Review Vecchia Roma - Burleigh Heads

We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Staff were polite and the food was extremely delicious and good value for money. Pastas were cooked perfectly. Only suggestion was that the sauce with the ravioli needed to be a little thicker. Really good menu and comfortable tables inside and out. Highly recommend.

We're regular visitors to Burleigh Heads and we make a point of visiting this restaurant at least once per trip. It has a good menu and the food and service has always been excellent. They have gluten free options and, are flexible with dishes that can be made gluten free which is important to us as we have two family members who can not tolerate it.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Have been going here for years but about 3 months ago noticed that the service was going downhill, I order a pizza and half an hour later I was told I couldn't have it as they had run out of pizza dough, go figure. Went there again tonight and it was a disaster. My meal came out 40 minutes before the others. The other meals were delivered one at a time in 10 minute intervals. In total took us 2 hours to get our meals. We won't be going back. Such a shame as it was a great local restaurant. Not sure where the problem is but I suspect the kitchen is the culprit.

Our meals were really yum and the service was above and beyond. My father-in-law asked for pepperoni added to a margarita pizza, my mother-in-law had the steak which she said was very good, i had a margarita pizza with a glass of wine and my husband had a meatlovers pizza req without mushroom or onion and a rum & coke. We would definitely recommend. Love the classic white & red tablecloths too.

This was our favourite local restaurant a few years ago, after tonight's experience we would not go back there again. The new owners are not doing it justice. Food was all cooked with copious amounts of generic tomato paste, everything was overcooked and without any of the finesse we associate with this restaurant. Not to mention we waited 45 mins for food service, despite it being a quiet Wednesday night. I'm really disappointed I wanted this to be great, but it was really poor.

Tasty food and great portion sizes. The staff were attentive and made sure our girl gang was well looked after. The wine list was fantastic as well. Recommend the gnocchi 👌🏽

Very disappointing. Ordered 4 meals served at 10 minute intervals despite being the only guests in the restaurant. Were charged $42 for two children’s meals that didn’t arrive as ordered and took a further 5 minutes to correct. No comment or apology by the manager who took the order. Other staff were friendly but just not sufficiently trained. This is churn and burn hospitality and best avoided.

Brilliant food and service. This is one of the best Italian restraunts I've ever eaten at. Lovely romantic atmosphere. It's an honest shame that it can be so quiet. If your looking for a simple Italian restaurant this is the place to go in Burleigh.
