slow, the food is rubbish, the menu is outdated and you'll leave feeling irritated at the sheer stupidity of this lousy restaurant
Justine La
Really not that great<br/><br/>The place was nice and spacious, but incredibly dirty. The table we sat at was sticky, and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. <br/><br/>Waitress was nice, but she kept forgetting our order despite having a pen and pad to take it down. <br/><br/>Food was just really not that great at all. I wouldn't bother coming here again, there's plenty of other burger joints around that are much better.
Foodie1
Used to love this place but recently it has slipped dramatically. The burgers keep coming out cold.. We never ever seem to get our chips with our burgers which seem to come out 5mins later. Burgers are still tasty. Service is terrible and I mean terrible no matter the day of the week no matter how busy. Wish I could rate this higher
Must Be Hungry
I am more and more exploring the Sydney road's food scene and today was Brunswick Burger Buzz turn. I ordered a pot of Colonial Pale Ale, a Yank Tank and a side of chips (all up $26.50). Now, the Yank Tank is supposed to have double beef, double american cheddar, bacon, bbq sauce and mustard. Mine also had pickles and mayonnaise. The buns were not right, the patties were tasteless, the bacon was not crispy and 3 sauces all together just doesn't work. The chips, well they were too salty and no issues with the beer. Unfortunately I cannot justify $16.00 for that burger when I had monster tasty burgers for less than $15.00 in the same city. Maybe it was a bad day in the kitchen, I don't know, hopefully it was a once off situation so give it a go 😊<br/><br/>Follow us on Instagram @MelbourneBanquet 😊

Eating here made me sadder than when my dog Sammy died. This place is a blight on the Brunswick landscape. We can only hope a grease fire in the kitchen burns the place down, preferably while the owner is in there. Worst. Burger. Ever.
Jessica
Burgers aren't the best but not too bad. Their sliders are not your typical sliders, they're legit a burger cut in half. So you get half a burger if you order a slider haha. I've tried the eastern promise and Veg out burger. Both times the buns were soggy. The eastern promise has a hint of curry in where as the Veg out burger is just a normal boring veggie patty, it's not crispy or anything. Just plain and warm. Service is quite slow, more of a chill and have a beer place
Alexandrea
I took my brother here tonight as I've been before (ages ago) and that time it was pretty good, tonight though different story! <br/>My bro ordered some massive burger and I ordered a slider... He ate his in about 30 seconds as growing men do and I ate mine as I usually do, took the top off ( don't want to eat too much bread ☺️) ate the chicken and bacon and was excited to eat the tomato lettuce and mayo on the bottom half of the bun, I picked it up to eat and noticed it was growing mould.. Not a lot but still had mould.. 😑 it happens I get that, I've worked in hospitality as a chef 12 years now everyone makes mistakes and thing can get through unnoticed at times... <br/>I took it up to the waitress and just told her politely that my bread had mould growing she pretended she didn't know what mould was and then took it to the chef... <br/>She then came to the table with another roll from the same batch she says and asked if I wanted to check it.. I didn't have an issue just wanted to let them know that the bread I got had mould. She continued on and accused me of eating half my meal then complaining so I didn't have to pay for the food. I continued to say I am happy to pay for it that's not my issue and it just totally blew out, her saying she has been in hospo 6 yrs she sees this stuff all the time and continuing on about how I didn't want to pay... She was totally rude and unacceptable behaviour from a waitress who at the start said she didn't know what mould was but worked in hospo 6 yrs.. Amazing! <br/>It went on and on, my brother was still eating his chips and she went to take then from him, I said he was still eating and she spoke back and said what he is still eating them after you found mould in your food.. As I explained chips are completely different from bread and he is a guy he wouldn't have cared either way.. We went to pay I still didn't want anything taken off the bill but it just went on and on, her attitude is disgusting with the worst customer service I've ever seen. <br/>From the start I never told them because I wanted free food, I told them so they knew because if I had of served mouldly bread I would want to know... But when you come to the customer accusing them of something like that it won't end well... <br/>

