Delicious food, friendly service. Love eating here. The mushroom dosa is yum!
Could not recommend Flavours more highly, best Indian in the area. Absolutely could not fault a single thing in our meal so have to give them 5 stars. We ordered:
-Butter Chicken (delicious flavourful and creamy)
-Lamb Korma (slightly spicey and melted in your mouth)
-Garlic Naan (LOTS of garlic which i like and buttery)
-Poppadoms (i don’t like poppadoms but i liked these)
Our meal arrived within 25 mins when it was estimated to arrive in 30. Very efficient and polite.
It was so good we saved the leftover sauce to use in rice tomorrow!
Came here on a voucher, and we got a very satisfying dining experience at this restaurant. They did all the right thing to win over a new customer. Highly recommended.
If you're a student looking for a quick homestyle meal, look no further than Flavours. Spent only $10 on a big serving of chicken tikka biryani and a can of soft drink! The biryani was flavourful and had a lovely texture! It was accompanied by a fresh yogurt dip to balance the mild spice! Serving was very cultural as well as the overall decor. Highly recommend this restaurant for a taste of India in Bundy!
Good food, fast service. Really enjoyed my masala dosa and daal. Fitout and service are homestyle but comfortable. Will be back for more dosa
Best fish curry around. Third time here and we're getting to know the menu. The dosas are tasty. Be sure to order one level milder than you are accustomed to. They love their chilli here. The banquet is all you can eat curries as well.
Edit 23/3/19: Now living in Templestowe we have tried a few Indian restaurants around the area and nothing compares to Flavours that we had to go back. This is definitely my favourite place that I had to write an updated review that it deserves.
Last night we ordered:
Butter chicken, spice hot - very creamy and delicious. I felt like hot spice was a medium. 10/10.
Chicken tikka masala, spice medium - this is the most delicious tikka I’ve had. Full of flavour, spice level medium is perfect for an amateur like me who wants a little hit but also enjoying the dish. Highly recommend 10/10.
Chicken vindaloo - this is a spicy curry that my partner enjoys. It is full of rich flavours and in his words ‘perfect’. 10/10.
We also ordered naan and keema naan. As a meat lover if you haven’t tried the keema naan you’ve got to it a shot!
All the curries has a lot of chicken pieces and the takeaway box was full of saucy curry just the way I like it! Can’t wait to go back again :)

Food is delicious and have never had any issues with our takeaway order. Definitely recommend for the people around this area. (We are having this for dinner tonight!)
I recently placed a big order for samosas with this restaurant-70 samosas to be picked up at noon on Saturday. My fear was that the samosas may be made the night before and warmed up after I arrive to pick up the order. Oh boy was I wrong! I was nearly an hour late in coming to pick up the order and they rang me no less than 3 times within that hour (I missed the first 2 calls) cause they were concerned that the samosas will cool down because of my delay and therefore won't taste as good! Well they still tasted fantastic and were a huge hit at the party. Big thumbs up for Flavours! Will definitely come back again! :)
There must have been some change of hands for this place because we reviewed them a couple of years back and it seems to be MIA (and it wasn't a bad review either!). But that was then, this is now! Regarding their fit-out, which was something we commented on originally - they've improved greatly since then - there's more decor, and more liveliness and colour than before. Granted, it might not be to everybody's taste (especially in Melbourne where fit-outs can be incredible), but we're talking Indian restaurant in suburbia - so to give credit where credit is due, they're better than most in their league ;) Now onto the most important bit, the food. And let's use some letters now: OMG! Yup, you read right O. M. G. A couple of weeks ago I picked up takeaway from here on my way to a friend's place and had THE BEST EVER eggplant curry! For real! BEST EVER and that's saying A LOT from a woman who has eaten at more than 60 Indian restaurants! And their Shahi Paneer - a great match to the bold eggplant curry because it's soft, rich and perfectly infused with cardamon. It was so good that I told Hubby Bear and we went again (just to make sure I wasn't dreaming) and I am SO glad we did - we ordered the eggpant curry and shahi again and it was off the hook! We're talking, NEW FAVE FOR THIS BEAR!!! The naans are good, a little on the 'flat' side for us (we like them a little more fluffy along with crispness too) - but we really liked the sprinkles of colour from fresh coriander and fresh sliced garlic on them (as opposed to the typical smears of jarred garlic most places serve --- but we love garlic, so we won't begrudge the other kind either). In short - Flavours is becoming a hard one to beat in our book... Give them a try -- order takeaway or pop in, if the rest of their menu is anything like my beloved eggplant and shahi curries - you're in for a treat! WOOT!
