I would highly recommend their prawn dumplings as well as veggie dumplings.
Also, try their Lemon Tea (Hot) which is quiet amazing.

I came here a few times before. The pork pan fried dumplings are really good! Their portion sizes are quite big. And for under $10 the pan fried dumplings are definitely worth it. ☺️

We ordered Mongolian beef, fried pork dumplings and chive egg dumplings. It was delicious and came with a big portion.

Came with my partner a few weeks ago to have mini pork buns which is xiao long bao and the pumpkin cake as well.as one of the noodle. Really friendly staff and authentic chinese food. Highly recommend it.
I usually don't have a high expectation for suburban restaurant and so when I arrive here lunch I didn't expect they turn out to be good. I really like their dumpling selection. I love everything of it.
I dun like dumplings, but my friends live around, so we give it try. Not bad, friendly staff and l love the dessert with taro also the pumpkins. Really cheap. Will be back again. BTW the prawn one is better than the egg one.
All time favorites place for a quick meal before badminton. Loved their Dumplings and also stuff fry tomato with egg.

Came here for some dumplings with a friend. Quite a large variety of items to choose from. Portion sizes are great.. good value for money. Pan fried pork dumplings came out crispy and hot- delicious! They were huge too! Sweet and sour pork was delicious and fried rice was fine. Service was friendly. The restaurant itself was spacious and modern, however looked a little empty. Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to come back :)

Venue was quite modern and has its unique decoratio n and it's spacious overall.
Dumpling is juicy and was perfectly cooked. But the restaurant is quite empty which I don't understand. Overall I would recommend them

Came here for a bite to eat during lunch when everything else was closed or looked dodgy.
Chose a Szechuan beef and sat in the window and watched the world go by.
Staff were lovely and service was fast.
Food was an excellent portion size, very tasty and plenty of all ingredients.
Located away from the chemist warehouse and Dan Murphy’s its popular with students and clearly has some regulars.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Plenty of parking. Takeaway available.
I strongly recommend Mongolia Beef on sizzling plate and chive and egg dumplings. And they comes with a big portion with a reasonable price, I will definitely come again.
So happy to see this dumpling restaurant seems to have had a makeover! Love the comfy new chairs and the refreshed clean tables. Even the service seems to have improved. The wait staff are more friendly and make sure they understand your order. Such great value for money; the dumplings are delicious and so cheap. Will definitely eat here again.

I was a bit concerned reading these reviews, so as for my Pan-fried Pork dumplings concerns .... there's nothing wrong with it, skin is a little thicker than usual, they don't stick together, meat is juicy and good and definitely value for money at $9.90 for 15 pieces.

Amazing dumplings! I would highly recommend the Singaporean noodles and the pan fried pork dumplings. We ordered take away and the service was great.
Food is great but the service is poor at times. Large minimum.on eftpos for such a heap eat. Sometimes hard to orddr enough to meet the minimum.
Broccoli in oyster sauce is amazing, beautiful chicken and sweet corn soup, amazing chicken san choi boy and out of this world dumplings...great value and extremely fresh. love this place
I have a love hate relationship with this place. The dumplings are really good and consistent over the years. Definitely my favourite in the area and they do come out fast. However, the service is beyond pathetic and is worse than the standard poor service you get at similar restaurants. They also have a minimum eftpos of around $40 which is ridiculous and unnecessary. Over the past 3 years I've been eating here, prices are slowing increasing at 50c increments which can be frustrating because it feels like you're slowly being ripped off. Still cheap overall though and I continue to somewhat reluctantly keep going back for the quality.
Today I visited this restaurant for the first time and ordered an entree of dumplings followed by their 'special fried rice'.
Honestly, after reading the reviews, I can say that most of them are untrue. The staff were fast and friendly, the food was timely and delicious and although the place was full, the waitresses were patient and always on-point.
I had an amazing time eating here and am definitely going to return in the future.

This place is delish. Always busy and bustling but never a long wait for a table. Dumplings are very fresh and tasty, servings are generous for the prices. Staff are welcoming and friendly.
Was around Bundoora around lunch time so randomly walked into this Chinese place.
Had the dumplings - it was average, nothing to scream about, but weren't terrible either.
Overall, a quick and easy meal that satisfied our lunch hunger.
We ate here on a thursday night at 6pm and made a booking - lucky we did because these guys fill up very fast! Pork dumplings, veg dumplings and chicken & prawn were all tasty! Ordered fried rice and asian veggies in oyster sauce. Cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back
Yum! This is the oyster sauce chicken noodle soup. It was really tasty and for a busy place the service wasn't too bad.

Great value for money. Service needs a little more attention but can't complain for cheap and good Chinese food. You pay for what you get. Went with a big group of 10 and got to try a lot of dishes. Pan fried dumplings are jam packed with heaps of meat and filling (unlike other places where they are quite stingy in this aspect). Also recommend the glutinous puffs with vegetables in hot pot, Sizzling beef and vegetables on hot plate, Fried whole fish in sweet and sour sauce. Cost pp was $26 which is not bad considering we were all rolling out of there. Will definitely go again! Will be my new go to Chinese restaurant in the burbs.

Don't believe some of the reviews below!. We live close Polaris and frequent Mimi's regularly, both dine-in and takeaway. It is NOWHERE near Maneys dumplings which is 3kms away in Bundoora square shopping centre, is not "nearby/around the corner" as some reviewers claim...they are either being deliberately misleading or have the wrong restaurant!
We are not friends/family of Mimi's owners (but perhaps some of those praising Maneys and slamming Mimi's are friends/family of Maneys' owners?)...we have found the food and service to be all fine...yes if they're busy with both the restaurant and takeaway service may be a little slow at times, but do you want you food hot and properly cooked? We have taken friends there and they've been very happy with it too! So suggest some reviewers are deliberately slamming the competition or expect too much (it's not pretending to be the Flower Drum!!!)
Also, judging by the number of "non Anglo" clients, it must pass muster with people for whom this is their traditional diet!
Thursday means dumplings!. Every Thursday my associate and I make the journey to Mimi's dumpling kitchen for lunch. We have the same order every week which never let's us down. The only improvement could be friendlier staff and better grocery. It keeps us coming back!
We visit every week. Their dishes are really tasty. Hot spicy fish almost same level of dainty Sichuan for less than half the price. Also chilli pepper calamari, dry pot chicken, lamb pot are favourite. Dumplings are ok. Waiters are bit slow. A place for feast without heading to city. Highly recommend as a Chinese.

The service however leave much to be desired, staff more interested in their mobile phones than serving customers. Getting a drink for example, I got a look from the waiter (I use them term loosely!) like it was a huge inconvenience to get me a cold drink! Yes, they need to ditch the plastic bowls, spoons and cups, they're really tacky and at times still wet out of the dishwasher. Hopefully the owner can hear of this feedback.
Delicious dumplings. I have been at Mimi's for lunch and dinner. I keep returning for the yummy dumplings and tea! They have soup dumplings, friend dumplings, steamed dumplings. They have other items on the menu which I have yet to try, but no doubt I will. Their portions are decent and good value for money. If you're in the northern suburbs and cannot be bothered cooking at home, Mimi's is a great place to eat at.
My go to order here is wonton soup, chicken and prawn dumplings or fried rice. You definitely should give it a go. I also like the ambience of the restaurant, feel very homey.

Have had take away from here a few times now. Been happy every time. The sweet and sour sauce is very tangy and sour (delicious), not the thick sweet pink stuff. Dumplings are good and spring onion pancake is great. Fried rice was a touch oily for me but that's just personal preference. Will be going back
