Love the food and service here. Would definitely recommend this place. The food is absolutely delicious. The only reason we don’t go here too often is we have other Thai restaurants closer to home, however when we are wanting to go out with friends or just need our Narai Thai fix, we make sure to get here! The restaurant is quite large and can sometimes feel a bit loud.
It's no lie I am a regular here. From when I first was invited with friends a couple years ago it has never let me down. Best Thai place in the northern suburbs I have been to.
Most veggie plates can be made vegan besides the spring rolls and curry puff starters. My recommend my go-to order green curry and coconut rice.
Verdict: Food is delicious. Service is great! Staff are friendly and knowledgable!
Great food, great ambiance and very good presentation. Feels like authentic and delightful thai food served.
Nice and busy (it was a Friday night), our dinner was all yummy, except for the pad thai that tasted a little too fishy, although others of my party liked it.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff!
Food was quite nice!
Takeaway on a Saturday night for four - we have eaten in numerous times had takeaway countless times both pick up and Uber and if nothing else this place delivers consistently delicious Thai. A staple is a Thai Green Curry and it was excellent with the right amount of heat. Obviously will continue to return.
I found it. The oasis in the desert.
Ventured out to Narai Thai - it was an old favourite in a hood we lived in many moons ago. The 12km trip to get take away was worth it. Curry puffs, spring rolls, red curry, pad see ew and GAI YANG. The only place in YEARS to have done it soooooo well. Everything was still hot even after 12 km drive home. Only whinge? No peanut sauce provided for the roti. As Arnie said, I'll be back. THANK YOU Narai Thai!
Our family dined here for dinner a few nights ago, we really enjoyed it! We had a booking set for 6:30pm and good thing we did, they were extremely busy by 7:30. We had a few orders entrees, and each ordered a main to share. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and the family favourite was the green curry with duck! Prices are leaning towards the high range given the portions sizes of the dishes. Coconut rice is a small serve at $3.90pp which is a bit much (over $30 for plain rice for our family). However, our service was fantastic and our table water was always refilled when empty, and staff was super polite and helpful!

Very Nice and clean thai restaurant. I ordered takeaway from here but the food was amazing! Definitely one of the best in Greensborough!! We sampled the Chilli basil with Prawns, Oyster sauce stir fry with chicken & the Green Curry. My favourite dish was the Chilli basil, it had a great balance of spice and flavour. The Green curry was also very enjoyable and the sauce from the oyster stir fry was delicious.Couldn't fault any dishes!
Great place for thai in the northern suburbs, but worth booking ahead especially on the weekends. Terrific portion sizes, and fast and friendly service. Great for larger groups and the banquets are really filling and very well priced. Good stuff
It’s a very decent Thai food place. Thumbs up for food and drinks. Menu is quite comprehensive and food is authentic. Definitely a nice place for a family dine out. Noise level during weekend may be annoying.
Friend recommended the restaurant and was not disappointed. Had the vegetarian hot and sour soup, prawn spring rolls, grilled beef salad and best of all, the mango sticky rice.
Savoury dishes were flavoursome and light and the sticky rice was great. Sweet mango on top of a small but perfect amount of sticky rice.
Will definitely be back!
I love the traditional Thai food that Narai Thai serve. The food is always fresh and has lots of flavour! I would recommend this place highly.
First of all I would like to say that it was absolutely amazing , the food was great , service was good and the atmosphere was warm and inviting....
I'm giving it a 5 rating because I can sincerely say that the food was delicious .
Could not get any better value for money.. Four of us enjoyed prompt service on busy night . A little noisy but we added to it. Plenty of variety and all choices without fault. Nice pace between courses and a very pleasant two and half hours. No pressure. $ 4.00 corkage and all prices reasonable. Only blip asked for coffee after meals but came early. Forgiven . Everything else better than expected. Will be back.
