The absolute best of the best We came from Brisbane and you guys did not disappoint. Awesome staff, delicious food, brilliant cocktails. Can't wait to come back.
This is by far the best restaurant on the Gold Coast. We have been here twice and the food is to die for...the taste sensation is brilliant. The great staff who are so friendly and knowledgeable, just makes for a great night. Obviously the Chef does a brilliant job as well. Thanks Jimmy Wahs we’ll be back 👌🏽
Yum every dish is fresh and full of delicate fresh flavours. The cocktails are also full of flavor!!
I love it. The best food and the best service. Staff go above and beyond to make sure you walk away happy (and always full!). The freshest flavours and beautiful setting - my favourite restaurant on the Gold Coast!
Said “Feed me” for a table of 4 adults & 1 child and we were off for a Gastronomic journey. The girls working the floor were warm & so accommodating with us. Every dish was delicious & carefully dished up. We enjoyed the winelist that it has been curated by Shelly, drunk 1 bottle of Lethdbridge Pinot Gris & 1 bottle of Greystone Pinot Noir. Thank you team Jimmy Wahs Burleigh Heads for your service & the overall dining experience.
The food was absolutely sensational and the manager was just a delight. Great food and service like this these days is hard to find. A great afternoon was had by our family this Sunday afternoon 👍🏼
Sensational food. Soooo tasty, modern Vietnamese. Recommend the degustation. Our waitress was superb! We did Sunday lunch, she recommended dishes and also for our little one. These staff make it!

Great food on Sunday afternoon. 2 gluten intolerant and one coeliac. No dramas for them and we all loved it.
Just had a great night at Jimmy Wah's. Food was excellent , atmosphere fabulous and the staff just perfect.
Great food, even better service. Experience the best on the Coast
The most exceptional service, unbelievable food, such a great night
Big shout out to Jake and all the staff at Jimmy Wah’s.
absolutely blown away by the “feed me” menu.
Some of the most flavoursome food I’ve ever eaten!!!
Great food, great atmosphere and a great team - a perfect dinner from start to end!
Had a delicious dinner last night including the spring rolls they were so delicious we called past and got some as take away
I have arranged to go down to the Gold Coast for the celebration of my birthday.
First food journey was booked for this renowned restaurant at Burleigh Heads.
Service of all staff is very hospitable and friendly.
Due to the fact that we have another appointment for massage in the afternoon so we do not aim to be very full for the lunch. Hence, we ordered five dishes to share between two of us.
Tempura oyster is marvelous particularly with the chili mayo and black tobiko.
Cured yellowfin is very fresh.
Chicken dumplings come with silky pastry and tasteful filling.
Steamed buns with pulled beef short ribs earn much of our appreciation.
Wok-tossed squid should be the hero, which is well balanced with the sauce and herbs. Good to go with steamed rice.
Overall, we love the inspiration of fused Vietnamese elements in every dishes and it should be the way to upgrade the Asian cuisines.
Good on you - Jimmy Wah
Amazing food, friendly service and super accommodating. We had the "just feed me" banquet and it was awesome. Great to know this feed me menu changes every night too. Definitely will be back.
Amazing Food. Excellent service. Fantastic cocktails. First visit was a set menu on New Years Eve. Fabulous. Menu items were not what we would usually pick, but were fantastic. Second time we tried some different menu items and again Amazing. Will definitely be returning.
My favourite cuisine is modern Asian or Asian fusion, so Jimmy Wah’s is right up my alley. We had actually hoped to go to the Fish House on our trip to the coast but it was closed for a function so we decided on the spot to go to Jimmy Wah’s. I think the Fish House being closed was a blessing in disguise to be quite honest. The food was absolutely incredible.
To begin, we ordered the “Large Bahn Mi” which was a baguette that has tempura soft shell crab, slaw, coriander and chilli ($13.00). We also ordered the Yellowfin tuna sashimi with wasabi pea, daikon, shiso and soy dressing ($18.00). Lastly, we ordered snapper and crab dumplings with mirin and white soy ($14.00).
The soft shell crab bahn mi was like something I’d never had before. It was flavoursome and the crab was succulent. I would most definitely recommend ordering this, especially considering the great value for money getting something that big with crab for only $13. My favourite item of the day was the Yellowfin tuna sashimi. It was comparable to the kingfish sashimi at Chin Chin (a favourite restaurant of mine in Melbourne)...

Thanks!!
Bags of flavour!! Have dined here several times and walked away happy every time. Will definitely return again and highly recommend! Vietnamese food with a modern twist.
