Stunning place to grab a coffee, architecture is beautiful and service is good but it's definitely on the high end of the price scale with few options. I'd say give it a go though, food was delicious and coffee was good. Worth it if you're there for the day.
This is one of my favourite cafes to visit for its location and ambience. Also enjoy the fact that the menu is seasonal and local so there's always something new and exciting each time. One of the dishes I tried out recently and enjoyed immensely was the Pan fried emperor fillet, fennel puree, soft green beans and olive tapenade. Another standout dish was the Iranian style calamari, date puree and smoked yoghurt.
The service was great, the staff are very lovely and accomodating, the food was spectacular couldn't fault a thing, have beautiful flavour. The museum and the grounds were lovely to look at as well, will definitely be going back.
I had been here 3 years ago and heard that this place had changed management. Thank goodness.
We had the Big Breakfast and the smashed Avocado. Both delicious The baked beans were homemade as was the hash brown the scrambled eggs were perfect together with the micro herbs from Heidi’s garden. And the thick cut bacon which wAs grilled but was delicious The place is beautiful surrounded by gun trees and gardens. You would not guess you were so close to the city. Walking around the sculpture park was so enjoyable. Will definitely return

The environment is nice and waiters are so friendly. I ordered the duck and it was so delicious. It was very crispy outside and soft inside. The salad fresh the whole dish as I dun like having something too “meaty”
A lovely cafe in the Heide Museum. We had a couple of coffees and shared this caramel slice with gold leaf. Very fancy. It’s a fantastic venue, very tranquil and leafy. Stay longer to enjoy the serenity.

Thanks for a great day, lunch was fantastic and the staff were very friendly.
Dessert was amazing, I had the lemon meringue and my friend had the berry cheesecake.
Really pleasant cafe that has the whole deal covered. Food is good. It is artistically presented with edible floral decorations. Tastes great, good helpings.
It's busy, but this cafe has better acoustics than nearly everywhere. We could easily hear everyone at the table.
The staff seemed to be well attentive to our needs.
Recommend this place.
What a shame that there are so many negative reviews for this great venue. That was in the past. New ownership have now settled in and doing a great job. Go back and try the new experience and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did - the food, the service and the friendly, helpful staff. Now I am looking forward to the High Tea next Sunday afternoon. Thanks Heide.
We went there at 11am on a Sunday, which means we can only choose from the breakfast menu and burgers, which left us with limited selection. We had the apricot and fig fruit toast and jam and the waygu beef burger. The toast is a bit hard to chew. Waygu beef burger is very tasty, it would be nice to have more chips. Coffee is average, and the Chai latte is a bit strong for me. I guess the best part about this cafe is its location, it was nice to enjoy a relaxing walk around the garden and get some fresh air.
Covid safe cafe in Heide Park next to the museum. All vaccination certificates carefully checked. Coffee excellent as was the service. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. The calamari was perfectly cooked and presented on a bed of mask topped by rocket. Fish of the day was served with rice and fresh salad. Chicken burger served with chips shared with the fish eaters. Dog and child friendly. Atmosphere great with lots of ventilation.
When we walked in, the place was only 10%full (around 9:45), the manager said there is only one table available which was right under the sun. I assumed that may be soon it will get crowded but we were there for 45 min and not many people showed up, I didn't understand why he couldn't offer us something under the umbrella but the food and rest of the service was good.
I saw later the place got busy after 11.
Apart from the unnecessary sunbath I got, Cafe is good.
Nice place to wind down after long walk around the landscaped gardens and the museum for a cup of tea or coffee with some nice treats on the side.
Services are equally pleasant and friendly.
It can get very busy on the weekend.
Lovely location esp with good weather. Has indoor and outdoor undercover seating. Had a takeaway coffee which was pretty good but the sit in coffee wasn’t as good. Depends on who makes it. We didn’t have a meal only a croissant which was just alright. It’s a really nice place for a celebration and a destination meal I think. Elegant and well lit. Probably pricey but overall a good experience. Would recommend.
Attended Heide for a work lunch.
We had a big group of 19 people for brunch, and were served promptly! Food did not take long to came out at all. All our wait staff were lovely and accommodating.
The food was phenomenal. I had the smashed avo which was beautiful. All the other dishes were very different and was experiencing some food envy!
Excited to attend again in the future 😊
Really lovely environment. We were a large group however the staff managed well with all our orders for food and drink. Good place for privacy if you want to avoid the public cafes and being interrupted.
