Service and food here are both incredible, I cannot recommend this place enough :)
Went on a fried chicken adventure tonight. Weekday night the place wasnt too busy. But the fried chicken was soooo good! We had it with two flavours and I loved both flavour. The cheese pancake was super yummy too! Also ordered a spicy seafood soup, which was full of punchy flavour! Definitely one of the best fried chicken I have had in Melbourne!
I love this Korean place! The food is always so fresh and tasty. The corn cheese is incredible. I’ve tried a few things from the menu and each item has been delicious!! The meals come in good portions and aren’t too pricey.
The staff are friendly also, I’m glad I found this place on Zomato !

I ordered Chicken Bulgogi which comes with white rice on the side and Seafood Pancake to share. The seafood pancake was one of those dishes which you get hooked to and can’t stop eating.
Chicken Bulgogi was abit salty but overall it tasted good.
This was a dinner spot for me with a friend up north. Get reservations to avoid any disappointment from the weekend crowd :)... The staff was really attentive despite the crowd and a very good service received.
We got the spicy pork bulgogi(with an extra rice) and their buns(baos) from each pork beef and fried chicken. The spicy pork bulgogi was lore than enough for 2 people with that extra rice. However, the pork was too dry there though I did really like the flavour.
The steam buns of theirs is the just try if you're here. Such soft buns with succulent proteins inside them, so good!
This is a very good place for a casual Korean experience given the expensive nature of other Korean spots
Came here on a Friday night at 7pm and the restaurant was packed! At first look, the menu is a little pricey however servings were quite large. We loved the kim chi pancake with cheese and bacon! The bacon gave it a smokey taste, it was unusual but very tasty. The japchae was very flavoursome and so was the beef bulgogi quesadilla :)
friendly staff, quality food. Recommend the pork set which is so~~~~good. Will be back again, two dishes with extra one rice is logical price. I need more cheese for the hot chicken next time.
I love ASSA it is the best restaurant in the polaris precinct, also a much needed delicious Korean eatery this side of town. I’m never disappointed with the fried chicken and love the tofu bulgolgi. The mushroom japcahe is also a winner and a large serving size for the price. They also have good milk tea, which is hard to find in this area. My go to delicious we’ll priced dinner place.
Delicious and authentic Korean food! All meals were very flavoursome, were large portion sizes and staff were really friendly. Will definitely be back!
I’ve been here on 3 occasions. I had the hot stone pot bibimbap (beef) recently. It was extremely delicious. The serving portion was huge. For $16 it was very much worth the money! The different textures of all the ingredients combined tastes flavourful and balanced. 😋
Two previous occasions I had the beef japchae but i found it too sweet. The portion size was also huge and by the end I was struggling to finish it as it was just too sweet on my palate.
I will definitely be back for the bibimbap, but not the japchae.
That's a wonderful experience for having a dinner here. The waiters all provide a high quality of service. I very recommend spicy hot pot. Its tast surprised me and I hundred percent sure that I will come here again!
Each time we have been here the food has been great, the service friendly and helpful, the food timely. The chicken has always been so juicy and tasty. The calamari rings were to die for. I always look forward to going back.
Only issue we've had is they are still providing plastic straws.
Our favourite place for lunch during the work week. Staff are friendly and very responsive. The food of course is the highlight. Always delicious and very well priced as well. This is our go to for when we want a good place to eat.
Loving that there is a local korean restaurant in the area. Visited a couple of times now and staff are always friendly and food is always up to standard.

Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and happy to fulfill any and all requests! A large range of Korean dishes to choose from with the option of some sharing dishes. I had the teriyaki chicken bulgogi and my friends had the beef yakisoba and the seafood yakisoba. We also got a side of spring rolls and loads of extra kimchi. All was to die for and I can’t recommend highly enough! Oh and I can’t forget their milk tea is delicious
Great food and fast service! Presentation and atmosphere is good too. We got bibimbap and grilled pork belly, love the side dishes and pricing is value for money!
Went there last week, was super impressed by the food. The beef and mushroom hot pot was delicious. The beef was initially clumped together but the staff came around to cut it so that was fine. The japchae was awesome and everything else that we ordered was yummy. The only downside was that there was no bingsu that night which we were looking forward to. Overall it was a great meal with polite staff, definitely recommend it and will be going back!