4 times here from Melbourne - one of the best. Great service & great food. A great experience for foodies. Order as much as you can. Fun wines & great cocktails. Top 5 on the Gold Coast. Just go.
This week I was either working or hunting for monsters so it was time to get out and drive down to the beautiful Gold Coast on Sunday.
Jimmy Wah is a vietnamese x australian restraunts located in the heart of Burleigh Heads with beach just few minutes walk and many more attractive restaurants and cafes nearby.
They do Banquet style on Sundays where you can choose 6 dishes ($45 per person) or 6 dishes + bottomless beer and bubbles for ($75 per person).
Went with $45 pp and chose crispy spring roll, betel leaf angus beef, siracha chicken, fried squid, soft shell crab with papaya salad and pulled pork bao.
For drink, ordered cocktail, it was something like mix of pandan, coconut and egg white.🍴
Each dishes were presented beautifully. I especially liked betel leaf angus beef which was refreshing yet mouthwatering beef taste which was such a great combination. Other dishes did not stand out and wasnt the best I had but was enjoyable nevertheless. Pictures seems to be a small portion to share for two but we were both very full at the end of course.
Atmosphere was very relaxed yet stylish with friendly attentive staff members. Thanks for relaxing Sunday.
Phenomenal, such a calm and relaxing meal. The service was so lovely and attentive. Every dish was amazing, especially the crispy spring rolls and the pork buns. I could not recommend it more highly.
You're just as well off to get the feed me menu because you'll end up spending close to $59pp regardless. I dined here as a group of five on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was full. The food is on the expensive side but I really enjoyed everything I ate. Our food was also quite staggered leaving me pretty hungry for the large plates. The coconut sauce on the half chicken was so yummy and wish there was a little more. The dumplings have an amazing texture and the pork belly with pineapple was beautifully presented and delicious.
Delicious food and in great location on the Gold Coast Highway in Burleigh Heads across from the beach. Asian fusion, mostly Japanese and Vietnamese inspired with small but beautiful bites to eat. They do have larger plates, but either way, everything is very costly. So if you're having one or two drinks be prepared to spend about $100+ for two people.
The Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi, Tempura Zucchini Flowers and Soft Shell Crab Banh Mi were absolutely lit, definitely recommend getting these.

The flavors are worth paying for in my opinion. I've left too many restaurants spending big dollars and only to find the experience is long forgotten by time Monday comes around. The food here is memorable and addictive and that's money well spent!
Usually don't love Pan-Asian joints and was careful not to expect too much on holiday in Burleigh (especially as a coeliac) but we had a really nice dinner at Jimmy Wah's!
The decor is simple and stylish, and the restaurant didn't get too loud despite being quite busy. Staff were friendly and helpful- recommended a purple gin which we had served with tonic and lemongrass and made for a great start.
First look at the menu- plenty of gluten free options which is always great to see ;)
The Vietnamese pancake (surprisingly gluten free!) was nice and crispy with a good prawn flavour (even if there weren't that many prawns inside) and a very tasty sauce. The snapper was really delicious- interestingly served with a bisque (had an almost Malaysian flavour) and dill which was a nice change. Rice portion was generous, sweet potato fries were good (green chili mayo was great).
Didn't try the chicken pho but reports from the other side of the table were that it was lacking depth of flavour. Portions were a little on the small side for what you pay but consistently tasty on my end. Thank you!
Do yourself a favour and go "feed me" from the menu. In a word "SPECTACULAR" 4 bloke's boys lunch great service as well. We did not book. We were lucky to get a table. Recommend you book first. My new favourite.
On the recommendation of my airbnb host I dropped on for an early dinner on an overnight et and was very pleased with the outcome. Australian/Asian or Asian/Australian it doesn't mattter. Sophisticated and beautifully presented dishes with a nice wine list and attentive, skilled staff it was the highlight of my visit to Burleigh Heads.
Was my second time here last night and again, left feeling super happy and satisfied with the meal - everything we ordered was really good and full of flavour. The meals are a little pricey for the quantity you receive, but hey, quality over quantity right?
Simple, stylish, delicious. This was our experience at Jimmy Wah's. We managed to be seated on a busy Saturday night and the food and vibe was just right. Trendy, yet not as pretentious as many of the neighbouring hipster dives.
If you're a vegetarian and thought Jimmy Wah's wasn't for you, think again. Delightfully, many of the meat dishes can be substituted with tofu, or served without meat. For the vegan among us, beware of the fish sauce - this restaurant may not be for you.
Favourites included the tofu buns and crispy tofu wontons. The papaya salad and rice paper rolls kept it light and fresh. My tip would be prepare to share, and if you're hungry (and not fussy) try the "feed me" option, where the chef chooses the dishes for you. You'll end up spending that much anyway, so it's worth it.
