Review Wahoo's Fish Taco Of Australia - Burleigh Heads

This place is fantastic...I had the fish Tacos and hubby had the beef...The fish tacos were fresh and just melted your mouth. We will be going back before we leave...yum yum yum 😋 😍 The staff were great...the place was clean. Oil was fresh as you can see from the chips...

Portion size was bigger than expect. I got the 2 nachos for $30 deal which is quite well priced. Spicy pulled pork and grilled fish. The only opportunity for improvement is for the spicy pulled pork, I'd change the sauce, it seemed like it was just siracha which I don't think adds much in the way of flavor. If you are there on a Friday/Saturday night, expect a 45 minute wait. If you aren't in a rush, grab a few drinks, but I wouldn't bother if you are in a hurry.

10/10 in every way you could think! Friendly service, food didn’t take long at all despite them being busy, ENORMOUS portions, tasty, ice cold drinks, and really reasonable prices. If you want somewhere to go for lunch in Burleigh this is it!!!

The last time I had a burrito from this place it was awesome.. Today I ordered a shredded steak burrito! The young blond girl behind the counter clearly didn't want to be there. No smiles, no hello, just no manners and definitely no enthusiasm!. Even if it was a bad day.. make an effort! The burrito itself was flavourless!! I'm hoping it was just a bad day for them. I don't think I'll be going back. Shame cos they used to be so yum!

Fantastic food - absolutely smashed 6 fish tacos between my little bloke and I. 3 fried, 3 grilled. Fried were better but all were amazing. Fish was juicy and tender, salad was fresh, service was fast. Will definitely be back 👍

This place is sick!! Love it. In fact best burger I maybe have ever had!!! That’s right. Burleigh Burger for the win. Heaps of places to sit inside and out and prices were really good. Did I mention how good the burgers were? The only point of improvement I could suggest is the staff member who served us seemed fairly angry about something. But the food more than made up for that ;)

Really slow service for a Saturday lunch. There was one person taking orders and one person cooking. If you are hungry or want food quick go somewhere else. The food is nice.

GOOD VIBES, CHEAP BEERS & TACOS Pros and Cons listed below 👇 It appears to be running true to the Burleigh Heads vibe and is likely owned by a young surfer. Customer service was friendly however lacked explanation of the menu, sauces available, offering of lime/lemon etc.. which turns a ordinary taco to something better (Chilli & Lime sauce at the grill). Learnt this from my second time ordering as I was slightly disappointed initially 🤔 Pros 🤙 - cheap beers & tacos! - serving size - meat quantity - fresh tortillas and meat Cons 👎 - Plain / ordinary - Lacked Creativity - sour cream seemed inappropriate and aligned to the classic hardshelled taco you'd have as a child. If you're after a Latin street taco... It's not quite there... It definitely could be! From what I understand, there is competition two doors down. I'd 100% support these guys as opposed to their competition.... But... Make your taco speak for itself 💪

Very generous portion sizes for the price, however lacked any taste. I got the burrito bowl with fish and it was quite tasteless. The burger and fries were ok however the burger fell apart and had way too much sauce.

Not a good experience 😔 Ordered take-away, but when we got home there were no fish tacos. Also, the salad bowl was bland & the chicken seemed like it was out of a can. Customer service wasn't good either. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.<br/>

We dined here on a Friday night. I recommend sitting outside for a nice atmosphere than inside. The prices are good value for money which is the main reason for which I’d return.

Tasty food, friendly service, and fantastic value for money, it’s not a fine dining eatery, if you are after a quick relaxed bite to eat, great place. We had a couple of beers and more food than we could finish for $45. Will be back!

Absolute classic, great tasting food. Such a great atmosphere and great chefs. Wasn't hasselled by the staff which is a bonus too. The Chachos are amazing and I had leftovers all for $10!!!!!

I will never go here again. The food was horrible and the staff were rude! I wish I didn't waste my time especially seeming that Ze pickles is just around the corner.. I legit had one bite of my food and ended up walking out.. the plate was dirty, they didn't clean the table from the last people. Never again

Surprisingly busy on a Sunday arvo, guess it shows location pays dividends and when you've just finished at the beach in Burleigh, you're likely to duck across the road and be confronted by the opportunity for American style tacos and burgers.<br/><br/>We waited quite a while for our meals, and the chips were waaaay too salty. Pulled pork tacos had a special 3 for $10 advertised out front, but weren't overly filling and lacked some sauce flavouring. Burger was ok with Turkish bread bun, but nothing out of this world.<br/><br/>Very good for what it is and what you pay, but there's far better places for Mexican and a Burger in Burleigh and surrounding areas :)

