Went to the bottomless gnocchi. Absolutely loved it! The gnocchi were very soft and genuinely some of the best I've had ever, and I'm Italian and have tried so much gnocchi in Melbourne. We tried 2/3 sauces, the Napoli and the Bolognese, both were really good. Worth the money when you can pay $30 for only one bowl of gnocchi at other restaurants, as I have in the past.
The staff were really friendly as well, especially the woman at the desk who I'm assuming was the manager. The good service topped off an already great night. Would go back in general, but especially for the bottomless gnocchi.
Just a heads up for everyone, if you want bottomless gnocchi make sure you book at least 1-2 weeks in advance as it's extremely popular, especially on a night like Friday or Saturday 🙂
First time eating here last night and I would 100% recommend eating here. The service, food and the ambiance of the restaurant was wondering. I highly recommend getting the Gnocchi Guanciale E Tartufo!! I haven’t stopped thinking about it

We dined at Mammas' Boy two weeks ago with my husband. We both had Gnocchi Guanciale e Tartufo and wine. I came to leave a review after last night's dinner at another Italian restaurant on Lygon where we had also similar gnocchi dish as Mamma's Boy guys deserve it. At the last night's comparison, our experience with Mamma's Boy just went immediately forward in our memories. Mamma's Boy gnocchi dish sauce is to die for!!! So delicious and just perfect. We will be back. Recommended.
We had an epic and delicious all you can eat bottomless lasagne feast here today to celebrate a late National Lasagne Day! Hubby and I had to share each lasagne to make sure we tried all of the delicious flavours on offer, except for dessert, we indulged and had one of those each and it was such a good decision!
Such wonderful and hospitable staff who clearly love what they do and the place has a real nice homely vibe! We loved it so much we bought some packets of pasta from the little deli there for later!
We tried all the flavours:
1. Bolognese Lasagne (traditional beef and pecorino)
2. Vegan Lasagne (mushroom, pea and zucchini with vegan cheese)
3. Seafood Lasagne (prawn, squid, mussel, clam in bechamel sauce)
4. Dessert Lasagne AKA Tiramisu (biscuits, chocolate cream, strawberries and cream)
We came in on Sunday. We had an amazing time at Mamma's Boy. A little gem hidden on Sparta place. Great service, Amazing food. We really Recommend this place
I booked for the Bottomless lasagna and it was absolutely amazing!!!! We tried the beef, seafood and vegetarian. Which were delicious.. We had been served by a GUN waiter. Full house and running this thing by his own. We were really amazed. We will be back for sure
Thoroughly enjoyed Mama’s boy last night. The food coming off the pass was first class, as was the service from our Superman owner and lone waiter. This guy’s a gun in all departments. They even make an awesome cannoli for those who dare. Overall MBT is well worthy of your hard earned and comes highly recommended:-)
We went there on a rainy night, had a lot of nice food.

The food was great..we order some starters "Antipasto, fried Calamari .. " every thing was fresh and delicious.
My Lasagna Al Rago was on the point, and I guess everyone loved their pasta.
My partner and I visited Mammas Boy Trattoria, using a GROUPON deal.
We ordered the Bruschetta board for entree, a whole Pasta each for main and a Cannoli each for dessert! The dishes were accompanied by a nice wine on the side!
The night ended well and the food was extremely delicious!! Bruschetta was a bit spicy, Pasta was really good and Cannoli was very tasty and sweet :)
Pasta dishes were Marinara with white wine & Bolognese rigatoni
We ordered the carbonara, bolognese, wine and tiramisu. New favourite Italian restaurant in the area! Thank you so much, we will be back very soon.
So good! Came here on a Wednesday night for the gnocchi special and it was so delicious. The salumi board was excellent and if you get there before 6 they have a great happy hour.
Amazing food at such a great price too!! I had the rigatoni alla norma which was incredible; the flavours (and huge serving size 😂) reminded me of dinners at my nonna’s. Really nice ambiance as well, loved the Italian tunes playing in the background! Would definitely recommend this place, and will definitely be back! 10/10 👌
Had the calamari & the ragu pasta very delicious . Nice Italian music & good vibe . Service was great & waiter was very knowledgeable about all the ingredients used . Will be back for more
We past by the other day.. cause i heard some good Italian music from Rocco Granata. The set up of the restaurant reminded me of Italy. And the food was amazing we had the perfect pair bruschettas to start as you can choose 2 different options. After we had the Rigatoni alla Norma and The Carbonara. We both licked the plates clean!! Really enjoyed the vibe, food and friendly staff..

Wonderful rustic Italian food, casual vibes and love the happy hours. We tried the $25 spritz jugs with salumi boards before dinner and was really impressed. It's also dog friendly so bring your furry friends and grab a table outside.
I don’t usually find Italian Restaurant to have this warm & inviting vibes like Mamma’s Boy Trattoria.

The food, the ambiance and the hospitality of the staff all are amazing!
One of my favorite is the Veal Cotoletta. The crumbed was good and crispy while the meat is juicy and tender.
We ordered both of the Gnocchi menu and their both amazing! I personally prefer the Gnocchi Porcini Mushrooms better than the other one.

I had an overall pleasant experience of all you can eat gnocchi lunch at Mama's Boy Trattoria.
You start with a bit of bread then you get right into 3 flavours of gnocchi and unlimited supply of cocktails..
With gnocchi, while they tasted excellent, soft gnocchi and flavour some sauce, it was not a standout. Cocktails were great though. I'd highly recommend a visit with a group of friends for a chatty lunch!
Mamma's Boy Trattoria is truly a hidden gem of Brunswick. The ambience was beautiful as though you've stepped into Italy. The service was friendly and the pasta was to die for! It's probably amongst the best Italian meals Ive had in Melbourne. A big shout out to Dario also who made our evening dining experience amazing! Will come back 10/10!
Had an overall pleasant experience at Mamma's Boy Trattoria. The venue is warm and cozy; staff appeared friendly. We ordered the Homemade Arancini, Caprese Salad, Twice Cooked Duck pasta, and Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder. Most dishes were enjoyable but the Lamb Shoulder was tough and just lukewarm. Their cocktails are worth the try, my personal favourite was Mamma's Favourite.
Extremely friendly service, food was delicious & drinks were refreshing. Definitely won't be leaving without being full and unsatisfied!
Great atmosphere and gorgeous food. I had the gnocchi with spinach, cherry tomatoes, pecorino and truffle. So so good. My friend ordered the baked snapper which was also wonderful. The menu is perfectly balanced and very difficult to decide as every dish looked so good. The service by Dario and the guys was so friendly and quick. There was a table of 8 next to us but the noise levels were remarkably okay. Just loved Mammas Boy Trattoria. Will definitely be back. A rare surprising find in the heart of Brunswick.
Went for the bottomless gnocchi and cocktails, very nice and had plenty to eat and drink. Staff were nice also. They were quick to kick us out to reset for the next sitting but we didn't get table service for 20mins into our session which bothered me when they put pressure on us to leave. An oversight I'm sure, but was the difference between 4 and 5 stars. However, I'd do it again.