Went by myself and sat at the bar, very attentive staff. Very good selection of cocktails. Ordered the spring rolls, braised beef bao and pho. Spring Rolls were freshly made, served with lettuce so very refreshing and doesn't feel oily at all. Braised beef bao was perfect, the bun so soft it almost felt like it melted in my mouth, braised beef with good flavour along with good use of coriander. Excellent pho, very authentic soup base with a modern twist. Overall very happy with my visit and will definitely return
If you want to see classy interior for a modern restaurant, head to Jimmy Wah's. It's unique - a modern Vietnamese restaurant with some twists - and is a perfect spot for a sunny day.
Staff; very helpful & knowledgeable. One of the more senior members took the time to explain what the head chef was trying to achieve with the different style of menu. The Vietnamese dishes are modern, but they included some old (twisted) classics to appease the generic public. Eg. The banh mi is prawn and pate, and the beef Pho we had was done in a beef oxtail stock which made it taste quite different to traditional Pho.
Vermicelli noodles were fantastic though, nice and thick, and the meat was very well cooked. Maybe I'm just a traditionalist when it comes to Viet cuisine, and although I absolutely love the fit out and the vibe in here, I'd probably order something else when I go there next time. Well done to the first-time restaurant owners for taking the risk!
Went to Jimmy's with my sister last night and had a great night. Being from Melbourne it's a nice new welcomed venue to Burleigh, right across the road from our apartment. Service was good for QLD and my martini perfect. We had the spring rolls my only suggestion would bring back the crispy iceberg they are trying to be trendy with the cos and it doesn't work wrapping up these tasty delights as you just can't wrap them like traditional Vietnamse. Also served with the prawn pancake left me wanting some crispy iceberg to soak up all the juices and pancake. The negative with the pancake was there was about four tiny prawns on one side of my pancake, so really disappointed but super yummy they need to get over the cos lettuce salad and just use nice cups of iceberg. My sister had the coconut chicken and it was amazing, although I think the mains are a little expensive. We will be back for sure well done !
I've been desperately hunting for good Vietnamese food on the Gold Coast, after being spoilt for choice in London. Jimmy's didn't disappoint. Although the dishes may not be strictly traditional, they delivered on full fresh flavours. Staff are friendly and service is swift. The scallop dumplings melted in the mouth and the pork belly was sticky and sweet. The black sesame quail was good although I loved the Vietnamese pancakes. Despite not being particularly hungry, we inhaled our food. Wasn't a fan of the doughnuts as it wasn't what I was expecting- probably needs a better description but I'll be back when I've had my baby- heard the sashimi is divine!
Open for both lunch and dinner, Jimmy Wah’s menu is cleverly balanced between modern versions of popular classics, such as Banh Mi, Pho Bo, Rice Paper Rolls and Viet pancake through to Pan-Asian dishes with a wider range of flavours and derivation: exquisite Scallop ravioli (dumplings) with water chestnut, fermented garlic and black vinegar; and Roast duck breast with young ginger, yuzu, shiso and puffed rice showing an East Asian influence. Most are dairy-free and gluten-free and can be made vegetarian on request. We find that most dishes, such as the Thai-inspired Soft shell crab on green papaya salad, are well balanced between soft and crunchy, sweet and sour, the dish zinging with fresh flavours.
A triumph in every way. From the moment I entered this eatery I knew I was in for a treat. The attention to detail is second to none. The crisp simple Scandinavian fit is refreshing and clean and the green chair tops pop with the blonde wood and white ceiling. This offset with the pop of red on the feature mural made me think of the red and green colours of chilli and coriander instantly. The devil is truly in the detail in this venue with the use of beautiful bone handled cutlery, stunning glassware and elegant crockery, you get a sense of luxury without pretentiousness.
The Staff are warm and welcoming and are knowledgeable in both they food and drinks they are serving. I didn't explore the wine list this time round but my beer's was crisp and cold and served in a equally deliciously cold glass.
The food is stunning, I couldn't fault it and being a asian food purist I was sceptical. The food isn't vietnamese per say but a modern interpritation inspired by vietnamese flavours. There are also other asian influences here as they have sashimi (Japanese) and Bao (chinese) on the menu, but this didn't deter from the flow of vietnamese flavours throughout the dishes. The chef has really hit the nail on the head and everything was delicious.
All in all the best dining experience Ive had on the coast in a long time. A huge congrats to not only the owner/operators but also the staff involved. The whole operation is as smooth as silk and I can't wait to go back.
