Authentic Japanese restaurant served by Japanese people. Food is nice with reasonable price. But the portion is quite small. I checked the menu from Google but looks like menu has been changed with the new owner. Mochi ice cream is not recommended.

Their takoyaki is to diiiie for. This is me and my partners go to spot when we visit Bunbury to see my family. We ritualistically go to time zone for fun then get takoyaki and gyoza for dinner ❤❤❤ and the staff are always so friendly ❤❤❤

Very thoughtful owners from Osaka. The yosenabe was cooked for us because of the children. They opened earlier so that the kids could come in as well. It's real Japanese cooking.. stronger flavours from Osaka. We also that the grilled salmon and chicken Kats curry.

I get the feeling each time I eat here that, rather than being at some fancy pants restaurant, I have been welcomed in to someone’s home and they have lovingly prepared the food for me. It’s authentic home cooked dining and it makes me nostalgic for my host mother’s food!!

Amazingly good Japanese food. We had the set menu for dinner, the tempura dish with 7 different veggies and two proteins was yum. <br/><br/>Good service with almost no waiting between courses. <br/><br/>Almost too much to eat, certainly no need for any breakfast tomorrow.

Great little Japanese in the Main Street of Bunbury. Started with some gyoza that were lovely and light, just how they are in Japan. Then agasashi Tofu and then a katsu curry. All together a nice meal and will be back.

We went for a quick lunch today on the way to Yallingup. Very authentic and traditional. I had the salmon, tuna and kingfish rice bowl. The fish was fresh, bright and tasty over seasoned rice. W had the unagi on rice, and was pleased to find it had sansho (mountain pepper) on it - standard in Japan but a first in Australia. We also had miso soup which had tofu, wakame and some carrot in it. It was nice but a little bit too light in flavour for me.<br/>The staff were friendly and attentive, but we thought that the food and drinks were slightly overpriced.

Walked into the restaurant while a group of students having Japanese lesson. It was fun to watch and listen while selecting our dishes.<br/><br/>We had edamame, seafood pancake, salmon and chicken teriyaki. Waitress was honest to suggest one small and one large was sufficient for dinner instead of recommending to size up like other places. Thank you. No wastage. <br/><br/>The taste was really good. We spend $60 for 2 with 2 entrees and 2 mains. <br/><br/>I only thought the price for the bowl of rice small $4 and large $5 was a little dear.

Went to kokoro this last weekend for dinner with a few friend for dinner.Service was prompt and polite.standout dishes are the beef tataki, chiken karaage and sushi was superb. Great to have an authentic Japanese restaurant in Bunbury.

Nice Jap rest in Bunbury. Dishes were cooked with care and very tasty. Will surely go back if we pass Bunbury again next time. Oh they've moved to opposite Just One Thai Restaurant (#57-59) but havent changed address on Urbanspoon! See you next time Kokoro!

Best Japanese food!!. I dine at Kokoro on a weekly basis. Always consistent with the service, food, quality and freshness. Better than any Japanese restaurant I've been to in Perth. Must try Kokoro, you won't be dissapointed - make sure you dine in, take a bottle of vino, and a few friends and enjoy!

Fantastic Bunbury Restaurant. We are regulars to Kokoro and are so happy that they have re-opened. The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. We are not sold on the new menu, would love to see more options in the evenings like the Bento boxes and we don't understand why you have to order the rice separate? Will always go back to Kororo though as it is just fantastic!!!!!!

Just wonderful. We have eaten here several times now and gotten a few takeaways.<br/>The food is always fantastic. They are quite busy but service is always prompt.<br/>I get the sulks on Sunday night because they are closed and that seems to be when I feel like my fix of Japanese.........try it, if you know anything about Japanese, you will appreciate how good their food is.

THE BEST Japanese!. Their food is definitely worth the wait and my god, cheap for authentic Japanese!! A must try if you haven't already as this is some of best Japanese in Australia (try the raw tuna, avocado salad with wasabi mayo = amazing)!

Hope to see more improvement. People say it's the best Japanese around. However I would say that's the only Japanese around. Food is good, in fact great. Portion is toooo small. They have been getting away from that since there is no expert in town on Jap food. Improvement is certainly needed.

Yum!. It seems like every man and his dog sells sushi now so getting the real deal from Kokoro is always a treat. Everything is so fresh and delicious I love it. The lady who owns it is friendly just don't go in too close to closing up time because she is not scared to tell you to hurry up and get out. She is hilarious. The beef tataki is to die for and I also love their udon. The parking sucks and it is in the most random spot but you will not be disappointed in the food. Get on it!
