Turned up here on a night when there was a festival in town so VERY quiet. But staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome. Food was okay but really just basic pub fare, nothing special. Menu was very limited. But generally a nice atmosphere and pleasant experience.

Have stayed here in a powered campsite for 3 days. $25 per night. Great bargain, dogs on lead permitted. More space per site than the caravan park. A little road noise but nothing we couldn't sleep through, though we were in a camper trailer so vans probably wouldn't hear much. Tim and Sarah are fantastic hosts with so much knowledge of the rich history. The pub is amazing to learn about.

Good meals and quality service. A beautiful old building worth enjoying for yourself. And a good place to get you out of the rain like we had to. Appreciate the kindness of staff.

Second time here, host Tim is a very interesting person, makes you most welcome, camped out the back, few cold ones, a great feed, he even gave the 4 of use a private dinning room with a fire, a must to stop over at

Great place for an overnight stop with the caravan. Power and water, showers and toilets available for $$. Good value pub meals and friendly atmosphere.

This is a pub not to be missed, the food was terrific, the ambiance was quintessential and of course the beer, cold. Definitely a great stop!

Love dropping in to see Tim and grab a beer and meal, whilst either camping out the back or on our way to stay at the old school house at Mt Bryan East.

We stopped at Burra late December and had dinner here on our way through. The managers may be new to the pub but their experience showed - wonderful service and the best pub meal we’ve had in a long time. I had the fish and the batter was so light and crisp with a fresh salad. Hubby had a parma with a homemade sauce that was full of flavour. Hoping to stop by again on our way home.