This place is my favorite Korean restaurant, the food is amazing, the price is a bit high but for the portion is very very worth, i love it so much, the space is really nice as well, the staff is friendly, overall is good. But every time I came there and was asked to sit in the corner, the staff didn’t really notice, because it’s hard to see from there, but they didn’t even check us, but anw, we don’t mind too much because the quality of food is soooo good

Walk in place was packed still was able to get a table, that's nice. Food was surprisingly quick and impeccably delicious. Service was great too. Although you had to pay extra if you're paying credit. Aside from that it was much better than before they've had few more dish to offer.
Ordered the Assam chips, bibimbap, and mixed Korean Fried chicken. The chips were nice even if a bit basic, as expected for an entre. Bibimbap arrived hot and on par with the ones I’ve had in the city, no complaints there. The marinate on the KFC was sweet and spicy and the hot ones were hot (it was a mixed plate of mild/spicy). The chicken was moist and not dry. The portions were quite big so you won’t be hungry.
Definitely will be coming back again.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service and a wide range of food. A must try for Korean cuisine! The service is very quick and food quality is above standard as well.
Happy to have a Korean restaurant in the area. Food was tasty and really liked their unique specials. The citrus yakult is recommended. Definitely a great place to go to hang out with friends without having to go to one near or in the city.
I enjoyed! Thought it would be nice to try something new other than the usual Chinese or Vietnamese which is everywhere in the North...and was pleasantly surprised. Nicely fitted out, modern, lovely attentive staff and meals were quick to come out. Went in a small group and perhaps didn't make the best food choices...probably needed to be a little bit more diverse as a lot of the dishes shared a similar flavour profile but very enjoyable nonetheless. A little on the sweet side, but i kind of expected that from Korean and will be sure to head back soon to try all the other dishes i had my eye one. Saw a couple sharing a nice big hot pot...definitely had food envy. Overall, a nice little addition to the hub of Polaris Asian eateries.
Great food. Amazing food to be precise. People who can’t eat food without alcohol eating this down must be crazy. You want booze go to a bar. Only fault I found was the waitress took no notes and mucked up the order. Next time if she comes out without a notepad I’ll ask her to repeat my order. But even when 2 of the dishes came out wrong they were still great.
One of the best Korean places in all of Melbourne. Used to drive all the way to Carnegie for good Korean but this place is heaven for the northern suburbs.

Food was pretty good, and big servings are great. However like a lot of other people said, the service is not prompt enough. Seated along the window, waited at least 20 minutes to order because nobody came down there, was getting ready to get up and leave... otherwise good experience.
Assa Korean Eatery was definitely needed for Korean food in this area! This is my go-to local Korean restaurant.
I would recommend the Beef Bulgogi Quesadilla, Potato Croquettes, Kimchi Pancake (this is a big one!) and the Kimchi & Sausage Hotpot that feeds a minimum of 2 people. Their milk teas are also delicious.
I wish it would be like how it is in Korea where you receive your little side dishes (banchan) first, as soon as you've ordered. Their kimchi and fish cake is great.
The food is always good however the service could be improved. As I have always visited with my partner, we are usually seated along the window for couples and since it’s around a corner, it’s like we’re in the no service zone. 😂 From now on we try to be seated at the front of the restaurant. They may forget things you have already ordered every now and then.

I could even take away the army stew!! The pork bone Stew is also a favourite! Oh, certainly the fried chicken as well.

