Review The Koffee Shack - Burleigh Heads

The WORST breakfast I’ve ever had living on the GC. It looked like slop on my plate. The rosti didnt even taste like potato and was sooo oily, the mushrooms tasted off, they threw a couple of cherry tomatoes on the plate which tasted like off eggs, and the avocado slice was so hard I couldn’t even slice into it! An overall poor experience i cannot believe i paid $26 to sift threw my plate, only to have to pay and leave to the next cafe to pay AGAIN to eat a better meal!!! No quality in the food and no presentation what so ever I’m actually very disappointed that this was even served to a paying customer.

Koffee Shack team, thank you for friendly, efficient service. Clean “shack”, coffee with the right kick, and corn fritters with the right amount of umphhh.(must have). Would definitely come back when next in the area. 💜

Good food here, yummy, juice not over cooked. You could ask for the food cooked condition you want. Friendly staff, nice clean environment, good cover for the sun. My friend used to come here for brunch, he took me to here today. Highly recommended. Btw, the cheesy egg omelette is so good.

A delicious coffee for starters and well worth a look. There’s heaps of metered parking around and the staff are really friendly. Lots of seating too, both inside and out and the prices seem really reasonable. If your down this end of James St it’s definitely worth a look.

The food came out quickly, within a few minutes which was a red flag. Everything was obviously kept warm (not hot) and not cooked freshly. The halloumi was hard so that the knife couldn’t cut through it, the eggs were hard and just warm, the tomato cold. It was so disappointing.

I came here for a coffee and toastie this morning ($10) what a bargain and was delighted by the quality of service and friendliness of the staff. It's safe to say that I'll be coming back here again for a morning coffee and bite, btw the coffee was spot on 10/10

A beautiful meal. Eggs were overcooked however, If you ask for a runny egg, but dont mind hardboiled then come here.

Definitely the best cafe in Burleigh! Always great food and coffee. The staff are always friendly with the biggest smiles on their faces. Can't recommend this place enough!

Food was nice but got charged extra to have bacon with my eggs Benedict without being told when ordering and found a long women's hair in my drink

Have just been for lunch. Food was ok, but very disappointed that when using a Groupon voucher which included a drink you could only get a small coffee - no other options. Not sure if I would return as the waitress was off hand when serving us. Much better places to go to in Burleigh Heads with better better service and food.

💕🌸We went Saturday with 8 of my family and it was fantastic. Only one meal came out later but who cares!!! Will be back for sure. Great service and they looked after us. Food was great and there was something on the menus for all 🌸💕

Good food, pleasant and friendly staff. I brought vouchers through Scoopon, hubby happily added a third egg for $2. Would eat here again:)

Best breakfast we had on our road trip from Sydney to Brisbane and the coffee was awesomen...highly recommended this place

Best breakfast & coffee for the entire duration of our trip! Huge portions, reasonably priced with great service! The potato rosti is a reason in itself to visit! Will definitely be going back � very glad to have stumbled across this gem!

Food took an age even though there were only four tables with customers, ordered the big breakfast bacon eggs hash brown all cold at least they know how to warm up canned baked beans. Protein brekky come out with no eggs first time around. Waste of 50bucks. Let the till man know our problems dude didn't even give a shit. Won't be back

A very disappointing vegan breakfast. One mushroom and tiny portion of avocado accompanied by baked beans and slice of bread. No value here.

This place seemed very easy going and the staff were friendly. We dined here for Sunday lunch. I ordered the vegan salad add avocado which was ok but nothing special. I think I read the menu wrong coz I thought the base of the salad would be quinoa instead of mixed leaves. My husband loved his beef bacon burger on one of those dark buns. Beer battered chips are always a winner.

