One of the nicest breakfasts we’ve had and with the entertainment book voucher ... icing on the cake! We’d definitely come back here again.

Just wondering where I have to go to find clean, fresh food these days. If I wanted preservatives in my food I would order them. Thanks for the massive headache. Get with the program people. Food is meant to be nutritious not poisonous! Never mind the poor level of customer service -I won't be back.
Addendum: I have since returned to the scene of the crime and am please to report that the food although late was quite good and the service is much improved. Thank you for the efforts. Nice to see when staff care about their work!
Went for brunch one morning and had very nice time. It's relaxing a great place to catch up with a friend for a chat and some delicious food.
Great crispy duck salad, sooo delicious. Fish and chips lovely and crispy if a little oily. Lovely light and bright venue. Bathrooms a bit messy
The newly renovated Feather’s Pavillon has undergone a facelift to rival Kim Kardashian and a name change that would make Prince wish he’d gotten in first. Formally The Place Next Door, Feather’s Pavilion offers an open eating arrangement of white wash tiles, iron light bulbs and smooth timber furnishings with an open view of the top of Glynburn Road.

Feather's Pavilion (FP) is a venue I'm regularly driving by, so when I noticed it's modern revamp I (Amanda) couldn't wait to give it a try. FP takes reservations which is convenient especially when you a planning a catch-up and want to ensure you don't miss out on a table. We arrived at 11am on a Sunday and were seated at our reserved table in the 'sunroom'. This is a floor to ceiling glass room at the front with only ceiling fans to keep us cool on this 39 degree day! Inside where we ordered at the counter was lovely and cool from the air conditioning but to our disappointment all the tables were full.
I've been here a few times over the years and it's always been a positive experience. The food is nothing special and in my opinion the serving sizes could be a tad bigger, but the chips are always really good (crisp and extra salty, the way they should be!). Quiz night Mondays are a nice addition, and during the day the pavilion is a nice hangout, and coffees were surprisingly good. Overall, a nice eastern suburb pub, with a nice setting and menu. Will be back (for quiz night Mondays!)
We went to the Feathers Hotel restaurant on 19th Jan 2022 for dinner. There were 4 of us and we had dined here a number of times previously. We had just about given up coming here as most of the meals previously had not been very good.
This time there was a brand new menu and, we understand, a brand new Chef. The difference was amazing.
The food was excellent in taste and presentation. I had the Rack of Lamb as did another of our group. My wife had the Mushroom (vegan) dish despite not being vegan and the fourth person had a Chicken Schnitzel. All of us were pleasantly surprised and said they were excellent meals. The only weird thing was the schnitzel had, as requested, veggies substituted for chips and we were told it might cost an extra $1. Why bother for $1 to leave us with that amount in our heads? Not worth the breath to say it. I don't even know if it was charged or not as it is so small an amount not to register in my brain.
We will definitely be returning.
Congratulations to the staff for attentive service and to the Chef for a massive improvement to the food.
Booked a table of 22 for a birthday gathering on a Thursday night. Everything went extremely well, food terrific and promptly served. Despite being a cool night the heaters kept the area at a perfect temperature. Great bar service, especially from Oscar, very friendly, accommodating and capable young man! The group had a great time. Thanks
We came here to celebrate my daughters graduation. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Great food, great atmosphere, great dining experience. It was my second time here and I would definitely be dining at The Feathers again. Highly recommend this place for any occasion.
We came here for lunch to celebrate my nieces 21st birthday and sat in the Greenhouse Restaurant area, which is light and bright and beautifully furnished (and with a central fireplace!) We were made to feel very welcome by the staff who were friendly, polite and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and it was lovely to be served by people who know that working in hospitality means that you need to be 'hospitable'! The menu had plenty of choices and the food was excellent - my husband said it was the best steak he had eaten in a very long time and that he would return just for the steak. It is a beautiful hotel and the recent upgrade/refurbishment has been done with respect for the historical significance of the building. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
Simple well maintained pub complex set up with a recently built ~50 seat enclosed beer garden attached to a vintage two storey hotel with cafe next door and very pleasant decor throughout. The big screen in the beer garden is good for sports, and I've seen footy and soccer displayed. There's also a refined restaurant in the original building, something I'd like to do in the near future if I can find a good reason. Staff are friendly and the selection of tap drinks is good but they recently underwent some changes, removing some of their more special choices. Those choices weren't delivering in terms of sales I guess. I understand there's accommodation upstairs, and I've been told that you can view before booking. Covid might have changed that temporarily, but I like the idea of a small collection of well maintained rooms. The seating out the front of the cafe is wooden picnic style with umbrellas that shade mostly in the middle of the day, but if you get it just right with the sun setting and a gentle breeze blowing through, it can be very nice indeed. It was my regular for a long time and my situation changed some time ago. Now I'm meeting a friend there regularly and even if we change the arrangement I think I'll just keep going there regardless, it's a good place to chill.
We came to the Pavilion for dinner for my daughters birthday. We had a booking for 12. The staff were great, very accommodating. We couldn't fault the pizza's in fact the bases were one of the best we have had. The only feedback I could give is that the fish and chips took some time to come out which meant that one person was left waiting for dinner while others were eating the pizza. I would visit again based on my experience.
Have not been to The Feathers Hotel in year's!!
Amazing, we had lunch in the Pavilion restaurant.
It was a cool day but can imagine the blinds up and the atmosphere would be excellent.
Great food, professional staff and a good feel to the hotel.
Certainly will be going back.
