Review Mountain King Chinese Restaurant - Buderim

After going near weekly for 6 months spending always over $85 dollars a pop, disappointed when tonight we get home with our $104 order to find they forgot the lemon sauce for the chicken. Phone to advise and women rudely explains it was in micro I could just come back. Advised we were just about to eat so coming back wasn’t an option as cold food less wanted than dry chicken. She then stated well I’ll put a lemon sauce on ur next order. When questioned what use would another sauce be if I’m ordering lemon chicken it comes with sauce. She again rudely and with attitude explained well come and get it now or get a lemon sauce next time. No apology, no friendliness. Poor customer service for sure. The dry chicken and special fried rice was 36 dollars! King prawn noodles with 4 prawns, onions and two bits of carrot was another poor shout tonight. Time to move our business elsewhere

Sadly very very average Chinese food. Carrots in the pork in plum sauce tasted like they were from a frozen packet. Pork was tough, sauce was an ok flavour. Combination special Fried rice was absolutely SHOCKING! No flavour, seafood extender in it in place of seafood like advertised!!!!! Extremely OVER priced!!!!!! Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

I hate this place! The manager is extremely rude and the food is atrocious. The fried rice and entre's are really exceptional but that is it. The one star is because of the fried rice. I love it. I hate everything else. The front people are really nice but when asked to talk to the manager she was horrible. I could not get a single word in and i wanted to vomit every time i looked at her. made me lose my appetite. I wouldn't even serve this food to my dog. I don't recommend this place. But other than that the fried rice is really good. I was planning on proposing to my girlfriend here but the food was NOT edible.

Been here a few times now and I hate giving bad reviews of local places but this restaurant is stuck in 1988. Fried rice tastless, sauces gluggy and sugary. Crispy noodle dish came with a small paper bag of horribly fried 8cm noodles - not a noodles dish at all. Reminds me of the takeout when I was a kid. Not even the kids like it though :-(.

Lacked any real flavor. I’ve never seen curry puffs so small. Was hot and the order was correct. Not sure I’d return.

Ordered Combination omlette and large special fried rice. Omlette looked more like a pancake. Both rice and omlette had no flavour. Would not have known what I was eating. Expensive for such poor quality. Never again

Handy location in a small shopping centre on King street, Buderim. Love the Chinese décor (and the chairs!). Well presented. Had a mixed entrée and Sichuan chicken. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back.

Absolutely beautiful! Arrived quickly on a busy Friday night. Great cooking. Really happy with this choice!