Took over 45 minutes for the food to come, poached eggs were overcooked, one meal was forgotten and they didn't tell us until everyone else had finished. Will not return

I never met an acai I didn't like. Until today. I tried coming to koffee shack a couple of years ago for a quick breakfast and after waiting 20 minutes without being served we left and ate elsewhere. On this occasion my friends suggested it so I assured myself they must know better than me given they live locally but alas no. I found myself eating a bowl of super sweet artificial rubbish that I couldn't put my finger on. As a connoisseur of acai bowls I'd never tasted anything like it. Then I found out they make acai with apple juice. Is that even a thing? Apparently in Queensland. It was actually so awful I couldn't eat it. It would have been one of those juices that are 99% apple flavouring 1% juice. Sickeningly sweet and not at all conducive to the healthy breakfast I was endeavouring to eat. Truly awful

Myself and a group of 7 friends went to The Koffee Shack for breakfast last Sunday morning. In my many breakfast experiences, a group of 8 is very difficult to seat for breakfast at 9AM on a Sunday morning without a booking. However, when we passed The Koffee Shack we were pleasantly surprised. The staff immediately moved 3 separate tables together for us and sat us very quickly. I ordered the Burleigh Big Breakfast and a Cappuccino. The coffee was the perfect temperature and had a great flavour. My big breakfast was simply impressive. The Rosti was delicious, the bacon and kabana were cooked perfectly, and the side of hollandaise sauce was awesome for a lover of Eggs Benedict. Would highly recommend as a Sunday breakfast location.

Never fails to impress! The Rosti Stack with a Smoothie Special is my favourite breakfast in Burleigh, and my husband thinks the Big Breakfast here is the best on the coast. Always our first pick!

Got off the plane with my partner and decided before check in up in main beach we would drive to burleigh heads and sneak in some brunch. The food here is a must stop if you're in the area. I went for my old reliable eggs benedict and my girlfriend had a potato rosti stack with poached eggs. The best test of a breakfast joint is how well a) they poach their eggs and b) their hollandaise sauce. Eggs were better than some rubbish hispter melbourne joints dish up. Soft and runny. And the hollandaise was good. Maybe will return on our flight home as we oass by

My husband and I went for breakfast today, the service was very friendly and efficient, we each had a fresh juice, then I had the rosti stack and my husband had classic eggs benedict. These were both absolutely delicious, best we have had up this way, we come up each year, coffee also great, well worth going

Fast and friendly service. Menu has a lot of options. Food and drinks came out promptly. Enjoyable brunch and will go here again to try other options

Eh - nothing terribly exciting.. The Bircher Muesli was alright. Iced coffee wasn't anything special, not worth $7.50. Service was good. But nothing really impressed me.

Coffee was ok, avocado "special" was not good, cold eggs, cold stale bread, 2 small pieces of feta. Not nice at all.

Very ordinary lunch. Average at best. Had the salt and pepper squid. Squid soggy, chips could have been heated in a microwave. They could not provide us with a tax invoice at the end.

The only place I could find a decent coffee on the Gold Coast. These people know what they're doing - Melb Coffee Snob.

Great coffee. 4 of us had lunch here today. All of us had really nice generous sized meals. I had the Chicken tenderloins in creamy pesto sauce which was delicious. My hubby had the all day Big Breakfast which looked fantastic and he said it tasted as good as it looked. There was no room on the plate for any extras. The other meals ordered were the pancakes and BLT which apparently were also very good. The coffee was really good. So much so we had to have a second cup which we rarely do. Prices were very reasonable and service good and I thought it was good value for money.

Love the breakfast. Have been quite a few times to Koffee Shack now and have loved it every time. Even during the busy times the staff are quick to take orders ect and most importantly are happy :) Both the food and coffee were good 8/10 for both. Would recommend to anyone.

Terrible! Worst coffee ever- so weak and milky! Breakfast = disappointing, no feta with avo special, cold mushrooms and less than average presentation. Keep walking around to canteen!

Koffee Shack’s fairly quiet, tucked away off the busy highway, and the café’s small enough to have a decent conversation without being drowned out by high decibel conversations echoing off tiles. The service is prompt, food is fresh, and we love the coffee!
