Reviews Yarra Valley Country Club

We came here to watch some live music with the family at the Soundgarden music club but decided to grab dinner beforehand. There was a reasonably good variety of dishes including a soup of the day and roast of the day. They even had a kids menu which was a bonus Staff were very friendly and made is feel at home. We ordered fish and chips, salmon, kids Parma as well as the soup (tomato) and a side of veggies. The variety and prices are similar to what you would expect from a suburban pub but must say quality was really good. Fish was fresh, proportions were generous and overall everyone thought the meals were tasty. After dinner we moved to the show and everyone had a good seat and view of the stage. In addition to the normal bar drinks you could also order snacks which were reasonably priced and kept the kids fed throughout the night. Although the place from the street looks unassuming we enjoyed the hospitality and would definitely like to come back.

Sadly this venue is soon to be no more after more than 50 years in business. We've had many a lovely meal in the bistro over the many years. Our best wishes to the staff who have served over these long many years. Yvonne