I really don't understand why this place has received such negative reviews. I thought the burgers were delicious and the house beer was fantastic. We had a groupon voucher but I had a look at the menu prices and they were completely normal! The guy that served us was so welcoming and easy going, he even chased after us down the street when I accidently left my sunglasses on the table. I will %100 be back!
Carlos Rodriguez
i had the dis-pleasure of dining in a completely disgusting and disrespectful environment. The food was bland soggy and terrible, I will say that staff were very friendly and hospitable despite such dire circumstances. Todd the managers complete disregard to staff and customers in general was completely appalling, Todd who I've found to be a pathological liar as a friend who has assured me he actually owns "Burger Buzz" and is to embarrassed to tell the general public, It leaves me with a harsh feeling that he is hiding and stealing from people as he won't admit ownership. all in all it left me with the feeling i had dined at a Food Stand in Bali's markets apart from the price. Most likely won't be returning.
Laura
don t go there! very bad experience! it was very slowy and when  we were waiting we saw a small rat in the restaurant.... after that the burger it was bad and the beer very expensive finalley it s not that it said  at the entry!

Place was almost empty when we entered at 6.30pm on a Saturday and didn't really gain any more patronage over the next hour. Probably good reason.<br/>Staff unhelpful, not quite rude, but didn't go out of their way to smile or assist (particularly the senior member there) Limited range of burgers, and although I was happy with the choice of drinks (beer), my partner could not get a wine, only softdrink. She settled on a warm bottle of tap water offered by the staff.<br/>Burgers are overpriced and average ingredients particularly the buns, although we were both happy with the chips. Although the lack of patronage, it still took half an hour for the burger to be delivered to our table.<br/>I will go elsewhere in the future, there are so many excellent burger places on the vicinity for the same price.

This was another Groupon try out for the youngling and I. After a dramatic (& frustrating) afternoon at the airport, simplicity and ease was a much needed option for dinner. Burger Buzz was deemed that answer. <br/><br/>After quickly being served we took our seats awaiting our beverages to be served. The house beer was fresh and crisp and an ideal accompaniment to the forthcoming burgers. <br/><br/>After a seemingly short period our meals arrived. The first impression was positive, these burgers were huge! The chips were crisp and nicely seasoned. The patty was fresh and tasty and all the ingredients melded nicely with the burger. <br/><br/>The owner was friendly and easily chatted about his baby. This was a great find and their advertised specials ($10 jugs of house beer on Fridays) make this one venue to keep in the file for future meeting points. <br/><br/>We look forward to returning. Amazed that this place isn't more actively populated.

Burgers ($13 each) literally made us sick. Had one bite, threw up and threw the rest of the burger in the bin. Enough said. Avoid this place at all costs.
Jazmine Cameron
Great venue, homely chilled vibe, friendliest owner, legend, free drink with burger amazing!!! Will be back!!! Would love to stay for longer!!! Thank you!!!

Always had good experiences with this place. Friendly staff, really great burgers, good music, doesn't take to long to receive your meal. Dine here at least once a week.
Swanny87
We have been coming to this place for a while now , the food is always good and the staff are pretty good too. <br/>$10 jugs are a big plus and the Philly cheese steak is amazing

Worst burgers in Melbourne! Save your money and buy Coles sausages you'll have a better time. <br/>The staff- actually the owner I think, made me uncomfortable and I witnessed the chef smoking just outside the back door and did NOT wash his hands before returning to cooking the slime they serve as food.

Wish this place would get it together and be the rocking burger place it should be -or sell it to Grill'd and be done with it. The guy who runs it or works often is actually quite lovely but you can tell the food is made with no love at all. I've given it a few go's. I had a decent-ish burger once. It's a bummer because the restaurant is very comfortable, the guy behind the bar seems really nice, it has a killer space out the back. Talk about potential lost. Oh well.
Zoe Robbins
I'll make this quick - I'd rather have KFJ for dinner. Very disappointing. Burger is small and falls apart in your hand. My burger was topped with plastic cheese as well. I feel robbed. Don't waste your money!!
The burgers were pretty meh. The music and decor are cheesy as hell (Oh look an old bicycle on the wall!! Never seen that before...) not to mention it's freakin gross. Seriously I asked for cutlery once and I got a knife and fork and I swear they had freakin FOOD still stuck to them. What the hell is going on back there? I really want to know. And what the hell am I supposed to do to a large burger using a sandwich knife anyway? Probably the biggest fail in history.
Jane Kanowna
Not pretty sure how this place still open. They say it´s focuses on all-natural, grass fed beef when the minces are from safeway across the road as everything he serves. There is no staff because he doesn´t pay anyone. You shoudn´t support this kinda people... there are much better places to eat in Sydney road.  And also... you should see the kitchen... so gross...
David Morris
I could write all day about how bad this place is. But the fact is they aren't worth the time or the effort, a view shared by these guys towards their customers if last night was anything to go by. <br/>Worst. Burger. Ever.

