Staff were friendly and the views were nice. Though for the price, was expecting a bit more flavour and portion size.

This is such a great cafe, vegan options are available. It's right on the beach so the views are amazing 🙂. Staff are always very friendly.

A great venue to sit and watch the ocean, the view is spectacular. Unfortunately there was a particular board (backbeach board) that really let it down. Poorly curated and slapped together with your general supermarket condiments. I feel there was more lettuce than anything else. The scallops were cooked well but the thicker chunks of bacon, though a good flavour, take away from the dish. It should be crispy for texture, this is why pancetta works very well. The arancini was exceptional.

Fantastic views … food was ok (they can definitely do some work on the menu)… it’s worth the drive just for the view… especially when sun is setting

I love having lunch or breakfast at Back Beach Cafe! The view of the beach makes all the difference! Nice food, either on the menu or cakes/slices from the counter display. Make a booking if you have a large group, and there is a separate room for small group parties or meetings. Recently, like all places, they have been short-staffed, but they go out of their way to make your experience a pleasant one. Highly recommended.

Had a last minute brunch plan while returning to Perth from Bunbury this morning with parents, and BackBeach made my brother jealous (as he didn't join us haha). The view, the service, the food, the ambience 100% recommend, must try if you come to Bunbury. They have plenty gluten free and vegan options on the menu. We ordered English Breakfast tea, Dirty Chai with soy milk, Canadian Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, and Thick toast with jam/butter/scrambled eggs and beans. Loved every single bite with the wonderful view of the sea. Thank you Backbeach Cafe.

Gorgeous view, friendly staff but long queue for food then 30 minutes ended up to be an hour, very hot outside could’ve done with some mist fans. Once the food came mine was great and not over priced. A bit inconsistent as one of our party only got 3 wedges and I got 6 but overall a nice lunch in a beautiful spot😁

We travelled from Dwellingup for a day out and looking for a nice experience to enjoy a rare opportunity. We chose the Back Beach Cafe after seeing your advert showing your classy establishment. Unfortunately our experience left us disappointed. After initial friendly greet, we took a seat. Cafe very tired. We went with the marinated octopus and 2 groper specials and 2 warm beers. On waiting on our lunch not once but twice we were offered food obviously destined for another table. Our entree arrived... oil soaked deep fried calamari.... not our order ! Thank god....I delivered back to kitchen and again stated what we had ordered. After kitchen came out and checked out what we had actually order we finally received octopus... under welming .... Table not cleared of entree before main meal arrived. We both looked at each other... omg what is this. Tough over cooked Groper, Boiled chips on English spinach straight from packet. Lovely roast pumkin though. 3 "huge" semi cooked Roma tomatoes. Sauce ok. I should have checked reviews before making decision to eat here. Reviews hugely inconsistent which is of some concern ! Not to mention state of table and state of salt and pepper holders that obviously not maintained. Meal was a struggle... most was left on plate. Another concerning aspect was the confusion of staff which appears to stem from management and kitchen . In offering a final comment your business is in desperate need of direction. I wish you luck !

Recently had a delicious and enjoyable family dinner and would love to revisit next time we are in the area. Has an absolutely brilliant family room so you can eat where the kids are playing rather than them being in a separate room nearby. Food was well received and demolished by all (seafood basket, chia seed tart, sausage and chips, seasonal greens, milk tart and kids plate). Everything we wanted was there. Service was relaxed and friendly and we enjoyed every minute which those who have kids know it can be more stressful than not often. Oh and the view of the sunset was beautiful I imagine it would be great during the day as well. Thanks Backbeach for everything!!

Delicious lunch today of shark, chilli muscles, squid and specially made pancakes for my old mum who was craving them lol great service, friendly helpful staff and gorgeous 'happy' waiter who gave us a good laugh,views to die for and a beautiful sea breeze thru the windows

Myself and my friends came here for lunch today, service was alright, never got our meals checked and was told 30 minute waiting time which ended up being 55 minutes. We received our food, fish and chips were beautiful but squid was over cooked and prawns/ oysters had no taste to them, very bland. I work in hospitality and believe you really do need to check up on people's food/ drinks to rectify. Such a beautiful place but we ended up leaving most of our food on our plate

Best kept secret in Bunbury. View to die for. excellent menu choices at very competitive prices. And to top it off tasted great with generous serves. Next work visit to WA I'm staying in Bunbury so i can eat here again.

Perfect for kids. It is one of the "child friendly" places that is actually setup for kids. They have a dedicated room that is fully enclosed so you don't have to worry about the kids being noisy and disturbing other people, or worry about running off. The room has robust furniture, toys, lovely views of the ocean, is close to the toilets. The kids big breakfast was perfect. It is the first time I've enjoyed having breakfast out with my kids (2.5 and 4)

Would recommend to anyone, from our greeting as soon as we stepped in the door to the service and beautiful food and coffee � This cafe had a great feel to it, so professionally run, but keeping a warm welcoming casual feel...good on you ��� .

5 of us with drinks great value with the food being delicious and a view to die for. Turn up sit down and enjoy.

I ordered their fish of the day and it was absolutely delicious. It was presented beautifully and the fish was fresh and cooked perfectly with all other aspects of the dish cooked perfectly as well. I would come back from Perth and this would be my first stop.

Lovely breakfast , best pancakes I’ve had in years ! Service was fast and friendly and the coffee was excellent .

Love this place! It’s my go-to for lunch with Perth visitors, and I regularly grab a fish n chips to go from the kiosk when I’m out with my pooch. Staff, service and food always so good. Thanks!

We recently had a Wedding reception here for our Daughter and Son-in-law. Can't thank Miranda and her staff enough. They went over and above our expectations. They were amazing. The food was delicious. Great variety, some modern and some traditional so catered for all our guests. Thanks so much.