Based on recommendations from a few northern suburbs folk I gave Narai Thai a Visit, walking thru that door you realise just how popular it is as it was packed !
We sat down and had a good flick thru the menu, too many things to choose but settled on Spring rolls and curry puffs to start, Beef Mussaman curry and Chicken claypot with bean shoot noodles and a side of Coconut rice and Roti.
The flavours were great and the atmosphere was electric in that place and best of all it only cost us $73 all up for what we ate, see a great cheap eat for anyone north of the CBD
I love the chicken curry it's beautiful! Thid place has great environment and food is delicious and staff is very friendly. Will be back again.
Our favourite Thai restaurant in the area. Consistently great food. The roti with satay sauce is to die for and the curries are always on point. Quick service and nice place to dine in!
Great service! Staff were friendly, professional and punctual. Meals were delicious with lovely presentation. Sea food a must! Definately will come back!!!
Dined at Narai Thai last Sunday night for a special occasion dinner - there's been a few of them lately haha. Ordered nine dishes between the four of us - three entrées, five mains and a three person serving of coconut rice. Very impressed again with the presentatiom and high quality of all dishes, which were beautiful to eat. Tom Yum soup was superb, with amazing depth of flavour, as were the mini speing rolls and satay chicken skewers, while the grilled chicken, beef, noodle, vegetable/eggplant and fried rice dishes were perfectly cooked. Just love this restaurant. It is certainly in our top three.
Haven't visited here for a long time and quite looking popular for young group now. All dishes are always very tasty and delicious. The taste became sweeter and tone down spiciness for locals.
I still have fresh memory when they first month opened here, ordered very mild and Thai girls promised me not hot while my whole body was full on fire twice🔥 Certainly I no longer see matured group:D I've never thought they will change spiciness.
Now they have really enjoyable dishes and service is consistently excellent.
Great food & service. Best restaurant in Bundoora. The food tasted authentic. Good serving sizes. The place was extremely busy, yet the food came out very fast. Kid friendly. Worth a try 😁👍🏼
Food is good and service is ok. Especially like the Pad Thai. Being packed all the time I think they should roster more floor staffs to lift up their service. Price is slightly higher than average but the food is delicious.
Very delicious Thai food. Service is also great. Restaurant has a calm and relaxed feel. Would definitely recommend it to everyone. Best Thai!
This is my favorite Thai restaurant! I'm giving them 4.5 because- their clay pot dishes are bland and amount of rice they give you is a bit stingy. Otherwise their food is 5/5. Their service is great and inside is nice unlike their external look. I always order the stir fry with cashew nuts and they are delicious!!! Reasonable price, but when you are sharing plates with others, again the amount of rice they give you is not enough so you would order double the amount. It's BYO as well, so this restaurant would make your night out just the way you like it!
Been to this narai thai a few times now and i think therr may be a few others around?! Parking behind so that comes in handy! Just on plenty road but you cant miss the purple sign!
I always order the usual green curry, pad thai and beef salad with delicious coconut rice!! Everything taste great. Servings are smaller and prices are a lil bit on exxy sides. But always a good place to come for thai!
Service is always good. Does get busy.
Great option for special or group dining. Takeaway portions are bigger & cheaper than dining in. We had massaman curry (lovely) and pad thai (bland). Takeaway was ready in the advised 20-min timeframe.
Had thai for the first time in years the other night and glad my partner and i chose this place. Beautiful service, the food was so flavoursome and fresh it's made me want more. You're paying for quality.
Great ambience and super busy for a Wednesday night.
We had the green curry, red curry, Prawn Claypot and of course Roti.
The flavours in the curry were subtle relative the "in your face" hit that seems to be the trend these days.
The Roti was amazing and the Claypot was nice. Overall it was a good experience with the higher than expected prices the only down side.
This has to be one of the best Thai restaurants in the North. Always get great food here. Food is very fresh and there is a lot so always leave here satisfied. Staff are also very friendly.