DON'T EAT HERE - RUN BY WELL KNOWN CON, DOESN'T PAY STAFF, COMPLETELY UNSCRUPULOUS, OWNER IS ONLY TOO HAPPY TO CATER TO (CHEAP) UNDERAGE DRINKING, DO NOT EAT HERE

This place didn't just slightly fail it compelled me to go out of my way to download this app to write a review. <br/>Both (hot mumma and the other burger of which he have manged to thankfully forget) were terrible. <br/><br/>Where to begin. <br/><br/>Both burgers were so overly dripping with mayo and their sauces that the first port of call was deconstructing them to make them palatable. The buns were soggy and disgusting and we could barely taste anything beyond the mush that they claim to be a burger.<br/>I'll be suprised given that burgers are now becoming cousine more than fast food that BBB will be open within the next few months.<br/><br/>Do yourself a favour, it would be better to go down the road to maccas (and eat plastic food) then eat here. Avoid at all costs. <br/><br/>The one in my rating is only for the cider. At least it was cold. <br/>
KatMmm
We visited here on Sunday afternoon for the $10 jug deal. Unfortunately the only alcohol available was the house beer, tequila, brandy and whisky, which explained why the venue was empty. Regardless, the staff was really lovely and apologetic.<br/>We grabbed some hot chips, which were great! But the spicy salsa ($1 extra) was not particularly spicy or seasoned. <br/>This venue has great potential if they can get their drinks ordering under control.
Mathilda Cameron
The owner of this venue is riding one long power trip. Treats his employees with no respect, no gratitude, nothing. Reflects back on him EXTREMELY negatively as a human being. Also makes his restaurant look incredibly bad. He should be ashamed of his repulsive behavior. This place has really bad service & over priced, the burgers were average nothing special, hungry jacks burgers are better, our onion rings were dark brown virtually burnt.. There was one guy running the whole shop including cooking, worst operation I have ever seen.<br/>Definitely avoid Brunswick Burger Buzz or go to Hungry Jacks its better & that says something. Will never go back..

Bad ppl that own this place- do not support these ppl they owe suppliers money.......................................................................

I'm not sure I can find much good to say about this spot. I suppose if you have enough of the cheap beer you might forget how ordinary the menu is and you even might not mind the surly and slow staff quite so much. But even then you'd be hard pressed not to notice the place's general shabbiness or ignore the blading 'classic' rock that gives it a bogan feel at odds with the location. But perhaps the icing on the whole grubby cake was the pile of rubbish easily visible through the falling down fence at the back of the beer garden, which hardly made me confident about overall hygeine. Seriously, do yourself a favour and go someplace else - it's not like there isn't plenty of other options nearby.

Happy as Larry or Larikin <br/><br/>A bit of Australiana memorabilia ..... It feels like walking into an Australiana museum with all those memorabilia collection inside this vintage building, always an appreciation moment gazing at one's passion.<br/>It's a one off, unique dining place; made up table out of ex-container crates, door panels from different era & styles, bits & pieces hanging around the place and that wrought iron chandeliers. <br/>I must say it can feel a little chaotic with all those stuffs, re-arrangement and tidying up the place might enhanced the enjoyment.<br/><br/>On the Burger side, after a few visits, it was above average and enjoyable, steak cut chips, big buns, good patty, filings, sauces and more hot sauces.   <br/><br/>Beers on tap to go with those Burgers, perfect Friday night easy dinner, or weekends or any nights really, Happy as Larry .... Larikin to be precise.

