Review Mallee Grill - Burnie

We went to see the penguins and the Mallee was close so we stopped in for dinner. Everyone was happy with the meals. All meal came with your choice of chips or roast potatoes which we loved and salad from the salad bar Great choice of steak and sauce to go with it. Very friendly wait staff. More local beers would give it that extra star

Last night was my first experience at the Mallee Grill and oh my goodness… I cannot speak highly enough of the male waiter we had serving us. We had a table of 10, It was a very busy night and it only looked like there was 2 staff on but he did an exceptional job of making sure we were happy with our meals , very polite and a lovely personality which just tops it off! Thank you Nathan for such exceptional service ☺️

Went to Mallee Grill on a Friday evening at 5.30pm. Fortunately we had booked the day before because the place was a hive of activity. Steaks were great and the service was good. I would particularly recommend Nathan who was extremely efficient and knowledgeable. Lily is to be commended as well. The chef did a great job too. Keep up the great work. We'll be back!

Recommended, food and drink by the ocean, well priced, salad bar, try the 750g steak with pepper gravy and raid the salad bar.

Grabbed a feed with the extended family and 2.5 daughter. Service was on point from the front of house team. Smiled, said the right thing and was timely and honest. Nothing was too bigger deal. All 6 adult meals were great, exactly as it said on the menu, the salad bar was a well done enjoyed throw back to yesteryear. L Overall a great night out.

Went in on a Friday night after making a last minute booking. It was clearly busy and the staff were all running around doing multiple things at once but they were all super lovely and made us feel welcome. My steak was cooked perfectly and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the pork ribs. Food didn’t take long to come out at all considering how busy it seemed to be. This was our second time dining here (first time being lunch) and it definitely won’t be out last.

Ambience leaves a lot to be desired, but if you’re after a very good range of steaks I recommend. The sides were alright - nothing fancy, real pub bistro vibes. But the eye filler and range of sauces was solid.

I’ve dined there twice now and had the absolute pleasure of being served by the young man with longish hair and he was vegetarian (didn’t catch his name) but he is EXCELLENT at his job and couldn’t fault his service one bit. Absolute gun at his job and should definitely be paid more for the amount he does! Would go back just for his incredible service!