Awesome Thai food in the local suburbs.
We always get takeaway - cheaper and bigger servings.
We end up saving heaps by doing this.
Probably not worth the money dining in.
Came here on a Saturday night with some friends for dinner. Ordered the curry puffs and Satay skewers for entree, followed by green chicken curry & red duck curry for main which was shared with my wife, accompanied by some coconut rice. For dessert I opted for a banana fritter served with maple syrup and ice cream. Overall each dish was delicious, I particularly enjoyed the satay skewers and the green curry. Service was also faultless and each dish was brought out without delay. Would definitely recommend if you're after some great Thai food in the Bundoora area.
This place is definitely one of my favourite restaurants. Every meal I have eat has been fantastic and I get take away from this restaurant all the time! 10/10
Always seems to be fairly busy and booked out but food arrives quickly and tastes amazing. I recommend the chicken satay, golden bags or tom yum soup for entree, then try a chicken green curry and pad thai for main. Very authentic. Not too expensive and servings are generous. Especially pleased with their customer service here. Staff never fail to smile and greet you with a warm welcome. They're very courteous and well-mannered. Comfortable seating and great ambiance provided. They also have options for inside or outside dining. Good place to catch up with friends.
Good local thai. Much better than others in the area. Food isn't super expensive in comparison. Good variety. Excellent service. Can't believe how quickly food comes out considering the amount of people dining. Very fast. Definitely not the best thai, but still good for the area.
If I am getting Thai food I go to Narai Thai. The restaurant is lovely and the staff always friendly and accommodating. Food is always good, I always order the Massaman curry and it's great every time. Good cocktails at the bar as well.
Never had a bad experience here. Food is always delicious and they are very accomodating with children. They give out plenty of smiles and enjoy serving their customers.
Great place to eat. Staff very friendly & restaurant always clean & welcoming. Food was way to salty though which is such a shame! Very accomodating for our children though.
The place is spacious and there tends to be space for walk-ins, parking on the other hand can go full. Aside from that, food was great and authentic, reasonably priced, portions were standard and good for sharing. The service time was a bit of a wait, and staff gave me an impression of being a bit of unfriendly esp we had a rowdy table with a toddler, infant and a newborn. They are good and efficient with take-aways too.
So there are plenty of Thai places that are much closer to us but refuse to go anywhere else other than Narai Thai in Bundoora. Ordered take away & drove 20 minutes to pick up our order of Moo Yang Pork, Pad Thai, Chicken Panang Curry, Beef Penang Curry served with Roti Bread & Coconut Rice. All that was to feed six people with plenty of leftovers still left. As always we were not disappointed. Efficient, friendly service, generous portions & well priced.
Love love LOVE this place and all the staff that are there. The atmosphere is great and always kept neat and clean. Food is perfect and great value for money. Very Highly recommend to anyone
One of my favourite Thai places in the northern suburbs. Have been coming here for years and always our go-to Thai place. Definitely recommend the pad thai, gai yang, goo yang and the curry puffs are amazing!! The staff are lovely and welcoming too!
One of the better Thai places in the north eastern suburbs.
Have never had an issue with the staff and the food is very good for the price. I do recommend going with the noodle or stir fry dishes (Pud Se Ewe or Pud Puk) as they are consistent. The Gang Keon Whan has been hit or miss a times I've ordered it as it can be a bit runny.
Stick with the others and you're good to go.

What the exterior lacks in curb appeal , the formal interior makes up for triple-fold: fitted out much nicer than most, full of comfortable chairs, Narai Thai has all the promise of a brilliant dining experience.
All I can say is fantastic food, fantastic service and great atmosphere . Went here for my sons birthday on Sunday and all I can say is that the staff and chefs here made it a memorable night . Keep up the good work guys .
Fantastic!. Absolutely love this restaurant. Every single time my fiancé and I have been there, the service has been impeccable and the food delicious! Definitely one our favourites!