Please avoid the coffee. Rip off at $4 and doesn't even taste like coffee. We came in for $10 beer jugs. Guess that's the only attraction. I am upset.<br/>
DumplingDoll
If I could score it lower, I would! <br/>Came here with a gf on a Thursday night. Despite the great looking menu, we were very disappointed. <br/><br/>Firstly, I ordered a slider, which wasn't a slider, it was half a dry burger bun with a teeny meat patty inside. The bun was dry and stale and the sweet relish that came w my fries were awful! <br/><br/>My friend had the eastern standard burger, which again the burger was dry and stale, luckily the patty was ok, <br/><br/>They forgot our chip order and when we ask to cancel and get a refund, the waitress didn't even apologise for the slow service - which by the way, the place was empty! <br/><br/>Anyway, I am never coming back, the waitress obviously didn't give a crap and not did those in the kitchen cooking! <br/><br/>
Jesse Vogelaar
Really bad quality for the price you pay. The buns are not fresh, they taste like they're from the supermarket yesterday. The pattie was dry and overlooked. The burgers seemed decent one year ago but the must have changed to cheaper ingredients. By the looks of it, the management would rather call reviewers fraudulent than address their legitimate issues.
Timberr
This place is a joke. Completely disorganised and utterly all over the place.<br/>A mate and I ordered two different beers to go with our burgers and we got the same beer that was not what either of us ordered. When we asked about the beers, we were told that all the tap beers were spurting out one type of beer! They refunded our money on the beers and we bought (safe) bottled beer.<br/>The burgers were gross, and definitely not what you would expect of Brunswick. Iceberg lettuce drowned in mayonnaise, with a dry beef patty on a stale bun that crumbled to tiny pieces at the slightest human touch. Mine came with beetroot the size of a ten cent piece. Will not be back.
Bob
Not sure why this place has bad reviews on here! The service was spot on, as was the burger! If anything the chips were slightly undercooked but still very eatable. I'll be back for sure! Delicious!!!
Renee Garth
We had our Xmas work party her last Friday. There were about 50 of us and the service was slow, and the staff except for one person seemed like they wanted to be anywhere but there. The starters ended up at various tables, some tables got them some didn't. Chips were served in a small bowl for a table of six. Some tables only got one plate of drab sliders and some two plates. Some chips had dipping sauce and some none. There were no plates or napkins on the tables and we used either toilet paper or the tablecloths to wipe our hands. They also brought up Vegan burgers for our vegetarian staff, and just stuck it at another table, and were eaten. The restaurant made more , but it was just a patty stuck in a roll with no salad. The response on Monday from everyone who was there was amazing. The stories all were the same. Most either went home and cooked, or stopped at Macca's for a better meal.  I complained on the website, and got excuses like why didn't I ask for a napkin... I just had water and lemonade on the night and this is part of the response I got from management--Next time you need something try asking instead of getting brave behind the keyboard 2 days after you sober up from a Christmas party.- Seriously,,, this will bring customers back?
Alan Fuentes
Quite possibly the worst burger joint ive been to in a long time. Food was extremely bland and overcooked to the point of being burnt. Premises was extremely unclean. Staff were extremely rude, and when I bought the issues up with the "manager" (not sure if he actually was), all I got was attitude back. Definitely wont be going back.
Howl Higgins-Vestergaard
DO NOT EAT HERE. I worked two shifts at Burger Buzz Brunswick and now in the process of filing an official complaint with fair work Australia as I was dismissed and not even told about it had to go in after not getting an response to my texts for a week too find out and have not been payed for any of the hours I did do work for them.
Gemma Fletcher
Very disappointing from a burger lover, poor quality meat, excessively oily, filthy glasses for drinks and still above average price. Beer garden is embarrassing.
Hania Trzaskowski
