Review East End Hotel - Bundaberg

We had our Calligraphy X'mas and of year break up party. Food was exceptional, great sized serves. Friendly staff & great service. Great time had by all. Of our ladies that attended, all meal a were delicious and the Sticky Date Pudding was to die for. Apparently the Chef added Marachino cherries and sultanas to the mixture for Christmas.

If you want to have a great culinary experience, the Sugar Reef Bar And Bistro is the place to go. The chef is absolutely amazing. If you want a steak, he will cook it exactly how you like it. It's no hit or miss here. It's always a hit. I usually get the prawn topper with my steak, and the prawns are always cooked to perfection as well. I have also tried the Chicken Kiev. It's out of this world. It's not your usual crumbed chicken with garlic butter, it doesn't have crumbs, but it is stuffed with an amazing array of flavours, cut into thick slices with cheese sauce over the top. I've never had anything like it, but I will certainly be back for more. They have an extensive menu, I'm sure that there is something for everyone. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos, but honestly, you don't need them. If you go and try a meal there you won't be disappointed. Hats off to the chef.

I really liked my meal, the duck.skin was super crispy the meat was a bit overcooked but it was a well presented dish. My wife's meal was very innovative omlet with salmon, it was a very small meal which suited my wife fine. Highly recommend

My son went for tea with friends & there was a mix up with the meals. When he complained he was given attitude by the server. Then the chef came out and verbally abused my son in front of the whole restaurant in a loud voice. He swore at him calling him a c##t & using the f word. He eventually made him a new meal.Absolutely disgusting behaviour. We won't be going there again & I will be relaying this story to everyone I know.

Love Robbie's food @ Sugar Reef Bistro and Bar. If you haven't dined here you are missing out. Chef special 'Duck w/ Orange Sauce... Yummo. Large meals to fill your belly. Large selection to suit everyone.

Very hard to rate it, the meals have been absolutely amazing...as always, this time we have been very disappointed from the sides......there where 7 chips and a really small serve of salad...taste great but paying $35 for a steak the sides are disappointing

With the East End being a sponsor of our sporting club now I have become a regular and couldn't be happier food is priced good and tastes great and service is spot on. Great place for a night out.

Had lunch here today. I had the Pork Belly and my Friend had the Duck, both meals were absolutely devine. Will definately be coming back. Cant recommend them enough :)
