Review H2o Restaurant And Bar - Bundaberg

Sensational view of the river. We were lucky enough to spot some dolphins while eating breakfast. It was like something out of a Tourist brochure. My meal was absolutely delicious and a generous serve too. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and my coffee. I was very relaxed after dining on the river and it was the perfect start to the day.

Came for happy hour cocktails. It was a bit disorganised. Cocktails took a while to be made, 20 plus minutes both times. No garnish. When I went to purchase the second time, I paid cash, no change was given, when I asked for my change I was passed $1 in 20 cent pieces and then asked “is that enough”. It wasn’t the correct change. I told her, “it isn’t but don’t worry about it.” I got an “Ok” then waited 25 mins for the drink to arrive. Time needs to be spent on proper training so there is some sort of organisation. Everything seemed thrown together last minute.

We went for my birthday on a weeknight. The ambiance was great, looking over the river at sunset with fairy lights above us on the deck. Customer service was really good, waiters were attentive and friendly, and we never had to wait long for our drinks or meals. Our favourite dish was the risotto, it was packed full of flavour. The Barramundi melted in the mouth, cooked to perfection! Very good value for money and excellent food quality and taste, will definitely go back.

Hubby & I up for the night from the Gold Coast, decided to go for dinner when the hotel we stayed at gave us a menu for the restaurant. From when we walked in the restaurant the service was outstanding even though the restaurant lower level was full they made room for us on the upper level. Drinks ordered then ordered our meals. We ordered the pork belly and Rib fillet and both were so delicious, I highly recommend. H20 checked all the boxes for us. Thank you H20 for a wonderful dinner.

My husband and myself had breakfast last Sunday and were so impressed with our waitresses. They were attentive and looked after us well. Breakfast was lovely and my coffee which I'm very fussy with was made to perfection. Views were great too.

Horrible horrible horrible. Tasteless food with premium prices. Kitchen must’ve ran out of salt, hospital food is better than here. View is good but thats about it. 😣 I hate making bad reviews but people must be informed. 07-03-2022 Hello Mandy, Thank you for responding, you must've mistaken our table from someone else. None of us refuse to pay anything as money is never an issue and its not in our culture to refuse payment regardless of the food/drinks quality. (Please be very careful of accusing me not paying drinks, as this simple review may lead to something very serious). Kindly do your investigation properly and correctly. We arrive at approximately 7:30pm, we got 3 tables set together for our group and during our meals none of your staff asked how our meal was. In fact, during payment I initiate a conversation to the cashier and asked if H2O restaurant ever receive a positive review, and she smiled saying yes. I didn't comment further as we don't want to be impolite. I was starving when we visited your restaurant as I've just finished my 12hours shift and was still wearing my scrubs that night. But regardless how hungry I was, I was not able to finish your ''Gnocchi" as it doesn't taste anything, perhaps a lack of salt? I don't know but its super bland. My friends started talking about their food as well and shared it to everyone on our table to taste how horrible it was. I can elaborate more and be very specific with each of the food but I don't plan to write an essay. Have you taste your pasta and other foods lately? I wonder which table refuse to pay their drinks that night, as it definitely was not us. lol Kindly investigate accurately. Nicely laid out. Crab Pasta was excellent. Confi of Chicken Breast just passed its cooking time to becoming dry - otherwise well executed. We ordered gelato, had to ask a waitress twice about it, was told an hour into service that the freezer was broken. (???) We do hope your insurance company handles the claim expediently. A lovely setting on the river to dine by. Well worth the visit and the hotel was a nice stay.

Don’t waste your money…. Overpriced rubbish - do yourself a favour and go to maccas. Pork belly with no flavour (braised , mushy fatty mess). None of the items on the plate compliment let alone go together. The oven baked cod was flavourless and dry, purple cauliflower purée tasted off. Truffle fries had zero truffle flavour or Parmesan as advertised/reflected in price. I sent both the fries (thinking the order was mixed up - it wasn’t) and my pork back just to have it returned and told that’s how it’s meant to be. I didn’t eat it and we left. When paying, manager (older lady) told me I was wrong and pork belly is meant to have the mushy/fatty/oily taste. I explained I order pork belly at most places and it has flavour, especially if braised, this one did not have any flavour (imagine broiled pork)- the entire meal didn’t have flavour, it was oily and mushy/watery. Mushy pea purée had cumin - it was an Asian dish, it did not go but the only item with flavour. I was told again by the lady that I was very very wrong…. I heard at least 3 other tables complaining about their meals as well, guess we were all wrong. Apparently duck should also be served raw. I’ve eaten at some wonderful places in my life and paid less - Phat mango in Darwin, Cumulus, MoVida, chin chin in Melb - the chefs and manager need to check these places out… Raise the bar guys

We had a "world class" experience on Valentines eve with Michael and his staff. The Valentines eve decor left nothing to be desired, the restaurant looked superb. The welcome was just what we expected from the staff, and everyone delivered what was expected. The meal, well, what can I say? We are fans of H2o, but this meal by far out did anything that we have previously experienced. I can honestly say that Valentines eve was the best experience of my life. Well done Michael, and please pass on my congratulations to your staff, they all deserve it. If I could give you six stars, I would.

Best place to go for any function, staff are amazing and the food is equal to the serve which is top class.

We had an excellent meal last night and quality was equal to none, back up by excellent service. We also enjoyed the visit by the possum. �

Had our Wedfing Anniversary dinner there last night .Food was beautiful, service was ok , one attendant was great the other one ??? . We felt was quite expensive. However we were happy to see the possum that is a regular visitor lol.

This is one of our favourite places to dine. Staff are very friendly. Maitre de Michael is always very friendly and helpful. Recently we had a large family gathering at h2o and all who came were extremely happy with the excellent service received as well as the food.

What a wonderful place for dinner family friendly staff are fantastic and atmosphere was 10/10 food was just amazing and large range to pick from