Great service, but you don't go out to eat for service. The onion rings and fries are more oil than anything else, and the burgers fall apart in your hands. All very oily. The local fish and chips is less oily. Takes hard work to be that oily.
Sonny Thomas
So many reasons not to eat here. We decided to get burgers delivered from here. We were tired and hungry and our burgers took over 2 hours to arrive.. and were half an hour later then they estimated which is ridiculous considering it was a monday night and we live just down the road. They also have a $45 delivery minimum which seems extreme. When the burgers FINALLY arrived i was disappointed. The onion rings were cold and way too greasy, chips were average and they had forgotten the dipping sauces. I ordered the felafel burger which was quite dry and very bland. My partner ordered the pumpkin veggie burger which was also very non eventful. My housemate ordered the chicken parma and could only eat half before throwing it out. The buns looked like the home brand coles ones, not something expect from a relatively upmarket burger place. They burgers where also poorly constructed with everything falling out the sides. I have also heard first hand from people that have previously worked there that the owner has underpaid and unfairly dismissed his workers and is all round nasty individual. Would not recommend going here, ever. Melbourne has so many better burger places on offer.
Sam
Horrendous<br/>Unenthusiastic service, excessively greasy, bland burgers that were overpriced (mince from a wholesaler, maybe $9/kg for that crud, 2x150g patties, maybe $3, max $1 for the bun + max 60¢ for cheese and other garnishes.. Total cost $4.60?)<br/>Weeds everywhere, cigarette butts strewn across beer garden, doors falling off hinges and despite having craft beer paraphernalia throughout the venue the most exciting beer you could buy was Carlton draught - saying that the A-frame out the front detailed free beer or soft drink with any purchase (we were charged though)<br/>On the plus side, if you're hungry and don't mind the 'flavour' the portion size is excellent.<br/>Will never be back.. Might just tell the health department about them..
J.larkins43
I could honestly make a better in my kitchen. A fried patty from Coles and a bakers delight roll should not be sold for $15. Service was par. I would recommend avoiding this place.
Robyn Haywood
Two hours to closing time... Not open. Shame, coz this place does good things otherwise, really wanted a Yank Tank burger, dragged my butt down there, now have to settle for a kebab.
Emily
Walked in, keen for a burger, waited at the front counter awkwardly for a few minutes unsure of whether we ordered there or not before eventually being greeted and seated. Took a while to get menus. longer to order. slightly devastating wait for some sub par wine. We were pretty much dead by the time the burgers were served, there was only one other table, who arrived well after us, but were served long before. <br/>The food wasn't just cold, it was sodden and foul. Coagulating fat caked on stale buns. Chips as cold as my saddened heart. This place needs to be stripped of the words 'burger' and 'beer' as it is undeserving of such accolades. don't be fooled by raw brick and hipster signage. This place is disappointment and sorrow.
Morgan Evan Daniel
Me and a bunch of mates ate here one night a couple of weeks ago. Burgers were something that could made at home with a pretty minimal amount of effort. My main point of contention was how sick we all got a few hours after eating. One of us was throwing up all night and the rest of us were pretty close to it. There are so many good burger joints in Melbourne there really isn't any excuse for serving up something so bad.
Bianca
Have been here twice now and both times have been a letdown. Last time my partner and I went, there was no one there, not even staff. We waited a good ten minutes before someone came and took our order. The food took ages to come out and was nothing to rave about. Disappointing.
Good Eats
Went when it said free pot with every burger. Mate and I had a burger... No free beer though. Food was fast but nothing to rave about. Serve was on par with forgetting the beers. No need to go back.
S3376878
Worst service and received food poisoning for the sub-par burger I had from here.  For the first time in my life, left leaving a (mostly) full jug of cider behind and half eaten meal.
Tim
Both burgers had badly burnt patties. When the menu says they're cooked medium, there's no excuse to serve charcoal. Surprisingly, the chips were great.

