We got take away. We shared it as an extended family of about 10 people. We ordered the satay chicken sticks. Larb mince chicken. Red curry chicken. Beef and oyster. Chicken and cashew nut. Fried rice with pineapple. Thai noodles. Everyone loved it even the teenagers who are not normally adventurous in their eating tried and got a pleasant surprise. We even got a free bonus entree. I would go there again if I didn’t live so far away

Half point deduction only because take away lid wasn't placed on tightly and most of sauce ended up in the carry bag which meant a very dry curry for dinner. Spring Rolls were probably the best I've had in a long while. Will continue to buy from here.
My local Thai - tasty, fresh and includes more vegetables than elsewhere. Can always rely on the duck pad Thai and curry to hit the spot. Super quick from order to pick-up.
Had some lovely, tasty food, Tom yum soup, chicken green curry and coconut rice, the soup was very flavoursome, with a nice kick to it, the curry was tasty and the coconut rice complemented nicely with it. The staff were friendly and the food was packed well. Would recommend and will be back ...
Good, reliable local restaurant. Favourites are the Pad Thai and Garlic & Pepper Chicken (done with ground black peppercorns, which is a little spicier than I'm accustomed to elsewhere). Friendly, quick service.

We order takeaway regularly and are never disappointed with the delicious food!! We have tried just about everything on their menu and have yet to dislike anything. Favorites are cashew chicken, red curry, crispy pork kalan and pad Thai also LOVE their spring rolls. Also LOVE how friendly they are and how fast they are to cook our meals!
Great Food. I had food from the restaurant when owned by the previous owner which I thought was very good. Since the change of ownership, the food is outstanding. I have had the Tom yum goong, a red curry, and my favourite, a dish called Thai Spicy which has a red curry base with basil chili and green peppercorns. Definitely one for spicy food lovers :) Fantastic food, and a lovely owner.
Best Thai on the north side. I used to think the Thai at Thai Sa-on was ok, but when I returned after hearing they were under new management, I'd say it's the best Thai I've ever had! Fresh, full of flavour, and not that average, sloppy and generic Thai you can get from suburban take-away sometimes. Our favourite is the pork kai-lan.
Lovely Food. Agree with the previous writer. Since the change of hands the menu and food has imroved and is now one of my favourites. Have to try the crunch pork with kai-lan, it's incredible

Thai Sa-on Reborn!. Thai Sa-on has been operating for a couple of years and has always provided good quality, but to be frank, not that exciting Thai food - standard suburban, Friday night take away fare.
That all changed a few weeks ago when new owners re-opened the restaurant after a short hiatus. What a change!
Thai Sa-on's new owners are serving the best Thai food that I have eaten in Brisbane for a very long time! It's fresh, features a great combination of fresh herbs, its as spicy as you ask for it to be, its just excellent. We had beef salad and chicken green curry last Friday and immediately knew that we'd become complacent by accepting food that was OK but not good. That's all changed. The beef salad, in particular, was excellent. I can't wait to try the larb next time we go there, which will be soon!
The menu is still pretty standard fare for Thai restaurants but a few regional specialities have been added which bring variety not found everywhere. Best of all, everything is still very reasonably priced.
The restaurant still mainly functions as a take-away but seating has been increased, both inside and outdoors under the shopping centre awning.
It's great to finally have a high standard, reasonably priced restaurant so close to home.
This is our favourite Thai restaurant close to home. We always get take away and I love that they take extra care in wrapping the curries so that they don't spill on the way home.
I'm long time customer of their food and it is the best, every meal I order It's so yummy. I have been searching everywhere Thai food no were the same
I live on the Southside of Brisbane so it's takes me around an hour to drive out here and it's totally worth it The food is always amazing and the staff always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend the drive out, easily one of my favorite thai joints in Brisbane.
Our food from them is always delicious. Havent ever had a bad meal. We have found since the new owners that portion sizing of veges has decreased. We used to easily get two meals, one for the following days meal but now you are pushing to do that but there is certainly no issue with the quality of the dishes that we always have. Delicious as ever. If the quantity of the dishes increased as to before, I'd give them 5 stars.

Mostly busy with takeaway but we decided to try, and so happy we did. Great portion sizes, lovely flavours. Menu has a large ability to choose portion with sauce for stir fry to suit anyone. We left so full and enjoyed the leftovers 2 days after with great flavours again! We will certainly try again for takeaway.
