Been here about 6 times, today was a coffee and sandwich. Medium latte and Cajun Chic Toastie. , I like that I was asked for my covid vaccination, it’s the first place I have been asked and I appreciated it. The coffee was good but the toastie had too much butter on the outside so consequently what looked healthy in the display ended up quite an oily experience. Given I was eating in they could prolly serve the toastie on a plate instead of in a box inside a bag. They had to wash the coffee mug so they might as well wash a small side plate, just to enhance the presentation. The price is boarder line high so you expect a napkin inside the bag with your toastie as well. It’s kind of half dine is and half take away, even she knew I was eating in as she asked for my covid vac. On,y a few suggestions. I will be back.
I love this place! The service is great. Always friendly and professional. The coffee and fresh food are delicious! The girls behind the counter even speak other languages... very cool.
There are so many facets to this shop. They serve pretty good coffee, tea, cakes, slices and cookies. Although the casual staff who often serve seem like they really don’t want to be there, or at least speak to customers. The supermarket aspect is huge, with vast ranges of organic health food products, prices accordingly. They ice cream range for cones is good. They also have an indoor and out door seating arrangements but tables are often vacant but not cleaned. I reckon I’d give it 3.5 stars but 4 seems fairer than 3.
I love this shop. Great selection of deli goods and international items (I am hoping to see some Peruvian items some day!). The actual cafe is good and well priced. The highlight for me is the butcher- super fresh grass-fed beef that tastes very high quality while still being reasonably priced. The man behind the butcher counter is so friendly.
This is not just a cafe - it's a destination for everything you would ever need to make your day a GREAT day!
A calm oasis to meet with your friends for a perfect cuppa, maybe with a Moorish cake on the side.....
Best deli in town (forget about Ferry Road), all your Artisan Cheeses, Olives, Charcuterie, fresh Baguettes, just looking at it makes me hungry.
Do yourself a big favour and visit Ambarella Fine Foods.
All the staff here are very friendly and happy, the açai bowls are amazing and great value and the coffee is amazing too