I went there twice and very enjoyed there, the service is good and food are somehow cheaper than other Korean cuisine, a hotpot are big enough and price are valuable, will highly recommend

Finally a Korean restaurant has opened in the Northern suburbs. They have been open for 3 weeks now. We came here for lunch and the place was quite busy. There were two floor staff on, the male waiter in particular was really friendly and looked like he enjoyed working there. Being a new restaurant, I thought they did pretty well. The service was prompt and the food came out within a reasonable amount of wait time. We ordered a seafood pancake to share which was probably one of the worst I've had as it was doughy containing too much flour. The sauce that accompanied it was good though and the price at $13.00 was reasonable. The other two dishes tasted much better, the beef bulgogi and seafood stew. However, the price is on the pricier side. They also served a selection of side dishes that tasted great and they allowed refills which was a bonus! I would love to return to try their fried chicken and larger hot pot dishes.

We had a Pork back bone&potato hot pot and Ginseng Chicken soup. It's hard to find Korean restaurant does common Korean soup dishes well. The quality of food was great & soup was nicely flavored to my Korean standard. We are back again to try Fried chicken, spicy cold noodle & seafood pancake one week after. Looking forward to seeing this restaurant do well for a long time as this is first Korean in this area! Well equipped with many high chairs & helpful staff. Only comment would be the size of bowl which was too small to have the massive pork bone meat, nonetheless still enjoyed our food very much & staff was friendly even if our kids made a lot of mess..It would be nice to see bit of free side dishes like the typical Korean meal but it wouldn't stop me going there.
This place is my new favourite dinner spot! We went on a Friday night with friends and were greeted by the nicest staff and they catered to all our needs from the very beginning. They were helpful, and also made great suggestions about what to eat. We ordered 3 entrees and 3 mains to share amongst three of us, all of which came out very quick and were all fresh and delicious! The fried chicken and beef bulgogi sizzling plates were definitely stand out dishes though! We were so surprised at the value for money, as the bill ended up coming to roughly $20 each and we had ordered more than enough food! The atmosphere is lovely and the interior is clean and modern. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough! 5/5!
Finally Korean food in the North! Really good one as well! Had the fried chicken, corn cheese, tteokboki and fried rice (forgot its korean name) and absolutely loved it! Being a local there is no need to travel to the city anymore! Oh, great service as well :)
Definitely one of the best Korean restaurants I have ever been to. The service is great, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is delicious! They have definitely got my business again and I will rave to all my friends about this restaurant. To sum this up, you must eat here as it accommodates for all types of tastes whilst also keeping the original Korean flavours, and most importantly it’s DELICIOUS!!
Finally a Korean restaurant in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne!! Lovely aesthetic, spacious and very clean too!! Beautiful food. Fried chicken was so flavourful and it was beautifully spiced. We loved the boneless chicken. The dul bak was very spicy but it still tasted very good. Customer service was lovely!! I can't wait to watch this place grow and prosper. We will be back!!

Excellent food and service. New restaurant in the area. Can stand out from other Asian eateries in the area if they have consistency of service. Don't let that slip guys and you will do well.

It's always a risk trying a brand new restaurant when they first open . Often they struggle to meet the mark.
This was not the case at Assa Korean when we dined here during their first week open . The staff were great and confident and it was like they had been open for months .
The decor is modern and very comfortable and the menu is extensive without being over the top .parking is very easy and there's lots of it .
We had 2 entrees , the Potato Croquettes & Bibim Dumplings which were both very good . The Beef sizzling platter was also good ( could have been just a little hotter) and the Seafood Pancake was excellent . Be mindful that the serves are large ( even if your sharing ) so don't over order .
The meals come out very quickly and all together , which is something they could look at , maybe entrees together , then mains together would work better (just a suggestion) .
They are not licensed yet but I'm sure that will happen soon .
We both thought that if they are this good in the first week then they are well on the way to becoming a first rate establishment very quickly . Looking forward to going back to try other menu selections