Nice atmosphere, quick service and wonderful food!
Hands down best Thai. Everything about this place is on point.
We've been here many a time, the service is always great, the food faultless.
The ambience is great and never too loud given how full the place can get.
If you're in the northern suburbs and into Thai food it's a must go.
Best place to have Thai in Melbourne. The owners are the BEST and the staff are fantastic. Awesome food and great service. Absolutely love the place
Great venue for a private celebration!. I recently held my 50th birthday in the front area of the restaurant. The space was a good size for 60 people. I was able to BYO some wine then people could purchase extra drinks at the bar. The food was great, we had the banquet and there was ample food. The staff were very helpful, allowing us to have the tables set up and some decorations in the afternoon. Friends made my cake and were very impressed by how helpful the staff were in assisting them to put the final touches to the cake, One of their comments was "impeccable customer service". These 2 ladies are chefs and teach hospitality. So this is a real compliment!
Dinner with friends sund night. Great food & service. Prawn, mushroom & asparagus stir fry exceptionally good.
Best in the area. Been here many times now. Our favourite local restaurant. Service is ok, but food is great. Recommend their beef stir fry and chicken massaman, good quality meat used and cooked beautifully.
Nice and authentic. I have always been a fan of Thai food. Narai Thai was a lovely restaurant, great food and service
Yummy. Great service and fantastic food! One of my favorite places!
GREAT. The service was spot on and the food was beautiful
Absolutely love this place. Curry puffs are amazing!
Not traditional but nice anyway. Friendly staff, modernish decor, clean. Food is always nice here I've never been totally blown away with the flavours, but I've never been disapointed either. Consistantly good.
Place to go with family that is local and always easy to get a table .Food is good and so is service :) , better places around but a good local
Not bad for a local - service is friendly and prompt. Food is ok, but prefer way more green veggies rather than filling the dish with cheap onions!
Love it, best Thai restaurant. Food is amazing. Staff are friendly.
Excellent Food, Excellent Service. Contrary to the bad experience of a couple of reviewers published on this site, my Fiance and I have been diners at Narai Thai for a number of years now. We're always drawn back for the quality of food and generous proportions served, not to mention the excellent service recieved from all of the staff there! Well done to all at Narai Thai and keep up the great work!! Easily the best Thai restaurant in Bundoora, if not Melbourne!!
One of my favs. Living locally, I come here for great thai food that never fails to impress! Delicious yummy dishes with a lovely setting to go along with it.

Really lovely setting- quite fancy which was unexpected. The food was delicious, fresh and the serving sizes were perfect. Good wines to choose from and kind staff. They were happy to ensure my meal was GF. We shall return for dine in or take away. Beautiful balanced and fresh Thai food.
Have eaten here many times. Food is always good, service is good and the ambience fir a suburban restaurant is excellent. Just a little in the pricey side.
Great. I was never a fan if Thai food, but this place has changed my mind completely. My friend and I usually get the green curry with coconut rice. The staff are friendly and the service is pretty quick.
It’s basically like our second dining room here! We come here at least once a week and it’s without any doubt the best restaurant around. The food is always perfectly delicious and the staff are absolutely amazing. We really enjoy the company of Sam, Stef and the whole gang.
I can’t recommend this place enough.
Nice food I have heard raves about this place. It may have been nice instead of great as it was takeaway and it was a journey home to eat. Will dine in soon and am sure it will rank as great food@
Very popular Thai restaurant in Bundoora.
The mood of this place is classy and gives the impression that there is serious Thai cuisine happening here. It features a large seating space, elegantly decorated with comfortable seating and traditional Thai decor.
Staff were quick to accommodate for us. We ordered the Tom Kha soup for starters which is the perfect dish to warm up with on a cold evening. It was zesty and delicious.
Main was stir fry veggies with chicken, which was also flavoursome. Roti was fresh and served with peanut sauce.
