Review The Happy Wife - Bunbury

On my way back to Perth and decided to stop for a quick breakfast and coffee. Lovely spot on the river. Managed to get a table on the outside in the shade. Staff was friendly and the food was good. Wait time was not to long. Interesting fact, there are an outside area that guest can use with their dogs. Coffee was good. Had a very nice light snack. Place was busy as it appear to be a very popular location. Ask for a mug if you want to have your coffee in a mug and not a paper cup. When I ordered my coffee the cashier said the coffee is only in paper cups. When I sat down, everybody had mugs. Not a big deal, just a small future tip.

Came here for lunch the other day. Delicious meal, ordered wild rice salad with salmon (but no salmon on plate). Nice to be able to sit by the water in this cozy environment. Not a huge selection on the menu, but good breakfast options and some for lunch too. Would like to come back to this place to taste other items on the menu

A cup of warm long black for a very decent price of $3.70. Breaky sanga was well prepared and I love the eggs and beacon! The back yard has got a beautiful view of the bay but was little cold for us with the wind. Indoor is equally beautiful. Really friendly staff too!

Absolutely phenomenal experience here today. I had the brekky sanga, and it was absolutely amazing. It was fresh and crisp, seasoned so well with a yummy home made sauce and the bread was so tasty. My coffee was delicious too. The coffee was heated to perfection and was so smooth to drink and was not bitter in the slightest. Thank you to the barista who made it. Afterwards I had a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. It was presented beautifully, and it tasted even better. The buttercream was rich and silky smooth, but not overly sweet. And the cake itself was moist and lovely flavour, with out being to rich or overly sweet. The raspberry coulis as a garnish was perfectly paired with the cake too. Who ever made that cake, you are a cake magician. Overall an absolutely wonderful meal. 10/10 recommend to anyone asking for a good place to grab a bite to eat or a coffee to enjoy. Lovely location right by the water. It was a rainy day and they had a great protected outdoor area with heaters. I had the sweet crumpets and a coffee and it was one of the nicest brunches I've had (and I'm from Melbourne!). My family enjoyed their meals as well. I would definitely recommend the Happy Wife.

Excellent menu options, well prepared and presented dishes for breakfast. Service is warm and friendly. Great location for breakfast with views over the water. Outdoor seating. Covid compliant. You will not be disappointed.

Having breakfast at the happy wife coffee shop , staff is very friendly and attentive to all customers, place is neat and along the riverbank even though it’s raining 🌧 customers are flowing smoothly. Very good 🥘 lots to choose from. Animal friendly. As I saw a customer bring her puppy 🐶 while she’s having breakfast 🍳 👍

Love this place if any one is looking for a nice place to chill hav a coffee n take ur pets or children go here! They hav a cute little beach u can go on the sand n dip ur toes in the water :) u can relax but hav to watch your children as it is near water (take sand toys for kids) The staff are friendly food is amazing!! N they hav blankets you can use if it's cold which is a lovely touch. I highly recommend this place :) will defiantly go back

Had lunch and was really impressed! Had the duck and sweet potato parcel with salad -the pastry was crisp and light great portion size and very tasty 😋 really enjoyed it Service was great had to resist a cake but they too looked good !

Happy with a more different menu style but hubby would have preferred bacon not ham on his breakfast. Coffee good and staff friendly.

Thank you to the gorgeous staff at the Happy Wife ... we totally took over, rearranged the furniture and ate lovely breakfasts. Cannot recommend highly enough � xxf

The Happy Wife is my favourite place to take the family and meet our friends for breakfast. It is always delicious, great views and sometimes the dolphins even come to say hello! Love it � � � � �

Service was great, amazing location, couldn't fault the coffee. The food was next level. Crumpets are to die for. Definately recommend them! Plus the Turkish eggs served in the frypan were amazing.

Great location, service was really good & the food was delish & I bought a ginger kiss to takeaway which just melted in the mouth.My eyes lovingly wandered over the food selection in the fridge mmm maybe lunch next time. One thing I didnt like was the location of our table right under the toilet window its very off putting while eating brekky!!! -maybe board up the window? I will be back but will not sit in that spot again.:-)

Great Lil cafe by the water, good food n fab coffee . My only qualm is the uncomfortable chairs . Wicker chairs are wobbly, metal chairs just darn uncomfortable IMO.

Great lunch. Not that impressed though with both the quays and parade hotel with their restrictive parking. All thats like to do is drive me and other customer's away from all establishments here.

Staff are not very friendly - off putting from the start- felt like I had eyes burning into me! The lady with the tattoo doing the coffee looked at me up and down... very rude!

Brilliant food, nicely presented and tasted delicious. I think every staff member said hi to me and smiled. Food was quick to come also and a great menu.

Had a Chai Latte from here, the best I'd had anywhere in a very long time. Staff were friendly and polite with my kids. I will be coming more often

Had the cinimon oats with vanilla bean yogurt & berries, not only did it look amazing on the plate, it tasted amazing. Great location, friendly service, best coffee! You will not be disappointed.

Excellent coffee (double shot for me), I didn't think the breakfast I ordered was as nice as I have had there in the past. Staff very accommodating and efficient.
