Covid safe cafe in Heide Park next to the museum. All vaccination certificates carefully checked. Coffee excellent as was the service. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. The calamari was perfectly cooked and presented on a bed of mask topped by rocket. Fish of the day was served with rice and fresh salad. Chicken burger served with chips shared with the fish eaters. Dog and child friendly. Atmosphere great with lots of ventilation.

When we walked in, the place was only 10%full (around 9:45), the manager said there is only one table available which was right under the sun. I assumed that may be soon it will get crowded but we were there for 45 min and not many people showed up, I didn't understand why he couldn't offer us something under the umbrella but the food and rest of the service was good. I saw later the place got busy after 11. Apart from the unnecessary sunbath I got, Cafe is good.

Nice place to wind down after long walk around the landscaped gardens and the museum for a cup of tea or coffee with some nice treats on the side. Services are equally pleasant and friendly. It can get very busy on the weekend.
