Review Thai Tulips Restaurant - Bundaberg

Came here for dinner with my parents and really enjoyed it. There was a small wait for the table and the food as the place seems very short staffed but the waitress and chef were excellent. The waitress was busy looking after everyone and she was very nice. Food was very tasty. My parents hadn’t had Thai food before but they really enjoyed it!

Awesome service and great food! The atmosphere was lovely and portion sizes reasonable, and they catered to people who don't like spicy food. Our hostess was wonderfully funny and friendly, our favourite part of the entire evening!

Locals recommended and we see why. From the start, helpful phone call to order takeaway with suggestions from the menu and help with directions. Food was plentiful and fragrant. The most ingredients in the chicken cashew and perfect level spice in the red curry. Thank you

Highly recommended. We have been to this restaurant more than once in the past six months and have found the service to be exceptional. The food is delicious and staff go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your experience in the restaurant. Food is varied, fresh and well presented, not to mention very yummy!! A really lovely family business that we will continue to visit for our special celebrations and also when we just want to enjoy a lovely Thai meal served with a smile 😊 thank you to the team at Thai Tulips!

We are always warmly welcomed by the owners here. They are willing to vary the spiciness to suit our taste. I always opt for the chicken and cashew nut dish - love it so much! Husband varies his selection - today he had panang curry with chicken. - again a great dish. Going to fit in a dessert today as well.

We were visiting Bundaberg for a couple of nights and decided to try some Thai. We did a phone order/take away, the service over the phone was really good and they were very polite and helpful. We arrived to pick up our food and the service was just as pleasant. The food was delicious, I like my Thai hot and asked for Thai 🌶 for my red duck curry and they didn’t disappoint, it was just perfect with the right kick. We would happily return again.

I’ve had 3 bad experiences with this restaurant and have given up. The staff are extremely rude to say the least. They are very short with you, and for some reason have an element of arrogance. There meals, although delicious, are over priced. If you’re wanting take-away for 1, you’re looking at $50 (soup/sml entree, main/rice). They only have a large rice, even for 1 person. I’ve waited at the counter on a number of occasions. And although they advertise as opening until 8pm, on 2 occasions they’ve closed early. I’ve rung at 7.35pm, they’ve informed me they packed up and closed, when I’ve started to question why does their website say 8pm, they hang up. No wonder the business is very quiet every time I’ve been.

I was asked to leave due to not wearing shoes, fair (my child had hidden them and I was keen to get dinner before they closed) as I was about to turn around and walk out... A worker called out "it's disgusting!" I used to work in hospitality, would not dream of saying that to a paying customer. My wife was shocked to hear this, as they'd always been kind to her over the years. She grew up coming to this restaurant with her family... I went back with shoes, got my food and left. Pretty shocked. The food is nice though.

Tonight a group of 7 of us visiting Bundaberg went to Thai Tulips to celebrate a birthday. I am coeliac so required a gluten free meal. The staff were exceedingly helpful in guiding me through the extensive range of gluten free food that was available. The food was delicious and the staff were marvelous. We will definitely be back!

Luv the food ,and all the staff . Have been going for years with all my family . And Doreen and Phinit are back . And any visitors , and family from tassie . strait to thai tulips . Go on give them a try . Totally Luv it there

The food is good, the service okay. But the experience we had last night, in the middle of a blackout, and being expected to pay the total price for the banquet we ordered even though we DID NOT get the whole meal, was disgraceful. The owner then telling me that it wasn't her fault that the power was out, and therefore not her fault that we only got two thirds of the banquet was beyond poor service. Her invitation to 'come back another day' and get the rest of what we paid for' was truly a joke. Such a bad attitude, and no matter how good the food is, I'd rather go somewhere where I am not required to pay for a menu that doesn't arrive. Sure, the blackout wasn't the fault of the restaurant...but it's not up to the customers to pay for it, either. Very poor form.

Absolutely one of the nicest Thai restaurants we've eaten at - the food is to die for and the service is exceptionable - Glad it's in Bundy!

So great to see this restaurant back in the hands of its original owners. Amazing food, amazing service and amazing price. If you haven’t been for a while do your self a favour and make a booking. You won’t be disappointed.

The absolute best Thai I've ever had! Well worth checking out if you're visiting Bundy. Perfectly cooked, excellent flavours, loads of veges and the Massaman was unbelievable. We had the banquet for 2. We are both big eaters but could not finish it all. Absolutely wonderful experience.

Every time I dine there whether it be lunch or dinner the food is so fresh and delicious. Service is wonderful
