Review Uncle Chan's Chinese Restaurant - Bundaberg

Disappointed. The lady who served us what rude and abrupt. I ordered steamed rice and she said back ‘fried rice’ I said no, steamed rice and she chastised me telling me I must tell her which rice I wanted, like it was my fault she got it wrong. The blandest food we have ever tasted. We tried 3 different dishes and al of them were completely tasteless. Will never go back here, the service was appalling and not at all friendly and sadly the food doesn’t make up for the lack of service. Shame as it was my first time here and I had been looking forward to it.

The delivery guy was nice, just took over an hour and a half. Meal was ok, fried rice was a bit dry and gluggy and the batter from the sweet and sour pork wasn't on the pork, all soggy in the sauce. Chow Mein was good and came with lots of crunchy noodles. King prawn cocktail didnt have much lettuce and was just mayonnaise, not seafood sauce. Would try again but choose different dishes. 🙄

Great service , fair price but frozen sea scallops ( little flavour) a well preped meal though. No dine in, take away only.

Come get your buffet Chinese you pigs! It’s amazing!! Albeit expensive, but goddamn… you can fit $30 of Chinese food into a $20 container if you just BELIEVE!!!

Absolute worst Chinese I have ever had , no flavour , clumps of white gluggy rice in my special fried rice ! My chicken chow mien was unrecognisable, I couldn’t tell you what it was !! Honey king prawns , they must of ran out of king prawns because these were all batter and little prawns . I did read reviews before I ordered , but very dissatisfied. Will not buy from them again !!

Good food, friendly service, and reasonable wait times on orders as food is freshly cooked.

Great food on certain nites has it's ups and downs but when it's a good nite it great food

I like Chinese food and have tried them all,we went to Uncle Chan's for the first time in years and were presently surprised at how his the service was and the meal was to die for. I loved it.

Tried rice with crab meat and scrambled eggs, and one with seasonal vegetables; both tasty, well cooked and satisfying. The large sized meal is definitely worth the money for both quality and quantity; chill, friendly staff, place a bit small and not really cozy but ehy, i was too busy enjoying the food anyway. Recommended

I will start by saying, I never give bad reviews. But I only gave you a 1* because 0 isn't an option! This "meal" was by far (and I'm not exaggerating) the worst meal I have ever had. We dined in & had the smorgasbord. Though we paid for the smorgasbord, we barely ate anything on our plates & couldn't leave soon enough. It was beyond disgusting. Old, terrible and just plain nauseating (literally). My mother spent 10 mins vomiting once we got home. My 5yo exclaimed "Mum, I can't even chew that chicken!" Out of the mouths of babes....Not to mention the rice was like play dough. What a waste of $60-odd dollars!

The staff are very unfriendly and the menu is not much .....the all you can eat buffet across the road for a cpl dollars extra well outdoes this one....very unsatisfied

I have been going here since I was a kid and it's always amazing. I love the uncle chans beef Hotpot. Wish they would come to Rockhampton I miss the Hotpot