A group of us girls and their children went out for lunch today. Regretted picking this restaurant right after ordering as the rude lady at the counter announced that we couldn't eat the food that we just ordered in the restaurant because it was only $6 okay.... We than chose to sit outside the restaurant to wait for our hot chips. When the food was ready, the same lady said "chips to take away" as if to kick us out. We didn't move as we had a one and a 3 year old and it was just the perfect spot under the shade. One one my girlfriends than posts a review on their Facebook page and from there we were treated like absolute dirt. The owner come out and yelled "real classy" in front of the children. We were shocked, we decided to help the kids finish eating until the lady come out again with her phone questioning us as to who wrote the post. We didn't say anything to provoke the situation. The lady than screams at us yet again and says "it is a very busy time and we have customers buying $20-$30 of food" however we looked it the restaurant and there were still plenty of available tables. We still said nothing. After the whole situation the post was deleted. So another friend wrote a post again, I was lucky enough to scream shot it in time. Everyone please avoid this take away restaurant, they are very rude and couldn't care less about children being present when using their foul mouths. The amount you pay for food determines the way you will be treated and weather or not you are "allowed" to sit in their take away shop. Absolutely ludicrous!<br/>

Delicious!!! Food is wonderful and flavoursome. Service is pretty average but they're just extra relaxed - sometimes better than too much service, right? During our trip we keep coming back for the chill vibes and country fried chicken tacos. $4 beer goes down a treat too! Would certainly recommend. :)

Wanted to try Ze Pickles but they're not open for lunch (how disappointed) since we paid for the car parking meter already...end up looking for elsewhere to eat...randomly thought give their tacos a try..we had 3 tacos (fish-bland, steak-meh, pork -ok because it had bbq sauce in it).my hubby had California burrito which is Chicken+Chip+sour cream . surprisingly tasted nice but i couldn't enjoy it beacuse the plate looked so dirty..the cutlery too...overall nothing special about this place..not worth another visit.

Service from a last I believe was part owner, was just horrible she was miserable and rude. <br/>Not a smile nor any kind of pleasantries. <br/>It was not busy in there, so you would think she would have had time to give a smile. <br/><br/>I had the fish tacos and my wife had the Burleigh burger. <br/>The burger was great. However the fish tacos were extremely bland !!!!!<br/><br/>No taste as far as Mexican goes. <br/><br/>Chips were would good.

filthy restaurant, beyond rude service I wish I could give it less than a 1.  The food if you could call it that was slopped on a plate by a disheveled butcher.  Stay away if you like yourself and your health

Yeah sorry but as low as we can go for me. Had a club head down on a Saturday night, arrived at 8.15 to find doors closed and 2 staff members standing inside who wouldnt even acknowledge the people outside. There was 30+ people and they wouldnt even come to the door to let us know they were closed. Queried them on their Facebook page and was told they close at 8 every night. I can understand the times on this website could be incorrect but to have the times on their door out of 4 hours (it says open til midnight) is just piss poor running of a business. Shame too as we had already organised a group of 50+ people for next week. And alot of those who showed up last night were regulars who now say the won't be back. I know I wont waste my time again.<br/>

Poor Customer Service. Service and food was horrible. Definitely not going back. We were kicked out at 7:30pm (dinner time) so they could close.

Yum!. Great service. Very well priced. Had the California Burrito and it was great!! Came here on a recommendation from a local. Will be back again when I visit next!

Lived in California, been to Baja Mexico, these tacos suck. If you want Australian food, go here. If you want Mexican, avoid it. <br/><br/>The owner gives discounts if you give poor reviews to his competition.

Location makes up for average nachos. The wonderful location and sea breeze makes up for the embarrassing 'Australian' take on nachos. However, the fish tacos are to die for. Fresh ingredients and magical flavour. A perfect light lunch.

Don't 2nd guess it, just go.. I've been eating here for the past 6 years and absolutely love it! The baja fish tacos are like nothing else i've eaten in this country or the U.S. & when they're 3 for $10.00 just line em up.

Cheap, but why nasty. After a strong recomendation on the fish taco, I decided to give Wahoo's a run. The tacos, have potential. Lacking in execution. Nachos? well when in Australia don't order mexican. Shame needs to do a lot better

Fish tacos are a winner! So are the nachos but get an extra guacamole with it. Great value lunch!

Perfect post-surf. This is a favourite place of mine for a post-surf snack/lunch. The fish tacos are my favourite thing on the menu. I tried the nachos for the first time today and couldn't finish them-a huge serving! The fish is always perfectly grilled and marinated in something magic! Serving sizes are incredibly generous for the price.

This is a funky establishment which delivers on serving healthy, tasty meals. <br/>The menu took me a few minutes to get sorted before ordering. The ordering experience was average, but my server made up for it by suggesting that I had over ordered (I had ordered too much because I go nuts over trying out new Mexican restaurants). <br/>Food was prepared fresh and arrived quickly. <br/>We had steak nachoes with extra points for using fresh guacamole - yum. <br/>The 3 fish tacos for $10 is great and we tried fish, chicken and steak. All were good but really need a bit more flavour, perhaps some seasoning to cook each of the meats in would make them amazing. <br/>I liked the skateboarding, motoX and other items decorating the restaurant <br/>Overall, a fantastic casual place to eat - make sure you check it out.

Ended up at Wahoo's and was surprised at how cheap and delicious it was!<br/><br/>$12 landed me a huge burger with guacamole, a huge serving of chips and a bottle of water.<br/><br/>The place lacks aircon and took quite a while but was reasonably busy.<br/><br/>Nommmm
