Review Wild Bean Cafe - Burpengary

Tracey Hethorn
Stopped for a coffee at the cafe BP northbound this afternoon about 4pm and there were 2 young men there serving and making the coffee. Both were extremely pleasant, well mannered, happy and smiling. They looked like they absolutely loved their job and their customers. It was lovely to see two such happy employees. Well done!!

Had to travel Bruce Highway.decided to get drink and food in case of hold-ups. At wild bean south bound burpengary NEVER AGAIN. could not see screw top bottle of cold coffee Bought soft drinks SANDWICH. extremely difficult to see what choices there were. Grabbed the closest. 6 doughnuts was difficult.only 4 to a box . Another 2 would have fitted in but apparently against the rules... Service was pleasant. Doughnuts were fine SANDWICHES WERE ABSOLUTELY AWFUL chicken?????? Where???? Mayonnaise???? Honest??? Made in Australia of ? 85% Australian ingredients??? Why not 100%??? And where in Australia was it made? Dill??? Didn't taste any. NO BUTTER NO TASTE even though looking through the ingredients the sandwich should have been Bursting with flavour Difficult to open the package. Date of expiry was today's date. I am wondering how long ago the sandwich was made I am also hoping the miniscule bit of lettuce on the old side won't upset our stomachs.. realised too.late we should have removed it. PLUS THE COST COMPARES WITH THE VERY FRESHLY MADE CHICKEN, AVOCADO, MAYONNAISE SANDWIVH PURCHASED FROM A ROADSIDE COFFEE VAN NEVER WILD BEANNING AGAIN

Two coffees, one veggie pastie. Pastie was hot, fresh and delicious. So were the coffees. This place is great. I remember seeing it a few years ago and the food looked 'meh', but they've really stepped up their game. We had the cheese and spinach rolls at another Wild Bean the day before and they were great, too.

Went in to grab a quick sandwich I had chicken avocado and cos lettuce. The chicken looked like paste and I am still trying to find it. There was a touch of green on a bit of a slice of bread and the cos looked like it came from the chicken run. Needless to say it went in the bin would have been better getting Maccas at least you know what you are going to get everytime.

Super fast and friendly service. Consistently good f&b. It’s becoming a bit of a habit to stop here on my way into work

Won’t accept keep cups unless they are clean. Also won’t rinse them out for you. Defeats the entire point of a keep cup if you can only use it once before a cafe refuses to fill it or clean it. Really poorly thought out policy and bad for the environment as well. Coffee itself was ok. Although the prices are exorbitant for a petroleum station cafe.