Some days you don’t want anything fancy, just a good burger and some fries and a quiet evening where no one has to do the dishes. There’s so much around Brunswick that often little gems are only discovered when ones ventures without a clear direction in mind and our wanderings lead us to Brunswick Burger Buzz on Sydney road.   For those who know the area the decor won’t surprise, it a but hipster, a bit eclectic. There’s doors on the walls and chairs that look like they once belonged to many different sets, while the restaurant itself is split into two halves that don’t quite line up.
Rebeka Pickles
If you're hungry, go to another burger joint that doesn't take 2 hours to bring your meal out to you. If you want nice buns (not white crap from woolies), go to another burger joint. If you want less confused staff, go to another burger joint. <br/>Chips were nice. <br/>Never again.
Katherine Chiu
There are two stores for the Brunswick burger buzz. For both of the stores I bought a Groupon and paid the extra $2 for the veggie burger. Veggie burger courtesy of RMIT Newintstudents. For both of their stores their burgers seem to be stock standard but the one in Brunswick seems to be a lot better. On the number 19 tram line this seems to be the better one and one that services RMIT students quite well.

Underwhelmed. <br/><br/>This burger resembled something I would whip up as an after-work meal using supermarket ingredients. Not to say that it was bad, the ingredients and preparation were fine, but I could have just as easily made the same burger using store-bought supplies for half the price. <br/><br/>Also, the chips didn't come out with the meal, instead being served roughly 10 minutes later. What? <br/><br/>Make your own burger at home using Coles brand mince and buns, and it will taste and look just like a Brunswick Burger Buzz burger.

Best burger I've ever had. Hands down. Patty was thick, juicy, delicious. Patty was soft. Tomato and lettuce super crisp. Perfect amount of sauce. <br/><br/>Fries were cooked to perfection, great aioli. And $10 jugs.<br/><br/>Perrrrrfffeeccttt.

Burger in cheap buns, patties, what patties!  I could make the burger better myself at home.  Advised staff, they didn't care.  Customer service terrible, no wonder it was empty. Never again!

I really wanted to love this place, its local and the customer service is outstanding. And my glass of wine full to the brim. <br/><br/>However, for what you pay for I could make better myself. Beef patty was good, though the bun felt like it came from a Coles 4 pack, and the bacon was not cooked making it soggy and with chewy rind. <br/><br/>It is a classic style 'aussie' burger, the kind you'd get at a mates BBQ down the river. But with a price tag of $11.50, as I said I could make it myself.

Was alright. Definitely better burger joints in town. The burger was pretty small for what you pay and the bun kind of reminds me of something you'd get in a 4 pack from the supermarket. The patty was nice and the sauce good, but I dunno if I'll be back. It just lacked any X factor.<br/><br/>Spotted mallard across the road do a much nicer burger if you're willing to pay a little more. Worth it.

Great burger, great service and about time there's a burger around that isn't on a brioche bun like every other joint in Melbourne. <br/>Pretty good tunes in the background.

Best burgers on sydney rd. Always fresh buns with tasty fillings. Chips a mourish and who can complain about $10 jugs. The staff are always super friendly and helpful too. Have been several times now and will continue to pop in for a good feed. Highly recommend!!

Never again. Shitty service waited 15min for the chief to finish his convo before getting started on our meals only for him to come out and ask what we all ordered. And when we finally did get our meal they forgot the other half of our order.

Such an awesome place! Best burgers, tunes and staff!! Burgers & Beer!! Love the chips!

I'm not sure why this place is getting so much hate on here. It's an excellent place to grab a burger where you can actually sit down and have a conversation without being blasted by music or shoved into a dining area the size of a shoebox.<br/>But, the main reason I keep coming back is the patties. They are an authentic, meaty and tender burger that is unmatchable, except for maybe Mr Burger.<br/>Last night I had The Big Kahuna burger, and it was delicious. We ordered chips and got the drink special. Whilst the chips needed a bit of salt, they were still crispy and properly cooked. The burger was excellent, but I'd love to see a different choice of buns available, just because I'm a bun snob.<br/><br/>The owner is a lovely guy, and I love the decor. The classic beer memorabilia and old doors decorating the walls are a great touch. Whoever did the interior design should be ecstatic with the way it all has come together. It's themed, but not overpowering. <br/><br/>I definitely would recommend this to anyone, and I already have.

Greenlotus tattoo's front desk staff here from up the street.<br/><br/>First of let me say that me and my crew are vegitarian, and finding a burger bar with worth while vegetarian burgers makes us give it a thumbs up.<br/><br/>On a normal night service took about 5 minutes (no jokes), chips are amazing, the bag of chips will be empty a few minutes after entering the studio, no one can keep there hands off of it.<br/><br/>Customer service is friendly and welcoming, tunes are always nice (except for the 2006 banger songs coming on every now and then, haha), and cheap beer! not the greatest beer but as good as any 10$ jug you'll find around.<br/><br/>I'd highly reckomend getting this place out if not for the good food, then for the cheap beer and tunes!

Unreal burger and beer ! I ordered the yank tank and out she came ! Huge amazing burger made with skill and love . Cooked to perfection in a relaxed environment and the beer was crisp and cold . Exactly what i needed on a cold and wet melbourne winters night . Well worth it

The burgers here are always great. <br/>I love the burger off - just a good basic burger. <br/><br/>Service is quick and friendly and the chips are fresh and hot. <br/><br/>I'll be back again. Yum!<br/>

It's walking distance from my office and I'm there every week. Outstanding burgers, solid, no fancy brioche stuff, generous serves, excellent chips and the customer service is personable and friendly. <br/><br/>Always a good soundtrack to eat burgers to as well. <br/><br/>I really dig the vibe.

Absolutely love this place, I eat here a few times a week on my work break. Never have to wait, food is always excellent. One of my favourite burger joints in beunswick, would defiantly recommend it.

Worst place on Sydney Road. We have tried getting takeaway from here twice, the first time took TWO hours and the second THREE hours.<br/>

Really disappointed. After driving past multiple times since moving to the area my partner and I couldn't wait to try it. I ordered the philly cheese steak, he got a burger off and shrimp slider, and we shared onion rings. The onion rings were great and chips were perfectly cooked too, and the decor is quite nice and nostalgic - but that's where it stops. My philly cheese steak was reminiscent of steak and onion cooked on a bbq at a park. Charred flavours really taking over. The breads aren't great, and as other people have mentioned, we could have cooked better at home. Can I also point out the menu says 'Chicken' as a heading with 3 options underneath, 2 of which are beef??? Very confusing menu. We asked about the po-boys and the waitress said they don't do them, it was her first shift and she was very lovely, but something may have been lost in translation from the kitchen. Brunswick buzz beer is ok, bit watery and quite fizzy, the cheap $10 jug is a good price but not worth coming back for. Whole meal for $49.50 made me wince while paying as I did not want to pay for such mediocre food! <br/>Edit 24/11/17: how is this place still open? Hahahaha

Just left about 5 min ago with my 12 yo son and 8 yo daughter. Forgot to say thanks but the burgers are just amazing, juicy, etc etc. I used my groupon, paid extra 4 for an upgrade and was well worth it! I don't know the poor reviews, i know it's not the ultimate burger but it is well above average! Better than Laurie Dee's for sure. Be back with the whole family next week!

Anyone who can appreciate an authentic burger and friendly staff will leave happy.<br/>Second time I've been there. This time I had to scale down a bit from the Brunswick Boss to the Yank Tank (3 to 2 patties) as I struggled to finish my burger the first time. But both burgers were delicious and good value for money. Haven't had the fries as I am a fan of onion rings and they were the best I've had in years.

Absolutely disgusting. Stale, old, supermarket buns; weird, thin, processed meat; drowned in tomato sauce, etc.First and last time. I could cook better at home for half the price.

Good feed. The fella serving was super helpful. Burger was good. Beer was cold.

BOP BOM. I always walked past this place and thought i'd give it a go one day. Big Mistake. Cold chips, average burger. Not worth the time or money.

Nice burgers, way too expensive though.

Hot Mama - terrific burger.. Hot Mama was about the most delicious chicken burger I've had. Cheese steak was pretty good! No complaints here, highly recommend!

Lovely service!. We were exhausted from trecking along Sydney rd and stopped for a beer and a bite and were greeted by the loveliest waitress who although flat out with orders, set us up on the table we wanted and managed to get our meals to us at the same time, (even though we kinda ordered at different times and kept asking for other additions ha!)<br/>Was so nice to have actual human service and someone who made an effort to make our experience special!<br/><br/>Will be back Brunswick, thanks for charming us!<br/><br/>Jay and Tina

Bad bitch waitress. The waitress was very rude, mucked up the order then tried to prove she was right, um hello the Customers are always right!!!!!!!!

Can't get it right. Made an order for a beef burger with NO MUSTARD AND KETCHUP, my worker picked up the food brought it back and of course there was mustard and ketchup. Spoke to the owner who said he'd bring me one without mustard and ketchup, then delivers me another burger with MUSTARD and KETCHUP. Seriously dissapointing, not to mention this is the second time my order has been wrong. Wont be going again.
